    Hey! Cool to know you like some of their songs. Have you heard Helter Skelter? (by the Beatles of course). Supposedly it's the song that drove Charles Manson to the edge of madness (although I believe it was just an excuse for him to go nuts with his evil intentions) the whole White Album actually. But it's their hardest hitting song and from my impression you seem to like the louder types of Rock so I highly recommend you to check it out.

    What a coincident! I wanted to get some music recommendation from you , you know they released more than 20 albums and had numerous gigs, so it's hard to dig into their stuff l
    Thanks, I will download the album ASAP. l

    One thing that prevented me from listening to them is that they are so popular, I usually ignore popular bands and try to discover underrated bands, I don't want to stand in between I move a little to the right or left. But anyway in this case, I want to discover them in addition to some other old bands such as Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and Oasis. l
    ====
    BTW, do you know The Church? A famous Australian band
    Check out this song Under the milky way if you please

    I guess I have a music syndrome

    We're driving slow through the snow on 5th Avenue
    And right now radio's all that we can hear
    Now we ain't talk since we left, it's so over due
    It's cold outside but between us it's worse in here

    The world slows down
    But my heart beats fast right now
    I know this is the part
    Where the end starts

    I can't take it any longer
    Thought that we were stronger
    All we do is linger
    Slipping through my fingers
    I don't wanna try now
    All that's left's goodbye to
    Find a way that I can tell you
    I hate this part right here
    I hate this part right here
    I just can't take your tears
    I hate this part right here

    Everyday, 7 takes of the same old scene
    Seems we're bound by the laws of the same routine
    Gotta talk to you now 'fore we go to sleep
    But will we sleep once I tell you what's hurting me

    The world slows down
    But my heart beats fast right now
    I know this is the part
    Where the end starts

    I can't take it any longer
    Thought that we were stronger
    All we do is linger
    Slipping through our fingers
    I don't wanna try now
    All that's left's goodbye to
    Find a way that I can tell you
    I hate this part right here
    I hate this part right here
    I just can't take your tears
    I hate this part right here

    I know you'll ask me to hold on
    And carry on like nothing's wrong
    But there is no more time for lies
    'Cause I see sunset in your eyes

    I can't take it any longer
    Thought that we were stronger
    All we do is linger
    Slipping through our fingers
    I don't wanna try now
    All that's left's goodbye to
    Find a way that I can tell you

    That I gotta do it,
    I gotta do it,
    I gotta do it
    I hate this part
    I gotta do it,
    I gotta do it,
    I gotta do it

    I hate this part right here
    I hate this part right here
    I just can't take these tears
    I hate this part right here !!!!

    Mother Earth Lyrics
    Birds and butterflies
    Rivers and mountains she creates
    But you'll never know
    The next move she'll make You can try
    But it is useless to ask why Cannot control her
    She goes her own way
    She rules until the end of time
    She gives and she takes
    She rules until the end of time
    She goes her way With every breath
    And all the choices that we make
    We are only passing through on her way
    I find my strength
    Believing that their soul lives on
    Until the end of time I'll carry them with me
    she rules until the end of time
    she gives and she takes
    she rules until the end of time
    she goes her way Once you will know my dear
    You dont have to fear A new beginning
    Always starts at the end
    Once you will know my dear
    You dont have to fear ...
    Until the end of time x3
    She goes her way
    she rules until the end of time
    she gives and she takes
    she rules until the end of time
    until the end of time until the end of time
    she goes her way.

    Today I downloaded some albums, two from the 69 eyes (one from 1992 and one from 2009) but they didn't match their great previous works.

    Furthermore, I downloaded the white album from the Beatles and the song of Helter Skelter from the album is arse kicking, amazing and unbelievably fast (I have heard it once from TV but didn't know it is from Beatles) So it proves the claims that Beatles couldn't bring a new level to their music are utterly absurd. They could be the first metal band if they liked

    An irrelevant comment: I love Van Halen

    Kinda old but I like it:

    You raise me up

    When I am down and, oh my soul so weary;
    When troubles come and my heart burdened be,
    Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
    Until you come and sit awhile with me.
    You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
    You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
    I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
    You raise me up... To more than I can be.

    You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
    You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
    I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
    You raise me up... To more than I can be.

    You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
    You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
    I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;

    Good to know you liked it the album has a bunch of throw away songs on it but it also has some great tunes. What were your other favorites from the album?

    I guess I have a music syndrome
    Well they have 13 Studio albums and 2 compilation containing their single releases that weren't on the albums.
    I love discovering obscure bands to listen to but I also believe there's a reason why some bands are more famous than the others. I'm not talking about the modern music though. I'm talking about a time when Rock music was considered mainstream and pop eg. 60s and 70s.

    mmm as for the older bands I recommend you to check out The Who I got a feeling you're gonna like them! They're considered to be a proto-punk band, they're not punk but they're one of the biggest influences on the genre with their "sod off!" attitude and on-stage mannerism such as smashing their instruments at the end of the concert etc.
    I strongly recommend "Quadrophenia" their album from 1973. If you did like this one you can start listening to their other works.

    Also I listened to under the the milky way and I absolutely love it! thank you for your recommendation. Two thumbs up!

    Well the album is growing on me , I have not listened to the songs thoroughly but I like these more
    (from side A), their music is flawless
    Martha My Dear
    While My Guitar Gently Weeps
    Back In The USSR
    Blackbird

    You are maybe right I don't know much about 60s or 70. But nowadays,
    One reason for standing out could be because of the quality, but there are other important
    factors such as media that brainwash youth to believe that the talentless rappers such as
    50 cent (ugh) or pop idols such B. Spears must be in the center of attention (imo).
    In my opinion, time is a good measure to decide about the quality of bands, for example you
    don't hear anymore about hair metal which was very famous during 80s except for few bands and
    it proves that so many songs of that genre were trendy, but you still see the music of "the doors"
    alive and it shows that the band deserved its credit. Anyway, music is something subjective and
    we can't write off some bands or regard some highly with some degree of certainty.l

    I don't know much about them but I love the song of "Behind the blue eyes", sung by them
    What do u think of "the doors" and "Jim Morrison"? and The Doors Vs The Who? l

    Hmm...I was wondering why there is a grammatical mistake in the name of "50 Cent", it must be "50 Cents", does anyone know why? l

    What are your favorite lyrical themes? Do you like it perplexing or simple? Do you like story-telling lyrics like the ones you can find in the songs of Dire Strait? What are the most clichéd words you can find in the songs? your fave songwriter? l

    I need to slow down l
