Today I watched one of the most impressive movies ever produced
Oh My God; what was it
a movie which u may find broing if u just use yr eyes to watch, more than eyes it needs an open heart to catch n grasp every second of it...
wow
I recommend it to those whose mind have been accupied with the word 'life'. if u wanna have fun with watching a movie that is not suggested
but in case u r intersted in a different movie with different definition of life I do recommend it
the story of a innocent woman who has a very little sight but despite all hardships she worked daysn nightsto make money in order to afford the money which should be paid for his 10 year old son eye surgry

Without seeing the movie I can guess that the story is about a man with supernatural abilities who helps poor and miserable people and fight against injustice:13:, am I right??l
So far so many films containing such a theme have been produced such as spider man, Matrix, Bat man. In my opinion, all of these movies are the same and the sole things which may fascinate the audience, are some famous casts and captivating scenes made by computer technology, though these stories do not have too many words to say

i watched this movie now! the Story of movie is about 3 little boys that they have a problem with 2 another unreasonable boys in their high school they always lose in fight with them,then they decided to employ a bodyguard to protect from them n finally they employ a thief pauper as bodyguard n ... it's better to watch your self!:27: movie is in comedy genre n it have worth of waching ,maybe, the main message of movie is standing against cruel people n fight with them until won!

Its about a woman who wrote a story of her life. she is lez and she explained about her problems in her life with this being lez. there is more women in this film. another one is a woman who is lez too and she read this book and wants to be like that woman. another one is a woman is lez too. but she is the youngest one and she can live with here gf very easily.

It was a great movie. the actors were good but some of them werent so good. but in the whole it was a great movie with new story.

No, I don't agree with you on the claim that the most of romance movies are kind of predictable and not worth watching movies. In my opinion, there are some good examples, like Titanic, Shakespear in Love, or Casablanca which refutes your state and indeed are really sensational and surprising movies. Of course, may be watching some low-ranked movies of this gender has conducted you to make a such hazy claim.
Anyway, everyone has his/her viewpoints and it's completely respectable. And I think otherwise of what you think about horror movies

in one episode they invited two guys that made this serie(writer or s.m like that can't remember exactly) to answer the questions but they did't say anything
e.g they said what is that black smock?well we dont know either!!! i just wanted to punch them

I watched this movie about 1 month ago, it have a lot of increadible sence that use from wonderfull special effect, i like that ,my rate is 8.5

The last movie I've seen is Along Came Polly, another comedy in witch my favor actor Ben Stiller played. It was nice but not as other works of him. At least better than Doge ball! The story again is about couples's problems . the movie is about a newly married guy whose wife betrayed him just during their honey moon !! he leaves her and after few days he meets an old days classmate Polly . she has specific cool personality , however she is too messy but acts so friendly so he falls in love with her , but there is deep differences between these two, as I said Polly is messy and humble but the guy is so neat and do every thing calculatedly , even to chose his wife or Polly , he uses his computer to evaluate them !! beside it , I have a critical opinion about movie's message , at the end of the movie , the guy blamed his wife why she betrayed him and made live with the diving teacher but he doesn't thought why he put his brigde with an stranger alone in a boat !!

yea eternal was complicated movie and one hour photo was completely linear and they have big differences ... but sey didn't receive to his aim with revenge and when he scared them in the hotel and when she didn't divorce her husband the family became warm and sey became their near friends.... and in eternal not only they couldn't separate Joel and Clem but also they lost their loves and we see we cannot reach to our aims with revenge,robbery and other badnesses. this is the reason that I said One hour photo reminded me Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. but as I said Eternal is an other thing becasue it had some more beautifullness and eternal's story was more beautiful ..

my first theory is this

the orphanage probably tried to hide the deaths. They all died from poisoning and it is very likely that they didn't want it to be known. When the medium was there when she went to the room they were in she said that it was locked and later discovered that they were all very ill. I think that this shows that by locking them in the room it shows that the orphanage was trying to hide something. After all, they did hide Tomas in the basement
if you'll remember, when Laura was holding Simons body by the window, she took 2-3 pills. I took it to mean that she poisoned herself and died, going over to the other side where she joined the childrens ghosts

he say in movie , my imaginary friends give me some hints that when i find them , they lead to another hint till i can get my final reward that's a wish , an ambition
about his death i can't say much more, but about laura's death , the boy said her ( i think because i watched movie some months ago )

Last nigh tI watched a weird movie Cube 2 Hypercube, it doesn’t have big actors or good actions or ….. but it has a very good and differed story about Einstein’s theory of relativity about time , some people wake up and figure out they are in a Hypercube !!! they can go from one cube to another but time is different in every cube e.g you can see yourself in another cube but in another time I don’t know how to explain you should watch it yourself
It is high recommended and my rate is 8.5 out of 10

This movie is a masterpiece by casting of Clint Eastwood, Hillary Swank and Morgan Freeman:40:
I watched it in GEM TV on hotbird. It's one of best non-western movies of Clint Eastwood. I really enjoyed it. It's about a girl who loves boxing and goes to a famous boxing trainer (Clint Eastwood). She becomes really good but in an accident she becomes totally paralized. At the end she requests her trainer to kill her and ease her suffering. Watch it yourself and enjoy.

This is a movie witch I saw 2 weeks ago. It was interesting . it's about a woman who's killed her husband that was a cop . she just defended herself against him but the friend of her husband don't believe her. Anyway , she's been sentenced to spend her prison period in her own home with a sensor equipment attached to her foot! So she can’t leave the house otherwise alarms will run and police will come to her immediately. She can just move 100 feet far than a machine in her home. At first it seemed there is nothing wrong with the situation but one night she faced with a ghost!! The ghost of her own husband who's back for revenge !! nobody believes her even with injury spots on her face , the ghost is so horrible and attacks her every night and hits her!! After a wile she finds a friend , a young kind kid who tries help her and she starts relationship with him , the most violent scene of the movie is the ghost assault to the kid!! I really like 100 feet and rate it 8.5 out of 10

Few days ago , I watched the movie that I was looking for , SAW 5 . although I thought they shouldn't
continue Saw movies after third episode but due to my interest to this kind of horror movies , I was eager to watch it. As I expect It began with a bloody scene , a man got slaughtered by a huge ax hanging over his body!! At this one you can see about how the detective start participating in Jigsaw's games, his sister had been killed by her boyfriend ( he had cut her throat ). After few conversation with Jigsaw , the detective accepted to accompany in this criminal games!! It has been written on the cover of DVD (you can't predict the end of this movie) but I think it wasn't so interesting , at least not as first and second episodes . My rating to this movie is 7.5

Prestige a good movie or better to say a masterpiece one
Everything is perfect story-actors- Environment and atmosphere
It is about two juggler that they have competition and hate each other but one of them has a special trick and another one wants to know how he do is that trick and …..
Its story isn’t s.th that I can describe in two sentences it is just masterpiece and high recommended

thanks to dear obituary i watched Mulholland Drive, seems our taste is the same it was really great and #1

Equilibrium another fantastic movie with a great story and dark atmosphere
the story is about future when feeling is kind of guilt ,everybody should use some kind of drug to kill their feelings
and everyone that doesn't use it should be burned you are a detective who should find those people that dont use their drug......
and of course christian ball is an actor and great as he would be
it is really great and my rate is 9.5 out of 10

the story of a lost ring which belonged to a killed pilot n a man who was searching for that in order to give it back to the pilot's beloved and....! (honestly I got help from IMDB n wrote this summary but the story is not only this, go n watch it):20:l

I have probably watched over a thousand films. I generally enjoy watching films, but what I want to watch changes with my mood. I have my favourites though. My TOP favourite film is 'the Shawshank Redemption'.. nothing can ever be better than it. I have several other favourites as well

The most recent film I watched in cinemas was 'Australia'. It stars Hugh Jackman and Nicole kidman, both Australian actors. It is directed by Baz Luhrman, also an Australia and possibly the best and most famous Australian director. He has directed 3 other successful films: Strictly Ballroom, Romeo and Julient and Moulin Rouge! . I really enjoy these 3 because Baz always creates cinematically beautiful films.. His use of colour cannot be matched

The film mainly focuses on showing a little of how badly the English settlers (who came to Australia in the late 1700's) treated the TRUE Australians, the Aboriginees, and how this treatment continued through to the 1980s. The Aboriginees have all been destroyed now. At the same time the film tells of a love story between the two main characters, Sarah (Nicole Kidman) and Drover (Hugh Jackman). The whole story is set during the time of World War II

It is a long film, and sometimes slow, but I still liked it. I do recommend others to watch it if they like, but I think that if you want to watch it (especially if you're in Iran) that you should watch it with subtitles. The film is very Australian, and understanding the Australian accent can be very difficult for someone who is not use to it

This time I'm gonna write about one of the nicest movies that I've ever seen. It's name is Eden Lake. You can see this sentence on the cover of DVD "one of the most provocative and terrifying movies of the year" and it's true. The movie isn't about monsters or Zombies , the creatures which frightened audiences , are few kids !! a young couple planned to spend their weekend near a beautiful lake. everything seems perfect but there are some kids , they're messing up the couple's privacy . the guy protests them but the kids are too impolite , so it just turns the situation worse . now they get more courageous about annoying the young couple .it gets hard to endure when they stole their car keys ! …. I don't recommend you to watch it!! Because I think you'd get depress by watching it , just as my friend did!

I saw Open season 2 last night and it was great, I purchased it for my cousin but
before he came to our home I watched the movie and I think this one is better than the first version, the first Open Season that I watched about 1 year ago, was doubled by Glory Entertainment, witch was a very nice company and I'm a fan of it . But the second one was more funny , Boog's (the beer) accent was like black Americans and the movie included so many idioms . this time some characters have more highlighted appearance in the story like Giseelle (the female dear), Mr Weenie (the little dog of the couples) … and there are some new characters ; some pets who have unfriendly feeling about wild animals
I rate this movie 9 out of 10

The movie was nice it was about a student of journalism who went to London to interview a son of a lord. Mean while she understand that he may be is a tarot serial killer. with the help of magician (woody allen), she met him and in the process of finding out about him, she fall in love with him, and can't believe that he 's a serial killer.....

The ambiance of the film reminded of "Match point" ..these two movies has many things in common.

well, last night I could finally catch 'Cast Away' thoroughly
wow...A MOVIE WHICH SHOULD BE DEFINITLY WATCHED
It's a sorta movie which can be gotten differently
The only survivor of a plane crash who found himself in an unknown Island, there he could survive for four yrs....!!! l
it is fasinating getting to see how he spent these four yrs

Few days ago I bought "Passengers" and last night I watched it. It was a good movie but not perfect. It was about an airplane witch was crashed and a psychologist (Claire) is responsible to talk with survivors. After a while she found out that there is something wrong with these folks , they don't have clear information about their past and some guys are following them everywhere , there is a woman who is working in her apartment who knows a lot of things about her. One of the passengers (Eric) shows his interest to Claire and after some days they begin relationship. Even Eric is followed , and it's a dog and he will find out that the dog is his own dog who has died when he was 6 !! finally Claire discovers the truth and she gets shocked by the fact that is related to herself.
I rate Passengers 6.8 out of 10

Due to recommendation of a friend, I bought "A Bronx Tale" 's DVD and I really enjoyed it. Two nights ago , it was late but I decided to at least test the DVD but the movie was so interesting so I watched half of the movie! (as far as I could stayed awake!) Robert De niro was the actor but not the main actor and he was also the director. The story was about a bus driver's son who is interested in a Italian gang's leader (Sunny) who is a very dangerous criminal. The kid and his friends, imitates every actions and figures of Sunny and it seems that he is their idol. Once a day Sunny kills a man and the kid sees everything but when police wants him to recognize the murderer, he lies and saves Sunny from going to jail, so their friendship starts and now Sunny treats him as a father. I think that's a nice movie and I rate it 8.5 out of 10.

Road to Avonlea is a television series which was first broadcast in Canada and the United States between 1990 and 1996. It was created by Kevin Sullivan and produced by Sullivan Films (later Sullivan Entertainment) in association with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the Disney Channel, with additional funding from Telefilm Canada. It was adapted from a series of books by L.M. Montgomery, author of Anne of Green Gables, which Sullivan had previously adapted as Anne of Green Gables in 1985 and Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel in 1987.

In the United States, its title was shortened to simply Avonlea, and a number of episodes were re-titled and re-ordered. When the series was released on DVD in the United States, the title changed from Road to Avonlea to Tales from Avonlea.

The series is set in the fictional small town of Avonlea, Prince Edward Island, in the early 20th century (1907-1914). There, 11-year-old Montreal heiress Sara Stanley (Sarah Polley) is sent by her wealthy father to live with her two maiden aunts, Hetty and Olivia King, to be near her late mother's side of the family. The show's focus shifted over the years from Sara's interactions with her new-found relatives, to stories about the King family. Later seasons of the show focused more on residents of Avonlea who were connected to the King family, and Sarah Polley, who left the show to focus on academics, and returned for one guest appearances in the 6th season and one in 7th season.

Following the series proper, a reunion movie called Happy Christmas, Miss King was produced in 1998.

Kung Fu Panda is an Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated 2008 American animated comedy film. It was directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne and produced by Melissa Cobb. The film was produced by DreamWorks Animation's studio in Glendale, California and distributed by Paramount Pictures. The film stars the voices of Jack Black as the panda, Po, along with Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Ian McShane, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, David Cross, Randall Duk Kim and Jackie Chan. Set in ancient China, the plot revolves around a bumbling panda who aspires to be a kung fu master. After a much feared warrior escapes from prison, Po is foretold to be the Dragon Warrior, much to the chagrin of the resident kung fu warriors. DreamWorks is working on a sequel to Kung Fu Panda, which is currently in pre-production.[3]

Although the concept of a "kung fu panda" has been around since at least 1993,[4] the idea for the film was conceived by Michael Lachance,[5] a DreamWorks Animation executive. Work on the film did not begin until 2004. The film was originally intended to be a parody, but director Stevenson decided to instead shoot an action comedy martial arts film in the spirit of Hong Kong action cinema that incorporates the hero's journey narrative archetype for the lead character. The computer animation in the film was more complex than anything DreamWorks had done before. As with most DreamWorks animated films, Hans Zimmer (collaborating with John Powell this time around) scored Kung Fu Panda. He visited China to absorb the culture and get to know the China National Symphony Orchestra as part of his preparation.

Kung Fu Panda premiered in the United States on June 1 2008, and has since received very favorable reviews from critics. The film currently garners an 89% "Certified Fresh" approval rating from review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. Kung Fu Panda opened in 4,114 theaters, grossing $20.3 million on its opening day and $60.2 million on its opening weekend, resulting in the number one position at the box office. The film has resulted in DreamWorks' biggest opening for a non-sequel film, and the third-largest weekend overall for a DreamWorks animated film, behind Shrek the Third and Shrek 2.

Curtis Hanson’s Lucky You, from a screenplay by Eric Roth and Mr. Hanson, based on a story by Mr. Roth, may have been intended to cash in on the ongoing multimedia poker-playing mania of which I am almost religiously not a part. For one thing, I realized at a very early stage of my card-playing depravity that I completely lacked a poker face. In fact, I was like the old joke about the man who claimed that he played poker with his dog, and then went on to complain that his dog was a lousy player because every time he got a good hand, he wagged his tail. I never had a tail to wag, but some perceptible glint in my eye or sudden intake of breath gave me away every time, and all the other players folded.
I bring up this shameful personal history only because so much of Lucky You deals with reading people’s facial expressions around a poker table. One would expect me to sympathize with the losers, but my only reaction to losers at poker on-screen or off is a shrug of mingled pity and contempt for these contributors to the mountainous personal debt that is threatening to bankrupt our society. I happened to have lived through the Great Depression, and when I hear that the stock market hasn’t soared this high since 1927, I begin cutting up my extra credit cards.
Having stated my irrational fears, I am still a little surprised by how universally Lucky You has been panned. I’ve been an admirer of the still-committed auteur Mr. Hanson since L.A. Confidential (1997), followed with only a slightly less excellence by Wonder Boys (2000) and In Her Shoes (2005). In this context, Lucky You is hardly Mr. Hanson’s strongest effort, but it does contain many of his saving graces: a warm regard for his characters, an unhurried pace for his narrative and a grown-up sense of morality. Indeed, the greatest failing of Lucky You with the critics may be the unexpected virtuousness in its fabulously sordid setting and its obsessively acquisitive genre.
Huck Cheever (Eric Bana) is a Las Vegas gambler with an Oedipal monkey on his back. His father, L.C. (Robert Duvall), is a former English professor who has won the Vegas-based World Series of Poker two times, and yearns for a third win that will place him in the ranks of poker’s immortals. L.C. represents the old traditions of well-calculated risk-taking. By contrast, Huck is known in the trade as a “blaster,” a comparatively restless player who has on several occasions blown up himself and his raft on a wild-hunch bet. The strange thing is that Mr. Bana projects a charmingly understated poker-faced character, whereas Mr. Duvall has long been associated with “blaster” roles in other contexts.
Drew Barrymore plays lounge singer Billy Offer with her seemingly effortless likability expressed in her magical smile. And she needs all her acting resources to convince us of her character’s heroic capacity to forgive Huck after he has stolen money from her purse after they have made love together for the first time. Nonetheless, I like movies with the right kind of feel-good ending—especially in these dire times, when one form of doom or another is staring at us from every movie billboard. I can’t go into the details of the “virtuousness” in the film, because that would give away too much of what admittedly little there is to the plot.

When Drew Barrymore’s production company, Flower Films, heard about the script for 50 First Dates, they were immediately interested in it. “Drew and I had stumbled upon the script several years ago,” recalls producer Nancy Juvonen. “When we found out that Adam Sandler’s company, Happy Madison, was going to make it we began a campaign to become involved. We had a wonderful time working with them during The Wedding Singer, and over the years we had grown to know each other as friends, so we practically stalked them until they invited us to come and play with them.”

All the elements for a great romantic comedy were there, Juvonen continues. “This was too good a story to not be involved in. The role of Lucy calls for someone to fall in love all over again every single day, and Drew, who falls in love more passionately than anyone I know on the planet, was a perfect fit. And who better to fall in love with than Adam Sandler? He’s got such an easy charm. He’s funny, easy-going, laid back. He knows how to use his wit to make you laugh and there is something charming and ---- about that. When Drew responds to somebody, you can see it. She has passion in her eyes.”

The decision to reteam with Sandler was an easy one for Barrymore, who says she had the “best time of my life doing The Wedding Singer. When I’m having a hard day or need to escape outside of my brain,” says the actress, “there are certain types of films that make me feel happy. They are like medicine. To me, Adam’s films are like a beautiful medicine. I believed with all my heart that we were supposed to make this film. I believe in fate and destiny, but I also feel that you have to gently push things through the channels of the universe. So when I ran into Jack Giarraputo at a party, I mentioned to him how much Nan and I loved this story and then I sat down and wrote Adam a letter.”

What enticed Barrymore about the script was the underlying theme behind its premise, she says. “I thought that a story about a man who has to make his girl fall in love with him every day as if each day is new ­ because in her world it is ­ was the best thing I’d ever heard of. I just love the idea of someone trying to make somebody fall in love with you every day. I think that should always be a goal. It’s a beautiful practice and a beautiful message.”

“Sometimes Henry misses and sometimes he hits but I think a person’s determination is one of his most underrated qualities. It’s what enables Henry to grow.”

Adds Giarraputo, "Adam liked the fact that Henry is a character who becomes a good guy rather than just being a good guy all the time. You start out with someone who is like a revolving door with women. Then he meets this wonderful girl that he likes very much only to discover that there's a fatal flaw."

It was Happy Madison that brought Peter Segal into the mix. Says Segal, “I had just spent a year and a half with Adam on Anger Management, and we had a blast. We were deep into post-production when he asked me if I would do this movie and I jumped at the chance. Making a film is a little like going to war. You become closer because movies are physically tough and it takes incredible endurance to live through months of 14 to 16 hour days. In the end you become comrades. So it’s nice to keep the family together."

Continues Segal, “Adam and Drew were fantastic in The Wedding Singer and they had been looking for the right project to hook up on again. This seemed like an ideal kind of film for that. They are both very smart business people as well as being talented actors. And their companies are incredibly prolific, with a number of projects in various stages of pre-production. It’s very helpful to have actors that know and understand the business. Drew has made more than 30 films. Nothing can faze someone who’s been around the camera for that long. She's also one of the nicest people in the world. It’s very rare that someone comes in every day with a smile on her face, shouting out ‘good morning everyone’ and telling a joke of the day. No matter how difficult things got, especially when we were in Hawaii with the sun going behind clouds, then sun again, then clouds, lots of delays, she kept a wonderful atmosphere on the set.”

Barrymore, who had never worked with Segal before, warmed to him right away. “When Nan and I met with Pete, he said every single thing we were hoping to hear about how we wanted the tone of the film to feel. He understood the great balance between the comedy and the drama of the story. And this film needed that because it goes from being very funny to touching on some serious and interesting issues.”

Even after 30 films, given the right project, Barrymore says there’s almost no place she’d rather be than on a movie set ­ either as an actor or producer, or both. “There are moments when I’m working,” she says “when I can’t believe how lucky I am. Not only am I in an occupation that I chose - which is already a gift - but I’m working on a particular endeavor with a person that I really love. There’s nothing better than waking up every morning looking forward to going to work. Each person involved on a film sets the tone and if they are consistent every day, it makes the whole thing very safe. Adam provides that consistency and safety and levity. He is always kind and nice to everyone, which is so important. Then, creatively he is wonderful to work with because he’s so collaborative. He is always trying to find ‘the funny.’ I’m always learning from him. “

“I think I feel happiest when I’m in an atmosphere with a lot of laughter, and Adam can always make me laugh,” Barrymore continues. “It’s exciting to make a romantic love story with someone you truly think is the greatest person in the world. I don’t think chemistry is something you can fake - and if you have to, it’s a bummer. I think the audience can smell it and sense it.”

According to the film’s executive producer Michael Ewing, who is partnered with Segal in Callahan Films, “there truly is nobody better to work with than Adam. He’s a wonderful actor, a brilliant comedian and a terrific producer and businessman. He’s so smart about story and comedy. When you’re working day-to-day with somebody like that, you never know what might happen.”

Rob Schneider, a long-time collaborator of Sandler’s, plays Henry’s best friend Ula, a role specifically written for him. Ula has tested his theory about sharks several times - that they’re like dogs and will bite only if you tease them. Unhappily for Ula, the theory doesn’t hold water.

Schneider jumped at the chance to play Ula because, “Adam is the absolute best to work with,” he relates. “He creates a real playground, but in a good and structured way. Because we’ve been working together for something like 16 years, we have a shorthand. I’ll think of something, then he’ll think of something else and we’ll bounce it back and forth.”

As for working with Peter Segal, Schneider says, “Pete’s a director who’s prepared and has a good eye for comedy and visuals. I’ve learned a lot working with him.”

Sean Astin has the role of Lucy’s steroid-popping, body builder brother Doug. It’s a performance he’s taken to a degree no one anticipated. Says Segal, “Sean is such a good sport. We’ve really given it to him in this movie. He’s playing a small man with an inferiority complex who compensates by lifting weights more than he should. And he’s always trying to pick fights with Henry, who occasionally has to put him in his place.”

“Doug is always working out and doing crunches,” says Barrymore. “He picks up anything that comes to hand whether it’s a barbell or a fish and starts doing reps with it. Sean has given him a crazy muscle-man fetish that’s a great source of comedy and says so much about the character. You get hints of a character in the writing, but the most exciting prospect is giving them the specific quirks and traits that define the individual. Sean has taken Doug above and beyond the written word. He’s awesome and incredibly funny, and at the same time, very touching.”

Astin remarks that finding the key to the character of Doug came through his discussions with Segal. “Pete explained very clearly how he wanted the character to be, very sweet and loving toward his sister. At the same time he’s kind of dopey. All that contributed to my preparation.”

Changing his body to meet the demands of a film role is not a new concept for Astin. “I put on 10 to 15 pounds for Rudy. I took that off when I got married. Then I had to put on 35 to 40 pounds for The Lord of the Rings and then just as I was done taking it off, I got this part and Adam and Peter asked if I could put on some weight. I said to my wife, ‘here we go again’ and headed back to the gym.”

Blake Clark plays Lucy’s father Marlin Whitmore, a fisherman who had to give up his charter fishing business to care for his daughter. In addition to making his fourth appearance in a Sandler movie, Clark had previously shot a television pilot with Segal.

Clark met Sandler when they both appeared in Shakes the Clown, a film about stand-up comedy in which Clark wore a dress, a far cry from his role as Lucy’s tough-with-a-heart-of-gold father.

“This role is a bit more dramatic than some of the things Blake has done in the past,” allows Segal, “but there’s almost always a comedic moment that he knocks out of the park.”

It is a testament to the connection to the character of Marlin that when Wing visited the set and ran into Clark, "I instantly recognized him as if he had sprung from my imagination. I had no idea who he was or what his name was, I just said, 'Oh my God, you're Marlin, aren't you?' It was like talking to one of my characters."

His fellow actors also saw him as the perfect embodiment of the character Wing had created. “Blake not only challenges the tone of this film but makes it come alive in the most profound ways,” says Barrymore. “He has so much heart and soul and beauty coming from his heart and his eyes and his physical demeanor. Marlin is a beautiful person who is protective and loyal and fatherly and gruff, yet he’s a softie underneath. He struggles with his daughter because it’s exhausting to repeat the same day over and over. But there’s also comedy and truth in that, a primal parental thing that he brings to it that’s very real. If someone you loved was hurting, and you had to struggle to make them happier, that is an incredible mission. Marlin really makes it come true.”

In discussing the dynamics of his family in the film Clark says, “Doug and I have given up our lives to take care of Lucy. But even with all the precautions we take - like having dozens of newspapers made up from the day of the accident and having all the regulars at the Hukilau Café in on the ruse - from time to time there’ll be an incident that makes Lucy aware that it’s not October of the previous year. So, when we hear that there is a stranger trying to court her at the Hukilau, it is not good news. It is a complication that we definitely don’t want.

“Aside from the heartache of watching his daughter go through life with such a disabling condition, the worst part for Doug and Marlin," Clark adds, "is that they are locked into having the same thing for dinner every night. Every night is my birthday dinner and we have to sit down to watch the same Minnesota Viking’s football game, eat the same spaghetti and meatballs with pineapple upside-down cake for dessert.”

Allen Covert, who has co-starred in every Adam Sandler film except Billy Madison, plays ‘Ten Second Tom’ in the movie. “I’m actually the example of how things could be worse,” he laughs. “When they take Lucy to the Institute and explain everything to her again, the doctor says at one point, ‘well it could be worse, and when she asks, ‘How?’ he introduces her to me. My memory only lasts for 10 seconds so in the middle of conversations I’m constantly re-introducing myself to people. “

Among the many people who conspire to keep Lucy from having a “bad day” are the owners of the Hukilau Café owners, Sue and Nick.

“The character of Sue really grounds the movie,” explains Segal. “She’s Lucy’s protector at the diner and always on the look-out that no one takes advantage of her. We needed someone who could capture that kind of tough, yet maternal quality on screen. Amy Hill is an incredibly sweet woman and such a consummate performer that there really was no other choice.”

“When we were in pre-production and discussing character, Adam described Sue as the heart of the film in terms of representing the story’s sweet nature,” recounts Hill. “When I first read the script, I just thought this is so nice and it really does depict the Hawaiian 'aloha' spirit. I wanted to be sure that Sue embodied a sort of Hawaiian earth-mother quality. At the same time, there is something very warm and goofy about the story, which essentially is what Adam and Drew are like in real life. That’s their natural gift to the world of filmmaking. At the same time, Adam is also very hands-on, very supportive and takes the work very seriously, though he never takes himself seriously.”

For Sandler and Segal, it was essential that the casting have an air of authenticity about it, according to Ewing. “We wanted to cast people who were native Hawaiian as often as we could. A perfect example is Pomai Brown, who plays Nick. He is so full of life. The moment he walks on the set, you feel you’re in Hawaii.”

“When we were casting the movie,” adds Segal, “we received a tape from Pomai, who auditioned for the role in his kitchen. It was love at first sight.”

“Initially,” says Brown, who is well known in Hawaii for his expert ukulele playing, “Henry and Nick become friends over Henry’s love of peanut butter cups and Nick’s love for Spam. There is truth in that because Spam is a very popular food in Hawaii. It’s kind of a cultural thing. Nick jokes around with Henry, and behind Sue’s back, he’s actually encouraging him in regards to Lucy.”

Brown is grateful for all the input he received from Segal and Sandler in fleshing out the role of Nick. “Pete was the first person who coached me and gave me suggestions. They said that with enough time, they could teach walruses to do tricks (Jocko is really one of a team of walruses used in the film). The entire time we were filming in Hawaii, they rehearsed the walruses. And they really were hilarious."

Hi, yes I'm a fan of lost. I started to watch this series about a year ago. At that time it was up to season 3, and then I got season 4 one by one, just like what I'm doing now for season 5

I just downloaded and watch the first 2 parts of season 5 and it was hilarious:31::31:, I like this Tv series. The idea is something unique. I really recommend it, I'm sure everyone will definitely like it.
The important thing is that your English will be improved:46:

I think I'm lucky these days because after watching "Amusement" I had opportunity to watch a better horror movie called "Mirrors". I guess some Hollywood fans are familiar with this name. It was really amazing movie so kept me awake until midnight (I should wake up at 5 A.M every morning so I can't stay awake but in some emergency situation!). a guy who has problem with his wife and he's worry about losing his family (his wife plus their 2 kids) is working as a guard in abandoned building witch was a hospital some years ago . At the beginning of the movie you can see what happen to pervious guard. He was killed by his own reflected image through a mirror! The image acts something different from the guy; he cuts his neck by a peace of mirror and this exactly happens to that very person! The most frightening scene happens to the main actor's sister. She was at bathroom in front of mirror but when she goes toward tube, her image keeps steady! When she lays down in the tube the image grasps her jaw and pulls it wide open and tears it apart! I never dare watching such a harsh scene in real films but in movies I know that is fake, so I enjoy watching it.


I have lots of opinion about movies but since this topic is more like a passive place for reading than an active topic to discuss , so it's enough!

After reading your post , I checked IMDb and I saw that they rated "American psycho" 7.4 out of 10 . in this site it's a good score foe a movie so I think this one has worth to watch. But anyway I think if you don't like a genre or even in middle of a movie you feel that you are wasting your time, it's better idea to stop watching it. It happened to me a lot. No matter what otters think about that movie , the most important item for me is my own taste .if you don't like horror and this kind of movies have bad effect on your feeling , so stop watching them. I myself, don't like action movies or science fictions like Spider man , Harry potter , Lord of the ring … although they are great movies but I rarely watch this genre.

Last night I bought 2 DVDs " 50 first dates" and "Starsky&Hutch" at first I decided to watch the first one, it was nice but at the middle of the movie I understood that I know the storyline! Some months ago I watched an Iranian movie (I don't remember its name) it was about a girl who has some problems about her memory and everyday she wakes up, she doesn't remember anything since the day she had an accident. I heard that this was a copy of a Hollywood film and last night I found out that "50 first dates" was that movie. Long story short, I changed the DVD and started watching my favorite comedian {Ben Stiller)'s movie. God! I'm mad about this guy, no one can make me laugh like him. Again I spend a great night by watching "Starsky&Hutch". it was wonderful . There are 2 cops, one sticks to law and follows the rules but the other is so easygoing. They should work together as partners. There are a lot of funny scenes, for instance: guys' talking with a lady stripping, their meeting with a guy in the prison and he forced them to do some ridiculous things in turn of giving information , their pantomime playing in the party … but the most hilarious moment was the end of the party, the cops arrests a guy because they suspected about him hiding cocaine in his garage , Starsky takes his gun and shoots some bullets to the door, after opening the door they saw nothing but a white horse witch the guy had bought for his daughter , gazing cops and guests with surprise , the horse falls down dead and I really exploded in that scene!


Personally I rate it 9 but fairly it deserves 7.3

well, all those scenes where mentioned in the book even in more details...
as I said, it was not as effective as the book but it was good enough...
I forgot sth to mention, I think a person who hasn't read the book may not comprehend the whole story around! I mean if I hadn't read the book, I may wouldn't like it that much

the story of the movie is that this guy benjamin button is different with other people his life goes backward :18: when he was born he was a very old man but little by little that his life goes by he gets younger younger the story was wonderful I suggest you to see this

it's the story of a man with a great sense of humor. He was apparantely happy all the time despite all the difficulties n hardships of life...he fell in love with a woman thru his great sense of humor n he rescued his son by his fabulous creativity

I like Fridays. These days I have extra free time for watching more movies. Last night I watched "Hit
And Run" and since it found it interesting, I'm going to talk write about it. A drunken girl lives a party and heads to her home. Although her boyfriend ask her to bring her home, she drives herself. On her way, she sees something lied in middle of road. Due to high speed, she hardly ducks it. After parking her vehicle in the garage, she heads to bed but wakes up soon after hearing some noise. When she checked up the garage , she finds a hardly injured body stuck on bumper! Frightened too much, she rushes to her room and decides to call 911 but she changes her mind. After going back to garage , the injured guy grapes her foot but she hits him with a golf stick. She is dead scared so gets the body in her car and moves it to middle of jungle and burns it! She discusses it with nobody but her own boyfriend. She reminds a stupid mistake "she burned it wrapped in her blanket!!" so they decides to go to the jungle, find the spot and remove the crime clue. She drives to the place and waits for her bf and when he doesn't come , she walks toward the grave and she finds her boyfriend's lifeless body wrapped in blanked and burned it the same spot!!


I liked this movie so I rate it 7.7

After a makeover and help from her friends, she gets to Illyria, but then finds that she likes her room mate, Duke. Things get messy when a girl who Duke likes falls for Sebastian, who is Viola in disguise. Everything falls apart when Sebastian goes home from London early, and things start to fall to pieces.
Yesterday, I watched this movie. That was wonderful and so hilarious. I strongly recommend you to watch it!

I've seen this movie and I liked it too. You know, it's based on a true story but the story is a bit different. In the movie , once you can see that Viola and her roommate were in their room when they noticed a spider on the floor. They both scared and went up the bed , Viola unconsciously screams and want Duke to catch it because he is a man! It was funny but I rate it 7

Oh my Godddddd :31:, I just finished watching this fabulous Indian movie. It deserves right what so ever prize they gave to this film. I still can't believe Indian can make such a good movie

I think you all know the story, It's about an uneducated boy who participate in a show named "who wants to be a millionaire?" in that show he's been asked some questions ( I don't remember how many :31:). And he knew the answer to all the questions because of what had happened to him in the past. And as for all indian movies there was a love story running in the back ground:27:, and again as all Indian movies it has a happy ending (which I liked) and also an indian dance at the end of it.

So I do recommend to watch this great movie, I'm sure that it'll win some Oscar awards as well.

that was a remarkable movie
a movie which had lots to say; but besides, it was sorta dark which I dun think everyboy will like it
a young couple who are mostly arguing and struggling to come to an agrrement about the personal problems they have...
the arguments were sorta palpable; it was really nice

These days, thanks to being free, I could watch some movies. And now I wanna talk about the most interesting one "Stuck". It was one of few movies which I really realized as a true story and I think the reason is "it is based on a real story!".



In the beginning of the movie, you see a young woman working hard in the old people house, she loves her work and it doesn't bother her when a very old patient shit himself in the bed! Due to hardworking, she gains an opportunity for improving in her job. In other aspect, there is an unemployed guy, looking for a job after getting kicked out from his apartment by the landlord! These two characters, meet each other during a horrible accident! Brandi (the girl) hits Thomas by her car while she was heading back to her home totally drunk. The poor guy is thrown into inside of the car through the windshield with both legs broken and sticks in it!! Brandi is so scared and she doesn't stop and brings him to her garage. Thomas is badly hurt and he begs for help but the girl is in doubt to help him. He is extremely unlucky! He sticks in the car while Brandi spends whole night with her boyfriend! A kid sees him in the garage but his parents don't call the police, a taxi driver hears him hitting car alarm but Brandi says that it's her wheels problem … and worse than all, she decides to kill him to clear any crime clue!!



I really enjoyed watching this great movie so I rate it 8.5 out of 10

There, she met a singer (Paola) who had a partner (Isabel) who Lizzie was look like and the only deference between them was their hair's color. Paola wanted Lizzie to pretend to be Isabel who was in an island for resting, he convinced lizzie that Isabel couldn’t sing and asked lizzie to take her role in a concert since lizzie had fallen in love with him accepted, but at last moment goral (lassie's boyfriend) found Isabel and with a plan, they revealed the fact that Paola was not able to sing.

Charlie, a business student in university, gets to know a weird girl (Jordan) whose fiancée had leaved her, hence, she most of the time was drunk and had lots of pains and grieves behind her jollity; she used to write stories in which women from future excelled men. Though, being together left Charlie mere pains and troubles, he was in love with her. Anyway, once Jordan asked Charlie to write a letter for each other then they buried them under a tree in a park. They planed to be there in a year to read the letters then left each other. During that year Charlie did his best to learn whatever she liked such as swimming, tennis……….when The very moment arrived, Jordan didn’t show up so Charlie read her letter and…………..in fact her fiancée had died, and Charlie reminded her of him because he was as kind as he was, as strong as he was, and somehow was looked like him,……… the day after she went there and read his letter, the letter full of adoration, emotions and so on……………….
To know the rest, watch the movie, it is worth watching

Secret window
Mort Rainy is an author, who has divorced his wife 6 months before. Her wife has gotten married. Once, a stranger (shooter) came to his far house and claimed that Mort had stolen his novel and asked him to change the end of the story and menaced him to kill his ex-wife if he doesn’t. Mort didn’t care so shooter killed his dog then ignited his ex-house, as Mort got scared, consulted with a detective but shooter killed him too.
But shooter was fiction, Mort had created him, in fact shooter was Mort, he had gotten insane. Once his ex-wife came to him but Mort killed him and her husband. Police never found the corpses and Mort kept writing freely………
Johnny Depp has the engaging roll in it

when i was watching it ... i wanted to kill the old man ... he was killing people but he was saying them " i'm giving you a chance to live again! "
he was crazy i think ... i can't imagine that i have to take a key which is in my eye !

I think watching horror movies brings some unique ecxitement that you can't fell in other movies! last night i was watching a nice horror " the eye" the movie was really frightening and i was listening to it by headphone and i turned up the speakers !! at some scenes i really jumped up from my seat!! by i really enjoy it

the story is about a patient who suffers from cancer . his name is Jhon but police knows him as Jigsaw. he is an engineer and he wants punish the people who don't know the value of life. he catches some people and forced them to scarify sth for survive. People like snitches, betrayers , the ones who torture themselves , criminals … he has a lot of information about his victims and their private life. At the fourth part you'll find out how he gains these information. The punishments are too severe: cutting foot by a saw, bringing out one's eye, entering into a hole filled by syringes … and the message of movie as I think , is knowing the value of life

I finally watched 'the Prestige'
those who've been with us since the very begining know that it was about a yr that I was looking for this movie

it was a facinating film, a very novel story
story of two rival magicians who were trying to find out the secret of their tricks
really interesting
although the story was sorta fiction but it could drew my attention

An old baby is born and starts to speak, walk, reading when he seems 80 years old then falls in love and gets married in middle age and becomes dad, as her daughter grows up and his wife becomes older, he becomes younger, just imagine he seems younger than his daughter so he left them, he died when he was an infant in his old wife's hug.

I've seen this movie and i think it's cool. I like it because 2 professional wrestlers played at this " The Rock" and "Great Khali". but I rate it 6.5
in the final scene the guy's pants were tore during chasing the Rock and he wasn't awar of it , he entered to concert , found the bomb and bowed to audiences! it was so funny

This move was some how complexing in the meaning, a man named troop had a mission to take a girl to the USA but she was not an ordinary one, an engineer had made her, and when she was 2 years old, a woman who had ordered the engineer to make her, stole her for convert so she grown up there, and that engineer who was her dad was chasing them….

Thanks to vacations, I had a golden opportunity to watch movies, so I saw some films like : There's no country for old men, The Ruins, Euro trip, Jackal , Schindler list , Return , College , Taken , Storm Warning and etc. The movie that I'm going to talk about is "The Ruins". A great dramatic horror witch really affected on me. Some young tourists are walking through a huge jungle and they find a mysterious temple like a pyramid with lots of steps covered by some weird plants. At the beginning of the movie you can see some couples in the pool and their romantic relationship. At first I thought it would not be a nice movie but in the middle of the story I really changed my mind. As soon as they reached the temple, some residents enclosed them and forced them to climb up to the top of the temple and to prove that they are serious, the leader shot to one of tourists in the head! Poor young guys are too frightened and there is no way out and like most of horror movies, cell phones never work in horrible situation! At the top of the place , there is a hole and in the edge they find some corpses wrapped within the plants and this is the main problems because the plants eat fresh and blood! They move toward blood and even they have ability to grow up within a creature's body!



Although it's a great movie that I can rate it more than 7, but I don't recommend it to
you! Because I think it will make you depress just like me!

This movie is about a business man who used to work in advertisement part; his work was his life but his boss dismissed him, by chance he got to know a woman, she convinced him to live with her for one month (November) at first he rejected but the woman insisted, she tried to separate him from his job and helped him to be relax. That day was stormy and jenny couldn’t find her way to resort but her boy friend rescued her and she found her true love

Hey guys, happy new year. Is there anyone who's seen the movie " About a Boy"? it's a good movie but not great. There is a bachelor (Will) who has no responsibility in his life. He has no job, not any intention to run a family. His father was a singer and due to one song witch he had composed years ago , he gains lots of money and he doesn't have to work. His relationship with opposite --- isn't serious and he changes his partner after a short while. Suddenly he meets a single mother and he likes her more than other women but this time the woman cuts their relationship! Will decides to find his girlfriend among single mothers so he goes to a community for single parents and he pretends that he is a single father who has a two years old son (Ned)! at the other side , there is another boy (Marcus) , who is a school kid and his mother is single woman who suffers from some mental problem. This time Will has found a new friend who is Marcus' mother friend so these two boys get familiar with each other. Marcus finds out that Will isn't a father but he wants do something to connect his mother with Will…



When I watched the movie with my friend, he couldn't get it why I like it! But I really like "About a boy" maybe because of Will's style of living!!

I've seen this movie and I think it's cool. Jenny's reactions in the concert were so funny. Beside I think Amanda Bynes is a cool female comedian. I like "she is a man" in witch Amanda played as a girl who wants be a soccer player.

Last weekend our teacher in the institute recommended us to watch Sense and
Sensibility so I found it and watched it. We (I and the teacher) had an argument about the movie during last session of the class. I think the movie was good but not interesting for men. You know, the storywriter and the director are both females, and the movie dedicated to young women's romantic problems. All men in the movie acts very politely toward women even the antihero. There is a family (Dashwoods) at the beginning of the movie you can see that the father of the family is dying , he gives all his fortune to his son but he orders him to support his family including his mother and his three sisters, but the guy doesn't obey him so the girls and the mother face financial problems, the main skeleton of the story is about how the girls deal with love, the elder sister (Elinor) tries to hide her emotion but the younger one (Marianne) can not do it and when she thinks that a guy (Willoughby) loves her, she easily acts emotionally and at the end of the movie you can find out that both of them are wrong although Elinor's way is more sensible and almost she loses her love at the end of the movie because he (Edward) doesn't know about Elinor's feelings .




Although IMDB rated this movie 7.7 my own rating is a bit lower than 7

There is a family (Dashwoods) at the beginning of the movie you can see that the father of the family is dying , he gives all his fortune to his son but he orders him to support his family including his mother and his three sisters, but the guy doesn't obey him so the girls and the mother face financial problems, the main skeleton of the story is about how the girls deal with love, the elder sister (Elinor) tries to hide her emotion but the younger one (Marianne) can not do it and when she thinks that a guy (Willoughby) loves her, she easily acts emotionally and at the end of the movie you can find out that both of them are wrong although Elinor's way is more sensible and almost she loses her love at the end of the movie because he (Edward) doesn't know about Elinor's feelings .




Although IMDB rated this movie 7.7 my own rating is a bit lower than 7

a movie which I did enjoy
I like all Jane Auston stories n all the movies associated with her novels...I liked the whole thins about this movie
