- Highlight the drive you wish to erase.
Critical: Make sure you are selecting the correct drive. This process is Data Destructive and irreversible
- When you are sure you have highlighted the correct drive, click the Test button
- On the following screen select the WRITE ZEROS option and click Start
- You will now receive a prompt telling you to close all other applications that are running. Do this, and than click the OK button.
- Depending on the state of your drive you will receive one or two prompts reminding you that this action will destroy all data currently on the drive. If you are sure you want to do this, click Yes to each of them
- Next select which method you would like to use to write zeros. The QUICK ERASE option is much faster but does not fully wipe out the drive. This is ideal for users who are planning on re-using the drive. The FULL ERASE will fully wipe out the drive. This takes longer, but helps to ensure that no data on the drive can later be retreived using Data Recovery methods. This method is designed for people who are trying to wipe sensitive data from their disk. Once you have determined which method you would like to use, select the OK button to begin the formatting process.

The Quick setting takes less time and writes zeros to the drive a single time. The Normal setting first fills the drive with data (ones) and than writes zeros over that to help prevent exisiting data from being recovered. When you have selected the method you wish to use press the Next button.
- The next screen is the Proceed screen. Verify the information in the white box and click the Proceed button to begin the low level format of the drive.
- The final screen is the Operation Progress screen. From here you can monitor the progress of the format. Depending on the capacity of your drive and the options you selected this can take a long time.
