Thank you for your difficult questions Asalbanoo! For all of these things, I think it is impossible to accurately describe them. The beauty of each one is something which needs to be experienced first-hand. So the attempted answers below are all incomplete:

Hey Amir. I'm well thank you, just been a bit busy over the pass few days. How are things with you?


1- What do you do now? You occupation? Teaching English in England? Something is screwy here
What do you do? (there are many ways to ask this question..) Your occupation?
At the moment I'm just waiting to set out on my travels. Hopefully it will be soon!


2- What are your hobbies?
In no particular order: Football, tennis, reading, seeing friends, snooker, eating, travelling. Normal kinda stuff..


3- Would you tell us a line of Hafez poems in English?
Okay, see if you can work out the Persian from my literal translation:


Place on my hand that cup that hunts joy
And place on my hand that goblet which is like a beautiful picture
(I'm not sure about this second line..)


4- How often do you watch movies? Which genres? What was the last one?
I love movies! It depends how busy I am but on average once a week probably. I watch most genres but I'm not too fond of the standard Hollywood rubbish. The last film I saw was a Japanese film called 'Letters from Iowa Jima'.


5- Who is your example in life? (is 'example' the correct word?)
Who is your role model in life?


There are many people who I look up to but the role model par excellence has to be Muhammad ibn AbdAllah.


6- Suppose that you have a cute 5-6 year old daughter. You have gone with her to zoo. Suddenly a lion comes out of its cage and attacks your daughter. What would you do then?
Correct but just without 'then' at the end.


What a question! Well I don't have any children as you know but if I'm blessed with some, I'm sure I would gladly sacrifice myself for them.

Interesting! I'm glad I answered the last question before reading this one! I'd like to think that my reaction would be the same but sadly I don't think this is the case. Millions of children around the world go to bed every night starving but I haven't committed my life to helping them. Food for thought!

In general, I am not interested in debates about the greatness of this or that religion. Certainly I love Islam the most but I don't spend time trying to convince the world of this. Most people judge a religion by its fruit, not necessarily by its doctrines.

You are really making me think with these questions! Hmmm I think I have an answer but I'd rather not write it here..

I think it is very hard to predict things like this in today's world. The world is changing so rapidly that many of the things we take for granted today can no longer be assured. Despite this, I like to remain hopeful and God knows best!

Lol, I don't have a requirement sheet! I prefer to meet her requirements of me rather than the other way round..

Very interesting question. It is something I have been thinking about for a long time and I still don't have a satisfactory answer. Incidentally in the West, perhaps more so than the East, it is a concern for both men and women. We should remember the advice of the Prophet to men: "A woman is married for four things: her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. So you should marry the religious woman you will be losers.' Also we should remind ourselves of the transient nature of physical beauty. The most beautiful (physically) person in the world is not immune to the corrosion of time.

When I am asked this question by a student I always say 'only English' so that they try to express themselves in English. I will give the same answer here! British people in general aren't very good with foreign languages. It is easy for us because the whole world is trying to learn our language! But with the rise of China, this may one day change! French and Spanish are the main two languages taught in schools here today.

Frankly, I'm not very interested in political affairs. Though I do think that the Iranian President is a very unique character in world politics today! What do you/Iranians think of him?

What do British people think about Iran? Do they think that all Iranians are terrorists?

Iran and the nuclear issue is of course in the news almost every day. I think there is a variety of opinions on Iran. Some people hate Iran and some love Iran but most people here don't really know too much about Iran.

Do you mean: Why are foreign people more happy than us?

Well, I'm not sure that all non-Iranians are happier than Iranians! I can't really answer this question till I come to Iran!
