اینم میگن:
If you invest in aim and dodge, those skills didn't help in working, which mean unless you duel, else your exp and $ through working will mostly lower than others. And depend on your duel tactic, the aim and dodge rate will be half or doubled.
Tactic do not help much in dodge, it only deduct opponent's appearance while you are defending which help to raise your hit rate. (Actually it will help you to receive less hit by reducing the amount of attack) do not doubt it.
There are some soldiers with 200+ tactic, that's for full focus to get the job "transport prisoner". But even with 200 in tactic(or = 300 with class bonus), this soldier still can been easily hit because it do have no time to raise dodging skill.
Appearance help in dodging when you are attacking, and it also help in some higher level job around lv24+ (if u full focus in appearance n charisma). but the on the other side, you didn't get the dodge bonus when u been dueled by others. that's some experience for offensive adventurers.
For the skills n attributes:
If you want a tough dueler, choose melee, although it will be harder in the start because most low lv equipments provide good points in toughness, but that will change when you come to high level. and when level up, put attribute points in strength, that give 1 skill point to each vigor(melee attack), toughness(melee def), and health(HP), and if you are soldier, you get additional 5HP for each point in health. Then 3 skill points, put 1 in aim and vigor. and for the last 1, make your choice, put it either in dodge or reflex. if you put in dodge, you lose 1 skill point while working, and its hurt when you hit by fire arms; if u put in reflex, you don't have dodge unless get bonus from equipments. But reflex help in work, and each level you have raise 1 toughness and 1 reflex make your resistance to both kind of weapons tougher along your level. But this build lack of tactic or experience, which mean your opponent who focus in appearance get dodge bonus while attacking, but they have no tactic bonus when you attack them because you don't rely on appearance.
If u choose soldier, its such a waste of the class bonus if you don't add some skill points in tactic, and that will reduce attacker's dodge rate rely on their appearance, which also mean high hit rate for you. And also the HP bonus in health. for using the class bonus in tactic, you probably limited at least 1 points for each level in tactic, which make you less offensive if you attack, so you better take defend stance. then depend on the weapon you choose, you switch your play style.
If you choose to be a melee soldier, put attribute in strength, then 1 skill to aim, there left only 1 skill point since you add 1 tactic, put it to reflex or dodge on your own style. And this also mean you are 1 point less in vigor for each level compare to offensive duelers. But you will be pretty good and endurable while defending. Soldiers that base on this build, although weaker to fire arm, but still have very good dodge and tactic which let survive under heavy fire. And if they are melee dueler, sry, you will need to double the duel count or more. The HP will be over 1k at lv30+, And even 5 duel do not take 20% of my HP.
Or you give up the bonus in tactic and make offensive soldier, then you can add the additional 1 skill point to the skill you desire (Appearance or Vigor).
If you choose to be fire arms soldier, you need skill point in shooting, and for class bonus you need tactic and health, basic aim and dodge(/reflex?). There are still some different skill builds:
First) +1 strength(vigor+1, toughness+1, health+1), +1 aim, +1 reflex, +1 shooting. You don't rely on tactic, your hit rate against appearance dueler lowered, but you have high endurance and HP. And your attribute in strength help in various of jobs while you are not dueling. Although this build have less attack damage, but it's a dual weapon build. Judging on your opponent's equipments, you can choose either melee weapon or fire arms.(switch shooting to vigor and that will turn into full melee build as stated above)
Second) +1 dexterity(aim+1, shooting+1) +1 health, +1 tactic, +1 dodge. Since you don't have toughness, it will be better to focus your defense with dodge. Tactic help your hit rate in defend, and health for higher HP, but you can switch some or all of them to other skill in exchange of better dodge/aim/damage while attacking.
Duelers don't have class bonus in tactic and health, which mean its not necessary to put much skill points in tactic and hp, so they put more attention in attacking, but most of them are weaker or totally vulnerable in defend.
I want all Soldiers and Duelers to read it CAREFULLY, and reply as witness. I know it's too long but it's so important to read it. If you want to duel and used your skill point in wrong attributes and skills you can always start one of these build and after some level you will see good changes when you duel or get attack from others.
