منظورم توی مبحث فیزیک بود
حالا اگه بخوام بگم "جهت حرکت انرژی" direction of energy movement درست تره یا direction of movement of energy?

لزوما بحث مترادف واسه یه کلمه مطرح نیست ؛ بحث محتوا و تناسب اون لغت در context هستش ...


من اگه بخوام از دوستم بپرسم "جهت حرکتت" چیه ، رفیق؟ ... بهش میگم " which way are you going " یا اصلا خیلی ساده " where are you going " ... اگه بخوام روی نقشه به یکی نشون بدم که "جهت حرکت" فعلی مون از این نقطه به اون است ، بهش میگم " we are moving from this point to this point " ... اگه وسط جنگ یه نفر خبر بیاره که "جهت حرکت" دشمن به سمت ماست ؛ داد می زنیم " they're coming towards us " ...


طبیعتا همه این جملات رو میشه با direction هم ساخت ، ولی مشخصه که حالت مصطلح تر کدومه ...

Where are you going

اینجا مغز یا مفهوم جمله جهت هست و سوال دوستمون هم در مورد جهت حرکت بود نه جملاتی که مفهوم جهت رو میرسونن (مثلا از این نقطه تا اون نقطه)
من که نتونستم تو جمله های بالا Direction رو به کار ببرم!!!!؟

The rate at which the volume change, or consolidation, occurs in a soil is directly related
to the permeability of the soil because the permeability controls the speed at which the
pore water can escape. The permeability of most sands is so high that the time required
for consolidation after a load application can be considered negligible except for cases
where a large mass of sand is subjected to a rapid shear or shock loading. Conversely,
the low permeability of a clay makes the rate of volume change after application of a load
a factor which must be considered. Laboratory consolidation studies, therefore, are
almost entirely limited to soils of low permeability.
Consolidation is an important fundamental phenomenon which must be understood by
everyone who attempts to gain a knowledge of soil behavior in engineering applications.
