Thanks to all of you who did your reading activity .
As you know we will continue The activities on Farvardin 5th.
On Farvardin 5th we are going to study the first unite of English Grammar In use(or maybe more).
but how should we study this book?!!

I think one of the members should be chosen to teach the new grammar tips n then if there was any problem any of us can correct it...n besides there will be some examples....
or I'll teach the grammar if u think other members may not be able to explain it well

Tonight we re gonna learn about Present Continuous and some points about it.

Present Continuous ( I am doing
1 . This tense is used when you are in the middle of doing sth. The action which is not finished yet.

am / is / are + verb + -- ing

I am / am not watching TV.

He
she is / is not working.
it

We
you are/ are not reading this page.

Maryam is talking on the phone now

Lets go out now. It isnt raining any more
.
Look! That boy is trying to break the window
.
You are not swimming now.

2. The action is not happening at the time of speaking. Consider the example :
:a / Steve is talking to a friend on the phone. he says

I am reading a good book at the moment.
He means that he is in the middle of reading that book although he s talking to a friend at the moment.

b /A: What is your major?
B: I am studying to become a doctor.

:Present continuous can be used with these periods of time

Today / this week / this year / for the time being / at the moment

The comany I work for isnt doing so well this year
.
I see that you are wearing new suit today.

3. Also there are some verbs which make changes. When we talk about changes, the present continuous is used. Including:
Get / Change / Become / Increase / Rise / Fall / Grow / Improve / Begin / Start

Your English is improving.
The population of the world is increasing very fast.

1.از این زمان برای بیان عملی که در حال وقوع است استفاده میشود.
Maryam is talking on the phone now. مریم الان تلفنی صحبت می کند
Lets go out now. It s not raining any more. بیا بریم بیرون . دیگه بارون نمی باره
2. به مثال زیر توجه کنید.
:Steve is talking to a friend on the phone. he says

I am reading a good book at the moment
استیو تلفنی داره با دوستش صحبت میکنه و به اون میگه که در حال خوندن یک کتاب است. این عملی ست که ممکن
است در لحظه گفتار انجام نگیرد ولی به طور مستمر ادامه دارد.

مثال 2. رشته تحصیلی شما چیست؟ A. What s your major?
درس می خوانم تا پزشک شوم B. I am studying to become a doctor.

قیودی که با زمان حال استمراری به کار می روند عبارتند از:

3. حال استمراری در افعالی استفاده میشود که شامل تغییرات هستند که این تغییرات در محدوده زمان فعلی رخ میدهند. افعالی که در این مقوله به کار می روند عبارتند از:

we study the English Grammar in Use. this is not essential Grammar in use. Actually Essential Grammar in Use is for elementary students but the level of the book we study is intermediate

These verbs such as get, change and improve... shows that sth or sb follows some changes. just focus on their meaning .
get : شدن
improve: پیشرفت کردن
......
As an example:
The financial problem is getting worse.
Normally, we use simple present . if it happened in the past, we would use past tense

Yes. This tense could be used in passive tense
am / is / are + being+ p.p
Somebody is using the computer. The computer is being used at the moment

But I don't think so. because I have some problems with the ways of using present continues.

I think by doing extra exercises u ll get the grammer appropriately
Ya . u re right. It s the rule of reporting a news. in a text report u could see present continuous or simple present.
But mostly present continuous is applied.
Is organizing is correct.
