There are a handful of boxing games for the iPhone but none of them are a polished and immediately playable as Glu Mobile's Super KO Boxing 2. This is a game that truly puts its best glove forward, wowing you right away with some of the best cartoon-style graphics you'll see on the iPhone and controls that anybody that's even heard of Punch-Out!! can use.

Super KO Boxing 2 is a spectacular game for far too short of a time. Once you see all of the boxers and realize you never get to play as any of them -- you never get to use 15 Cent’s backhanded slap or the caveman's devastating VW Bug-sized fists -- the replay value sinks to the mat like a rubber-kneed lightweight. But up to that point, it is impossible not be wowed by the excellent controls and amazing art. I’d love to see an update that adds another playable character or two, giving me another reason to step back into the ring because with the exception of a tone-deaf stereotype, it’s a fun place to be.
