    Hey Hey Hey GUYS AND GALS!!!

    Yup this is H from London, UK. I have been kindly invited by Amir to sit in the hot seat! I hope it doesn't get too hot for me! As some of you know, I'm hoping to come to Iran soon in order to further my study of Persian and to teach English. I'm waiting (and praying) for my visa to come through at the moment. I hope to hear from them by the end of next week. SO by the time I depart this lovely hot seat, I will Inshallah have my visa!!

    PETROS: Thanks for your many many many questions! Your questions seem to start with the most important things (God, character traits) and then get less and less important (Armpits, frogs, chickens etc). Though I may be mistaken..Well I will attempt to mirror your approach by making my answers more linguistically challenging at the start, and then getting progressively easier. So if the first few don't make sense, just scroll down!

    SO.. traits for a man and woman to be complete: Well this can be answered in a number of ways and it really depends on your definition of 'completeness'. For me, the 'complete man' is the 'perfect man' and the 'perfect man' I associate with what the Islamic mystics have called 'al-insan al-kamil'. Now since we are not infallible, the state of being 'perfect' is in fact a continuous process of striving towards perfection. From this point of view then, and perhaps paradoxically, the perfect person is the person who is always striving towards perfection. On a more practical level, perfection consists essentially of the Prophetic virtues. Incidentally, this definition includes both the genders and as such when a person reaches the degree of 'Rujuliyya' or 'Manliness', this should be understood as a gender neutral term

    Wow! That was a long answer! Okay I will try to be more concise!

    Relationship with God: This is a difficult question to answer. al-hamdlillah I am a Muslim and I strive to 'submit' my will to the will of God. At the end of the day, it is God who will judge how our relationship is with Him.

    Sign from God question: Yes I remember one experience in particular when I was quite young. I won't mention the experience itself but I was very grateful after I received the sign.

    Medicine/Remedy question: Well I'm not really a doctor, my elder sister is a doctor so I leave the medical stuff to her! I wouldn't want to interfere in case I make the disease worse! Old remedy: My father says that boiled ginger with honey is good for colds

    Football was being played

    Pastimes: I LOVE reading. It depends on how much time I have but I could read from morning to night if I have nothing else to do.

    Men/Women advantages: Women like talking, men like listening. So everybody is happy!

    Slang: NICE question! Okay now this is extreme slang and if the person you are talking to is not from London they probably won't understand you even if they are native speakers of English!!:

    Dat was bare jokes man = It was very funny
    Aaaaaight = Are you well? (This is hard to pronounce correctly!)D
    I absolutely legged it = I ran away very fast
    Mug = Face

    N.B: Use with caution!!!

    Frog/Camel armpits: Do camels have arms ???

    Chicken's eyelids :I have no idea! Is this a joke?

    Persian questions: Okay my Persian isn't that good at the moment. This is why I am coming to Iran!! 'Dam' has many meanings but I think 'dam kardan' can mean 'to breathe' . So 'dam kuni' is 'you breathe'. I'm wrong, aren't I???

    ghir= to take
    dadan = to give
    be = to
    kesi = person

    altogether = I don't know!

    Dear Huzayfa
    Thanks for showing such enthusiasm in answering the Q's

    I would be grateful if you answer the questions in this format:

    1-How old are you?
    I'm 25

    2- How's your relationship with your God
    None of your business

    So that we can discriminate between Q's and A's (the color is absolutely arbitrary) And also you don't have too use such a big font size

    Thank you very much
