Hey cool, I have a similar music compability with you and I agree that europeans are more talented than yanks.... I try all kinds of music but I am more inclined to classic rock and bands such as pink floyd, the doors, led zeppelin, beatles, ...and as you love katatonia and anathema, I guess you may like some doom metal bands such as "Celestial Season" or "Forest of Shadows" give them a shot...I am also enthusing over the tracks you like best
