Introduction
BIOS upgrading process is often double headed and could be very risky. On one hand, there are diminutive PCs which still use floppy drives, but sometimes we need to upgrade BIOS in order to get better stability and compatibility. Nowadays, not only enthusiast eager for a brilliant way of firmware upgrading, but also it has become a key consideration for daily users as well.
This special technique called M-Flash has been developed after having taken account of the feedback from MSI’s clients and the R&D team’s creativity. Compared to common mainboard which need extra BIOS chips, M-Flash has a double advantage which doesn’t need extra components and secondly, all your BIOS data will be saved in the USB drive. The stored data does not only have backup and upgrade function, moreover it can also be seen as a portable BIOS chip which is actually able to boot up your PC.

How to use M-Flash
Situation1: Update BIOS
First of all, prepare a pen drive. Then download the latest BIOS version and put it under the pen drive.
Step1: connect the pen drive to your PC first and then start it.
When entering to the BIOS, you will see M-Flash option; choose it and press the Enter button.
Step2: Choose M-Flash function and press the Enter button and Choose BIOS Update

Step3: The system will detect your USB Flash in the Load BIOS source file form
Step4: Choose the BIOS which you want to update (E.g.A7577AMS.130)
Step5: BIOS will be updated through the Flash.
...
Step6: When the update is done, your PC will restart automatically
Note: you have to connect first before you start, otherwise some BIOS functions can’t be used
Situation2: Backup BIOS
Step1: connect the pen drive to your PC first and then start it.
When entering to the BIOS, you will see M-Flash option; choose it and press the Enter button.
Step2: Enter to the M-Flash option in the BIOS; choose “Backup BIOS to USB drive” and choose a path

Step3: No need to rework the saved file names, the system is able to detect them
Step4: Start to save file
..
Step5: Done
Situation3: Boot the BIOS from Pen drive
Step1: connect the pen drive to your PC first and then start it.
When entering to the BIOS, you will see M-Flash option; choose it and press the Enter button.
Step2: Choose the BIOS start function (Boot) and Enter to pen drive and choose the BIOS you wish to start with.

Step3: Save it and exit, the PC will restart automatically
Step4: Enter to the BIOS and check for the updated BIOS
Note: The system will turn to switch on from the BIOS of the mainboard again after being restarted
