Not to worry: With Flash 8s improved scripting language (which includes a visual interface!) and this project-based guide you dont have to be a master programmer to do so. In these pages best-selling authors Derek Franklin and Jobe Makar with Danny Patterson, Member of Team Macromedia Flash, use hands-on lessons and simple, step-by-step instructions to translate real-life activities into scripts, in the process demonstrating that scripting is something you already instinctively know how to do.

To really harness the power of Flash though, you need to make use of ActionScript to provide dynamic effects, enable user interaction, and manipulate data.

ActionScript 3.0, the latest version of the Flash Platform's scripting language, offers a lot of new and powerful features. ActionScript is now a full-fledged programming language, with complete object-oriented capabilities, improved event handling, sound and video support, drawing capabilities, support for regular expressions, and much more.

Whether you are a Flash designer wishing to add to your skill set or an experienced ActionScript developer who wants to get up to speed with the latest version, you'll find all you need to know in Foundation ActionScript 3.0 with Flash CS3 and Flex.

    Flash CS3 For Dummies

f you are brand new to Flash CS3 and need the most basic help, this is probably a good first book to get. It has plenty of application screen shots, tips, and step-by-step instructions on the basic tasks involved in working with Flash CS3. It is very detailed, but only covers getting started with Flash CS3. To cover more complex tasks you should probably have “Flash CS3: The Missing Manual” for reference and instruction. For more advanced instruction look at “Flash CS3 Professional Advanced for Windows and Macintosh: Visual QuickPro Guide”. ActionScript isn’t even mentioned in this book, since it is aimed more at designers and therefore is centered more on the topic of design. It does spend a good deal of time explaining the details of InDesign to QuarkXPress and PageMaker users. The following is the detailed table of contents:

    Introduction.
    Part I: Before You Begin.
    Chapter 1: Understanding InDesign Ingredients.
Chapter 2: Making It Work Your Way.

    Part II: Document Essentials.

Chapter 4: Discovering How Pages Work.
    Chapter 5: Layers and Layers.
Chapter 6: The Joys of Reuse.

پيش فرض Animation and Effects with Macromedia Flash MX 2004

Animation and Effects with Macromedia Flash MX 2004
What started as a simple animation tool has evolved into a full-fledged Web development environment. Which means that if you're like many of today's Flash developers, you may know little about actually creating animations and effects with the program. Here to solve that dilemma is a hands-on guide from one of today's leading Flash experts. By showing you how to create 10 projects based on real-world Web solutions, author Jen deHaan provides a thorough grounding in all of Flash's effects and animation fundamentals. Each chapter represents a single project with simple step-by-step instructions for re-creating the cool Web elements pictured in these pages: an animated character, a Flash interface that uses transitions to "page" through different areas of a site, an animated gallery, a dynamic menu that animates using the Tween classes, a simple game, button effects, Timeline animations, scripted effects, text effects, and more! Ten real-world projects reveal the magic behind the most useful Flash-produced animations and effects, and a ompanion CD includes lesson files and sample software.
