از نظر معنا،hope به معنای امیدوار بودن است،ولی wish به معنای آرزو داشتن.

Hope ( Followed by an Infinitive or a Noun Clause )

The verb Hope expresses a desire for something to happen usually not in an immediate future . It is followed by either an infinitive or an object noun clause . There is no difference in meaning.

I hope to pass
I hope (that) I'll pass

این از Hope ... حالا صبر کن Wish رو هم پیدا کنم ...

The word Wish, when followed by a Full Infinitive means the same as Want in a formal sense .

Wish + Noun Clause

Wish ( without to ) when followed by a noun clause is used to express a desire for something that has not yet happened and possibly will never happen


I wish ( that ) I were an astronaut ----> means that I'm not an astronaut now . It is possible , But I may never be an astronaut. )

I wish ( that ) I had a million dollars----> means that I don't have a million dollars now. It is possible, But I may never have a million dollars


I wish ( that ) I were a bird ----> means that I'm not a bird, and I will never be a bird

Notes :
A. The verb in the noun clause is in the past tense without having the meaning of a past action. It's an Unreal present

B. Since the situation expressed in the noun clause is unreal, we use were for all subjects. ( In colloquial speech sometimes was is used with I, he, She and it. )

C. That is usually omitted after wish

We use I wish ... would ... when we want something to happen or when we want somebody to do something. It showes that the speaker is not happy with the present situation.

It is raining. Jill wants to go out, But not in the rain. She Says :
I wish it would stop raining. ----> means that Jill is complaining about the rain and wants it to stop.

We also use this structure when an action is customary and we're not satisfied with it.

They argue all the time. I wish they wouldn't . (or didn't)

He always ask silly questions. I wish he wouldn't . (or didn't)

Wish is most commonly used in imagined situation but not necessarily all the time...
sometimes u can use wish to talk about the things u desire to do at the moment:
I wish to see a doctor---> at the moment u like to see a doctor--> it is kinda request

ya, that is correct
but 'wish' is more used as a request for the present time...n hope can also refer to anytime not specially at the moment
I hope to see a doctor--->time doesn't matter(anytime)
I wish to see a doctor---> at the moment

but stick it in yr mind that both can also be used instead of each other in spoken language and wot I've written is what Standard English says, I think even the native speakers dun know the difference between the usage of these two words n such examples so take it easy
