>Go to start, type in MSCONFIG and hit enter,
>In Msconfig, go to startup tab, then click on disable all,
>In Msconfig, go to services tab, select "hide all microsoft services" and click on "Disable all",
>Click apply, confirm "do NOT restart now",
>Disable Windows Defender,
>Disable Windows User Account Control,
>Make sure you have uninstalled any previous anti virus program thoroughly.
>Reboot machine into Safe mode.

>In safe mode, clean/delete all temp files in (C:\windows\temp, C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp,
>Rename Infcache.1, located at C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\Infcache.1 to Infcache.1.old,
>Run the Kaspersky Virus Removal tool,
>Run the Kaspersky removal tool in Safe mode, select your product (if you had a older version previously),
>Run the Kaspersky removal tool again. Select all known products this time, reboot.

>Create a new user profile (like "Test" or something),
>Log onto newly created user profile,
>Locate and right click the Kaspersky installer and select Run As Administrator.
The installation SHOULD now complete without issue.
>Please don't forget to re enable UAC when done.
>Please don't forget to go to MSCONFIG and re enable the services , startup programs. Go to start, type MSCONFIG, hit enter and click on "Normal Startup"
>Please don't forget to log into your own profile and delete the temp profile.
>Then reboot again to see if all is well.
