New Android and Windows Phone 7 devices?



The buzz from the bees the last couple days over at esato has been about a new Android device and a new Windows Phone 7 device (supposedly to be named X12 and X11 respectively). The rumours come from a user with no history in that forum but seems very certain of himself . Either way, the specs are possible for timescale they’re being touted, although higher than what some might believe. The handset numbers and OSes have also been spotted on seemingly official NTT DoCoMo (Japanese operator) paperwork, adding an amount of credibility to the rumours.

These handsets are supposedly to go head to head with similar offerings from HTC and Samsung.

X11 specs (rumoured):

* Windows Phone 7
* Qualcomm 1.2GHz Processor
* Slider form factor (probably similar to X1 and X2)

X12 specs (rumoured, codename:CLIARO):

* Android 2.2 (possibly Gingerbread)
* 4.0″ AMOLED (720p resolution)
* TI OMAP 1.5GHz processor
* 12.2MP Camera (no mention of flash type)
* 1080p HD video recording
* Similar design to the current X10 i.e. no sliding bits, slim candybar but 3mm slimmer
* Announcement early November
* International release January 14th 2011

Take these rumours with a pinch of salt. It’s rare that rumours are 100% true and many spec leaks from Sony Ericsson in the past have been downgraded on the production models for release.
