Multi Clipboard
The contens of the Windows clipboard goes lost with every new item that is copied to it, so if you need more than one clipboard, you need an extra tool.
WithMulti Clipboard you have access to nine clipboard texts (slots), which you can select either via mouseclick when the program window is active, or via Hotkey "Ctrl + NUMPAD 1.. 9",
even if the program is inactive or minimized to the sysem tray.
This copies the selected slot to the Windows clipboard, from which you can paste it into your active application (for instance with Ctrl + V).
The hotkey "Ctrl + NUMPAD 0" either hides or shows the program window, depending on the previous state, so you can operate Multi Clipboard entirely via keyboard.
You can make the program window sit "Always on top" by checking the box in the options dialog.
All settings are saved to disk into an ini-file "MultiClipboard.ini" inside the Windows directory. Options dialog can be accessed by pressing F2.
You can assign every clipboard with an identifier string, which should be a short description of what is in the clipboard slot.
This identifier is displayed as the text on top of the nine buttons, which opens the respective clipboard editors.
As a default, "Clipboard 1" etc. is displayed on top of the buttons.
In the editors you can enter or paste the text for the clipboard slots.
If a slot is empty, the ID button is shown light blue, if there is text in it, it is light yellow.
If nine slots are not enough and you need more, you can change to another of three available files, to which the texts are saved ("CLIP1.TXT", "CLIP2.TXT" and "CLIP3.TXT" in the options dialog.
This enables you to organize your clipboard slots in a way that for instance one is for HTML editing, another for business letters, and the third for private letters etc.
The text files are saved to disk into the folder of the program, automatically when the
program window is closed or when it is minimized to the system tray.
If you use the program regularly, you can put a shortcut to it into your autostart folder (Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Autostart) and check the "Start Iconized" box in the options dialog.
In the rare case that another program you are using uses the hotkeys Ctrl + NUMPAD 1..9, you can
deactivate the hotkey feature in the options dialog and operate the tool via mouse.
