Knowing about a possible failure in the work of your hard drive means having time to prevent all your data from being lost . HDDlife is a usable program that will allow you to control the health of your hard drive using an intuitive interface. Just run the program and it will show you the list of your disks with the percentage of their health left , as well as their temperature.
HDDlife can work in the preventative mode when it checks the health of your hard drives at regular intervals and informs you about the results of these checks in an unobtrusive way. If you get warned about a possible hard drive failure , you will protect yourself against losing your naturally priceless personal data.

As few technical terms as possible and displaying the information about the health and life of your hard drives in the most comprehensible way - this was our main goal. And we think we achieved it since you can evaluate the state of your hard drives literally at a glance.
Unique technologies
HDDlife features a number of technologies developed exclusively by BinarySense company and absent in any similar software.
JustNow!™ is a completely new technology that allows you to find out the state of health and performance rate of your hard drives immediately both when you start the program for the first time and when you start it again! There is no need to monitor disks over a long period of time! No analogous software allows it! Thanks to this technology, HDDlife also shows the health and performance level in percentage as compared to a new disk.
AnywhereView™ - monitoring the health of hard drives in any program´
Another exclusive development from the BinarySense company that you will not find in products from our competitors allows you to constantly see the state of your hard drives in a convenient way. The icon representing their health is displayed directly on the icons of the hard drives in all programs on your computer – from the My Computer window with the list of drives and to the "Open File" dialog box of any program - Word, Notepad. You will never forget about the health of your hard drives and about the safety of your data!

We always want to know about troubles and problems that are in store for us beforehand. The regular and constant use of HDDlife will allow you to find out about a possible hard drive failure beforehand and to prevent your personal data from being lost.
Regular preventative checks
HDDlife can work in the background mode checking and controlling the health of your hard drives and the safety of your data at certain time intervals. At the same time, it uses as little memory as possible and does not annoy you with unnecessary messages.
Disk performance control
To be able to work efficiently, you must know not only the health, but also the performance rate of your hard drive. With HDDlife, you will be able to see when it approaches the critical level and have time to replace your hard drive before it becomes too slow and paralyzes your work.
Disk free space info
Photos, presentations, home video – all this occupies a lot of space on the disks of your computer. Only yesterday everything worked normally and now the computer slows down, documents cannot be saved, constant error messages about «not enough space…» appear on the screen.
To prevent such situations, we added the feature of controlling free disk space to the new version of HDDlife. The complete information about all partitions of your hard drives – the name, file system, total size, free (available) space.
Of course, the AnywhereView™ technology supports displaying information about free space in any application – from the «My Computer» window to the «Open File» dialog box in Microsoft Word, etc.
A thermometer for your disks
Modern computers emit a large amount of heat and use coolers to get rid of it. A hard drive is no exception: the faster it works, the hotter it gets. When the temperature of a hard drive increases by 10°C, its performance rate gets two times less! That is why it is very important to monitor their temperature too. HDDlife allows you to solve this problem as well since the actual disk temperature is always displayed in the system tray (next to the computer clock).
Another nice feature is that HDDlife can show you the highest temperature the disk has reached for the entire period of its work (in case the disk supports this feature). It will allow you to determine how the disk has been working so far, whether it has ever been overheated before and whether it will have failures in the future.
Information about time of the hard disk’s work
When you buy a hard disk, especially from a private person, you want to be sure that everything is OK, that the seller isn’t concealing anything and you simply want to know how old this hard disk is.
Now, with HDDlife 2.6 you can answer all these questions! The new version displays for how many hours your hard disk has been working – and you can always check your suspicions.
Adjusting the AAM level – Performance/Noise
For several years all modern hard disks are supporting the AAM (Automatic Acoustic Management) technology that allows adjusting the level of noise produced by your hard disk during its work. Of course, its performance changes too, but the practice shows that the changes aren’t dramatic.
HDDlife 2.6 includes a feature of adjusting the noise/performance level! Now you can adjust it at your option; the program saves a prompt about the level recommended by the manufacturer and you can always restore it.
Our experience shows that for some hard disk models (like Maxtor) you can achieve considerable noise reduction – make its work almost silent!
Remote monitoring and notifications´
Monitoring the health of hard drives on networks in enterprises is also a fairly important issue. Repairing a computer after a hard drive failure can take much time of highly qualified and expensive personnel. HDDlife allows you to detect the pre-failure state of a hard drive and replace it before it gets out of order. Network administrators can configure the parameters for notifying about the dangerous state of hard drives. Such notifications can be sent over the network (similar to net send...) or by e-mail, which makes monitoring as remote as you need it.
Interface in your native language
HDDlife supports a multilingual interface. All messages, menus, summaries, settings are now available in your favorite and native language. The standard distribution package of HDDlife includes 14 languages that are most widespread. Besides, new languages are constantly added.
