GAMINGACCESS PES 2010 DEMO REVIEW - 8.5
The Good
Graphics, very nice
The game won't kill your computer. I played with the MOTHERBOARD. Yes, without graphic card, just an incorporated GeForce 9300 with discrete graphics, and played with awesome frame rate, at medium
The menus, music inside the menus
The gameplay is addictive, feels like playing ping-pong. Back and forth, so fast, you cannot even imagine so many years passed since PES 6.
Game feels like PES 6, with graphics of 2010
Implementing and using the strategy is, finally, easy to understand
The Bad
I played FIFA 09 2 days ago. It was super easy to dribble. I still don't understand why the right stick serves to pass. It should be used to dribble
When I was working in the Libertadores patch, part of doing the patch was inserting better chants. With a cassette and $5 ticket to the stadium, I was able to record better sounds that these chants. I still don't get it, why are the chants always so crappy
Well, Xavier Baez had the privilege to make the first public review of PES 2010, and give it a score, a solid 8.5. If this game would allow me to dribble with the right analog stick, I would give this a 9. Of course, the crappy chants are easily fixable, as well as the usual adboards, this game will be great once the downloads start to come. The gameplay feels good, the players run ok, not like aliens like in PES 2008 or PES 2009. There is no crappy carrousel music anymore (like the "next gen" PES games, hahaha, how embarrasing was that!)
Anyway, the demo is hosted at GamingAccess, but of course, the link will only be given to a few people, since I don't want the server to collapse. I posted a couple of mirrors at the GamingAccess Facebook page and also in the GamingAccess Download Zone. The demo is in English, and it allows you to feel PES 6, I mean PES 2010, well, it feels pretty similar.
XB has a smile in his face, and so will the community. Trust me on this one, if the multiplayer works, this might be the best soccer game in PC ever created.
if the multiplayer doesn't works, it will be a good stand-alone game, and will receive lousy reviews.
We still need to wait for the final review
