Thee only we serve; to Thee alone we pray for succour.

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ (۱) اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ (۲) لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ (۳) وَلَمْ يَكُن لَهُ كُفُواً أَحَدٌ (٤)
به نام خداوند بخشنده ي مهربان‏
1. بگو: «او خدايي است يكتا‏،
2. خداي صمد
3. نه كس را زاده‏، نه زاييده از كس‏،
4. و او را هيچ همتايي نباشد‏.»

YUSUFALI: Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;

YUSUFALI: Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
3
YUSUFALI: He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الآعْلَى (۱) الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّى (۲) وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَى (۳) وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَى (٤) فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَى (۵) سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلاَ تَنسَى (۶) إلاّ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَى (۷) وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَى (۸) فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَى (۹) سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَى (۱۰) وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الآشْقَى (۱۱) الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَى (۱۲) ثُمَّ لاَ يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلاَ يَحْيَى (۱۳) قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّى (۱٤) وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّى (۱۵) بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا (۱۶) وَالآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى (۱۷) إِنَّ هذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الآولَى (۱۸) صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَى (۱۹)
به نام خداوند بخشنده‌ي مهربان
1. نام پروردگار والاي خود را به پاكي بستاي‏.
2. همان كه آفريد و هماهنگي بخشيد.
3. و آنكه اندازه‏گيري كرد و راه نمود.
4. و آنكه چمنزار را برآورد؛
5. و پس [از چندي‏] آن را خاشاكي تيره‏گون گردانيد.
6. ما بزودي [آيات خود را به وسيله سروش غيبي‏] بر تو خواهيم خواند، تا فراموش نكني‏؛
7. جز آنچه خدا خواهد، كه او آشكار و آنچه را كه نهان است مي‏داند.
8. و براي تو آسانترين [راه‏] را فراهم مي‏گردانيم‏.
9. پس پند ده‏، اگر پند سود بخشد.
10. آن كس كه ترسد، بزودي عبرت گيرد.
11. و نگون‏بخت‏، خود را از آن دور مي‏دارد؛
12. همان كس كه در آتشي بزرگ در آيد؛
13. آنگاه نه در آن مي‏ميرد و نه زندگاني مي‏يابد.
14. رستگار آن كس كه خود را پاك گردانيد؛
15. و نام پروردگارش را ياد كرد و نماز گزارد.

In the name of Allah the merciful and the compassionate

YUSUFALI: Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High,
2
YUSUFALI: Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion;
3
YUSUFALI: Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance;
4
YUSUFALI: And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture,
5
YUSUFALI: And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble.
6
YUSUFALI: By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget,
7
YUSUFALI: Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden.
8
YUSUFALI: And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path).
9
YUSUFALI: Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer).
10
YUSUFALI: The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah):
11
YUSUFALI: But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones,
12
YUSUFALI: Who will enter the Great Fire,
13
YUSUFALI: In which they will then neither die nor live.
14
YUSUFALI: But those will prosper who purify themselves,
15
YUSUFALI: And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer

سورة الغَاشِيَة (۰)
بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ (۱) وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ (۲) عَامِلَةٌ نَاصِبَةٌ (۳) تَصْلَى نَاراً حَامِيَةً (٤) تُسْقَى مِنْ عَيْنٍ آنِيَةٍ (۵) لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إلاّ مِن ضَرِيعٍ (۶) لاَ يُسْمِنُ وَلاَ يُغْنِي مِن جُوعٍ (۷) وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِمَةٌ (۸) لِسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ (۹) فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ (۱۰) لاَ تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لاَغِيَةً (۱۱) فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ (۱۲) فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَرْفُوعَةٌ (۱۳) وَأَكْوَابٌ مَّوْضُوعَةٌ (۱٤) وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ (۱۵) وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ (۱۶) أَفَلاَ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى الإبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ (۱۷) وَإِلَى السَّماءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ (۱۸) وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ (۱۹) وَإِلَى الآرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ (۲۰) فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌ (۲۱) لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ (۲۲) إلاّ مَن تَوَلَّى وَكَفَرَ (۲۳) فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللَّهُ الْعَذَابَ الآكْبَرَ (۲٤) إِنَّ إِلَيْنَا إِيَابَهُمْ (۲۵) ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ (۲۶)
به نام خداوند بخشنده‌ي مهربان‏
1. آيا خبر «غاشيه‏» به تو رسيده است‏؟
2. در آن روز، چهره‏هايي زبونند،
3. كه تلاش كرده‏، رنج [بيهوده‏] برده‏اند.
4. [ناچار] در آتشي سوزان درآيند.
5. از چشمه‏اي داغ نوشانيده شوند.
6. خوراكي جز خار خشك ندارند،
7. [كه‏] نه فربه كند، و نه گرسنگي را باز دارد.
8. در آن روز، چهره‏ هايي شادابند.
9. از كوشش خود خشنودند.
10. در بهشت برين‏اند.
11. سخن بيهوده‏اي در آنجا نشنوند.
12. در آن‏، چشمه‏اي روان باشد.
13. تختهايي بلند در آنجاست‏.
14. و قدحهايي نهاده شده‏.
15. و بالشهايي پهلوي هم [چيده‏].
16. و فرشهايي [زربفت‏] گسترده‏.
17. آيا به شتر نمي‏نگرند كه چگونه آفريده شده‏؟
18. و به آسمان كه چگونه برافراشته شده‏؟
19. و به كوه‏ها كه چگونه برپا داشته شده‏؟
20. و به زمين كه چگونه گسترده شده است‏؟
21. پس تذكر ده كه تو تنها تذكردهنده‏اي‏.
22. بر آنان تسلّطي نداري‏،
23. مگر كسي كه روي بگرداند و كفر ورزد،
24. كه خدا او را به آن عذاب بزرگتر عذاب كند.
25. در حقيقت‏، بازگشت آنان به سوي ماست‏،
26. آنگاه حساب [خواستن از] آنان به عهده ماست‏.

YUSUFALI: Has the story reached thee of the overwhelming (Event)?
2
YUSUFALI: Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated,
3
YUSUFALI: Labouring (hard), weary,-
4
YUSUFALI: The while they enter the Blazing Fire,-
5
YUSUFALI: The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring,
6
YUSUFALI: No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari'
7
YUSUFALI: Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger.
8
YUSUFALI: (Other) faces that Day will be joyful,
9
YUSUFALI: Pleased with their striving,-
10
YUSUFALI: In a Garden on high,
11
YUSUFALI: Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity:
12
YUSUFALI: Therein will be a bubbling spring:
13
YUSUFALI: Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high,
14
YUSUFALI: Goblets placed (ready),
15
YUSUFALI: And cushions set in rows,
16
YUSUFALI: And rich carpets (all) spread out.
17
YUSUFALI: Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?-
18
YUSUFALI: And at the Sky, how it is raised high?-
19
YUSUFALI: And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?-
20
YUSUFALI: And at the Earth, how it is spread out?
21
YUSUFALI: Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish.
22
YUSUFALI: Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs.
23
YUSUFALI: But if any turn away and reject Allah,-
24
YUSUFALI: Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment,
25
YUSUFALI: For to Us will be their return;
26
YUSUFALI: Then it will be for Us to call them to account.

سورة الشمس (۰)
وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا (۱) وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلاَهَا (۲) وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلاَّهَا (۳) وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَاهَا (٤) وَالسَّماءِ وَمَا بَنَاهَا (۵) وَالآرْضِ وَمَا طَحَاهَا (۶) وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّاهَا (۷) فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا (۸) قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّاهَا (۹) وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّاهَا (۱۰) كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَاهَا (۱۱) إِذِ انبَعَثَ أَشْقَاهَا (۱۲) فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ نَاقَةَ اللَّهِ وَسُقْيَاهَا (۱۳) فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِذَنبِهِمْ فَسَوَّاهَا (۱٤) وَلاَ يَخَافُ عُقْبَاهَا (۱۵)
به نام خداوند بخشنده‌ي مهربان‏
1. سوگند به خورشيد و تابندگي‏اش‏،
2. سوگند به مه چون پي [خورشيد] رود.
3. سوگند به روز چون [زمين را] روشن گرداند،
4. سوگند به شب چو پرده بر آن پوشد،
5. سوگند به آسمان و آن كس كه آن را برافراشت‏،
6. سوگند به زمين و آن كس كه آن را گسترد،
7. سوگند به نفس و آن كس كه آن را درست كرد؛
8. سپس پليدكاري و پرهيزگاري‏اش را به آن الهام كرد،
9. كه هر كس آن را پاك گردانيد، قطعاً رستگار شد،
10. و هر كه آلوده‏اش ساخت‏، قطعاً درباخت‏.
11. [قوم‏] ثمود به سبب طغيان خود به تكذيب پرداختند.
12. آنگاه كه شقي‏ترينشان بر[پا] خاست‏.
13. پس فرستاده خدا به آنان گفت‏: «زنهار! ماده‏شتر خدا و [نوبت‏] آب‏خوردنش را [حرمت نهيد]».
14. و[لي‏] دروغزنش خواندند و آن [ماده شتر] را پي كردند، و پروردگارشان به [سزاي‏] گناهشان بر سرشان عذاب آورد و آنان را با خاك يكسان كرد.
15. و از پيامد كار خويش‏، بيمي به خود راه نداد.
In the name of Allah the merciful and the compassionate

YUSUFALI: By the Sun and his (glorious) splendour;
2
YUSUFALI: By the Moon as she follows him;
3
YUSUFALI: By the Day as it shows up (the Sun's) glory;
4
YUSUFALI: By the Night as it conceals it;
5
YUSUFALI: By the Firmament and its (wonderful) structure;
6
YUSUFALI: By the Earth and its (wide) expanse:
7
YUSUFALI: By the Soul, and the proportion and order given to it;
8
YUSUFALI: And its enlightenment as to its wrong and its right;-
9
YUSUFALI: Truly he succeeds that purifies it,
10
YUSUFALI: And he fails that corrupts it!
11
YUSUFALI: The Thamud (people) rejected (their prophet) through their inordinate wrong-doing,
12
YUSUFALI: Behold, the most wicked man among them was deputed (for impiety).
13
YUSUFALI: But the Messenger of Allah said to them: "It is a She-camel of Allah! And (bar her not from) having her drink!"
14
YUSUFALI: Then they rejected him (as a false prophet), and they hamstrung her. So their Lord, on account of their crime, obliterated their traces and made them equal (in destruction, high and low)!
15
YUSUFALI: And for Him is no fear of its consequences.

سورة الفجر (۰)
بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
وَالْفَجْرِ (۱) وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ (۲) وَالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِ (۳) وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَسْرِ (٤) هَلْ فِي ذلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِذِي حِجْرٍ (۵) أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ (۶) إِرَمَ ذَاتِ الْعِمَادِ (۷) الَّتِي لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِي الْبِلاَدِ (۸) وَثَمُودَ الَّذِينَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِ (۹) وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِي الآوْتَادِ (۱۰) الَّذِينَ طغَوْا فِي الْبِلاَدِ (۱۱) فَأَكْثَرُوا فِيهَا الْفَسَادَ (۱۲) فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ (۱۳) إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِ (۱٤) فَأَمَّا الإنسَانُ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلاَهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَكْرَمَنِ (۱۵) وَأَمَّا إِذَا مَا ابْتَلاَهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَهَانَنِ (۱۶) كَلَّا بَلْ لَا تُكْرِمُونَ الْيَتِيمَ (۱۷) وَلاَ تَحَاضُّونَ عَلَى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ (۱۸) وَتَأْكُلُونَ التُّرَاثَ أَكْلاً لَمّاً (۱۹) وَتُحِبُّونَ الْمَالَ حُبّاً جَمّاً (۲۰) كَلَّا إِذَا دُكَّتِ الآرْضُ دَكّاً دَكّاً (۲۱) وَجَاءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفّاً صَفّاً (۲۲) وَجِي‏ءَ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ الإنسَانُ وَأَنَّى لَهُ الذِّكْرَى (۲۳) يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِي (۲٤) فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُ أَحَدٌ (۲۵) وَلاَ يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُ أَحَدٌ (۲۶) يَا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ (۲۷) ارْجِعِي إِلَى رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَرْضِيَّةً (۲۸) فَادْخُلِي فِي عِبَادِي (۲۹) وَادْخُلِي جَنَّتِي (۳۰)
به نام خداوند بخشنده‌ي مهربان‏
1. سوگند به سپيده‏دم‏،
2. و به شبهاي دهگانه‏،
3. و به جفت و تاق‏،
4. و به شب‏، وقتي سپري شود.
5. آيا در اين‏، براي خردمند [نياز به‏] سوگندي [ديگر] است‏؟
6. مگر ندانسته‏اي كه پروردگارت با عاد چه كرد؟
7. صاحب [بناهايي چون] تيرك هاي بلند،
8. كه مانندش در شهرها ساخته نشده بود؟
9. و با ثمود، همانان كه در درّه‏، تخته‏سنگها را مي‏بريدند؟
10. و با فرعون‏، صاحب خرگاه‏ها [و بناهاي بلند]؟
11. همانان كه در شهرها سر به طغيان برداشتند،
12. و در آنها بسيار تبهكاري كردند.
13. [تا آنكه‏] پروردگارت بر سر آنان تازيانه عذاب را فرونواخت‏،
14. زيرا پروردگار تو سخت در كمين است‏.
15. اما انسان‏، هنگامي كه پروردگارش وي را مي‏آزمايد، و عزيزش مي‏دارد و نعمت فراوان به او مي‏دهد، مي‏گويد: «پروردگارم مرا گرامي داشته است‏.»
16. و اما چون وي را مي‏آزمايد و روزي‏اش را بر او تنگ مي‏گرداند، مي‏گويد: «پروردگارم مرا خوار كرده است‏.»
17. ولي نه‏، بلكه يتيم را نمي‏نوازيد؛
18. و بر خوراك ‏[دادن‏] بينوا همديگر را بر نمي‏انگيزيد؛
19. و ميراث [ضعيفان‏] را چپاولگرانه مي‏خوريد؛
20. و مال را دوست داريد، دوست داشتني بسيار.
21. نه چنان است‏، آنگاه كه زمين‏، سخت در هم كوبيده شود،
22. و [فرمان‏] پروردگارت و فرشته ‏[ها] صف‏درصف آيند،
23. و جهنم را در آن روز [حاضر] آورند، آن روز است كه انسان پند گيرد؛ و[لي‏] كجا او را جاي پندگرفتن باشد؟

YUSUFALI: By the break of Day
2
YUSUFALI: By the Nights twice five;
3
YUSUFALI: By the even and odd (contrasted);
4
YUSUFALI: And by the Night when it passeth away;-
5
YUSUFALI: Is there (not) in these an adjuration (or evidence) for those who understand?
6
YUSUFALI: Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the 'Ad (people),-
7
YUSUFALI: Of the (city of) Iram, with lofty pillars,
8
YUSUFALI: The like of which were not produced in (all) the land?
9
YUSUFALI: And with the Thamud (people), who cut out (huge) rocks in the valley?-
10
YUSUFALI: And with Pharaoh, lord of stakes?
11
YUSUFALI: (All) these transgressed beyond bounds in the lands,

YUSUFALI: And heaped therein mischief (on mischief).

YUSUFALI: Therefore did thy Lord pour on them a scourge of diverse chastisements:

YUSUFALI: For thy Lord is (as a Guardian) on a watch-tower.

YUSUFALI: Now, as for man, when his Lord trieth him, giving him honour and gifts, then saith he, (puffed up), "My Lord hath honoured me."

YUSUFALI: But when He trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me!"

YUSUFALI: Nay, nay! but ye honour not the orphans!
18
YUSUFALI: Nor do ye encourage one another to feed the poor!-
19
YUSUFALI: And ye devour inheritance - all with greed,
20
YUSUFALI: And ye love wealth with inordinate love!

YUSUFALI: Nay! When the earth is pounded to powder,

YUSUFALI: And thy Lord cometh, and His angels, rank upon rank,

YUSUFALI: And Hell, that Day, is brought (face to face),- on that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance profit him?

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الآرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا (۱) وَأَخْرَجَتِ الآرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا (۲) وَقَالَ الإنسَانُ مَا لَهَا (۳) يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا (٤) بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَى لَهَا (۵) يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتاً لِيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ (۶) فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْراً يَرَهُ (۷) وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرّاً يَرَهُ (۸)
به نام خداوند بخشنده‌ي مهربان
1. هنگامي كه زمين شديدا به لرزه درآيد
2. و زمين بارهاي سنگينش را خارج سازد
3. و انسان مي‌گويد: «زمين را چه شده كه اين گونه مي‌لرزد
4. در آن روز زمين تمام خبرهايش را بازگو مي‌كند
5. چرا كه پروردگارت به او وحي كرده است
6. در آن روز مردم به صورت گروه‌هاي پراكنده «از قبرها» خارج مي‌شوند تا اعمالشان به آن‌ها نشان داده شود
7. پس هر كس هم وزن ذراي كار خير انجام دهد آن را مي‌بيند
8. و هر كس هم وزن ذره‌اي كار بد كرده آن را مي‌بيند
In the name of Allah the merciful and the compassionate

YUSUFALI: When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion,

YUSUFALI: And the earth throws up her burdens (from within),
3
YUSUFALI: And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'-

YUSUFALI: On that Day will she declare her tidings:

YUSUFALI: For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration.

YUSUFALI: On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done).

YUSUFALI: Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it!
