Player Ratings: Valencia 3 - 2 Barcelona

Valencia clinched a place in the Copa del Rey final after an enthralling second leg of their semi final against Barcelona in Mestalla on Thursday. Goal.com watched, mulled over and then handed out marks out of ten to the 26 participants.

VALENCIA

Hildebrand 6.5 - After his heroics in the first leg, the German custodian did not have half as much to do as his defence kept him safe.

Miguel 7 - A strong performance by the Portuguese defence that ensured that Iniesta was unable to cause many problems down the flank in the first half.

Marchena 8 - Put in a physical and commanding display at the heart of a strong home team back line. A leader's performance.

Albiol 7.5 - Gritty, strong and positionally excellent. Did have one lapse when Henry scored the opener, but it was a rare mistake.

Moretti 7 - Kept Bojan quiet, although the young Barça star was not on his best. Was evidently told not to go forward

Maduro 7.5 - Broke up the Barça midfield superbly and did not allow them to settle. Also had a key role in everything his side did going forward.

Baraja 8 - A stunning opening goal was the highlight of a powerful midfield display from the Spanish international.

Silva 7.5 - His quick thinking after Valencia had conceded created what proved to be the winning goal.

Joaquín 7 - Pace and power down the flank, but arguably not his best performance as he failed to create any clear chances for his colleagues.

Mata 9 - Two goals and another outstanding showing ensured that he will earn all the headlines in Friday's papers. Madrid must be wondering why they let him go.

Villa 8.5 - Never stopped running and when Valencia needed to clear their lines in the closing minutes his pace and fitness was crucial.

Subs

Caneira 7 - Did not really have enough time to make an impact, but certainly made no mistakes.

Banega 7 - Tried to become involved in creating something for Valencia, but did little to make an impact.

Arizmendi 7.5 - His height and strength in midfield caused Barça problems in the air.

BARCELONA

Valdés 6 - Was arguably unable to do anything to stop any of the goals. Apart from those three efforts was not called on to make a real save.

Zambrotta 5.5 - Mata opened the scoring and the Italian was nowhere to be seen. Did attempt to push forward and did well down the flank.

Puyol 6 - He was the most impressive of Barça's back line with some crucial tackles and held up Villa at decisive moments.

Milito 5.5 - Should have done an awful lot better with a clear header on goal that he aimed straight at Hildebrand.

Abidal 6 - Proved to be a creative force going forward, but his crossing was poor. Joaquín did not have much change out of the Frenchman.

Touré 5.5 - Looked good early on but then faded somewhat. The back injury will not have helped as the game was physical and demanding.

Xavi 4.5 - Given what the playmaker can do, he had a very quiet game just when Barça needed his vision and could have done so much more.

Iniesta 5 - Lively, but ineffective against a busy Valencia defence and he too wll have been disappointing with his creativity.

Gudjohnsen 5 - Had a great chance to level just after the break, but never looked comfortable in such a crowded midfield.

Bojan 4.5 - Had one shot that could have gone in a game that saw him run and run but continuously try something that was never going to come off.

Eto'o 6 - Scored a fine goal and worked tirelessly to help Barça to try and go through. His annoyance at the final whistle showed his passion.

Subs

Sylvhino 5.5 - Sent over the only accurate cross of the second half for Barça to create Henry's goal, but was then at fault seconds later when Valencia scored their third.
Edmílson 5.5 - Did not have an awful lot of time to do much, but at least he did not put a foot wrong after some shaky displays this season.

Henry 6- Scored a good header and always looked to test the Valencia defence, but was not always direct enough when it mattered.

من که میگم لیگ قهرمانان هم از دست میدیم.

واقعا دیگه کم کم دارم نا امید نا امید میشم.

5 شنبه بازی برگشتش بود که باختیم و از جام حذفی, حذف شدیم.

لالیگا رو هم که احتمالا از دست دادیم.

فقط لیگ قهرمانان مونده که امیدوارم حذف نشیم.
