A fresh batch of benchmarks of Qualcomm's S4 platform show just how powerful the new Krait cores are. The tests were run on a reference platform, but since we don't care about the rest of the hardware (screen, camera, etc.), just the chipset performance, these result are a good indication of what to expect.
Qualcomm S4 uses Krait cores, two running at 1.5GHz in the case of the MSM8960 that was used in the reference platform. Krait is better in almost every respect than the old Scorpion cores and as a result performance has skyrocketed in both single and multi threaded tests.
Linpack reports a whopping 106.8 MFLOPS in single-threaded mode and 218.2 MFLOPS in multithreaded mode. For comparison, a Tegra 3 chipset with four Cortex-A9 cores at 1.3GHz score 135.9 MFLOPS in the multi-threaded benchmark.

Linpack benchmark results for Qualcomm S4 MSM8960 and Tegra 3 (single and multithreaded)
SunSpider and BrowserMark results top even the highly optimized Samsung Galaxy Nexus, though not by as much as we would have expected.
The GPU inside the Qualcomm MSM8960 is an Adreno 225, even though S4 chipsets are supposed to use Adreno 3xx GPUs. Still, on paper the 225 matches the PowerVR SGX543MP2, a.k.a. the GPU found inside the iPhone 4S.
GLBenchmark however tells a different story - when run in offscreen mode (so that it can be forced to render graphics at 720p resolution, regardless of the actual screen res), the Adreno 225 beats the Mali-400MP4 inside the Galaxy S II (but not by much) and falls quite short of the SGX543MP2. It lags behind the Tegra 3's GPU too.

GLBenchmark results for Qualcomm S4 MSM8960 and Tegra 3 (Egypt and Pro)
Hit the source link to check out more benchmark results and an in-depth analysis of the MSM8960-based reference platform over at AnandTech.

Following yesterday's "L" [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] LG has officially announced three new droids - the L7, L5 and L3. All three devices will be shown at the MWC next week.

    The Optimus L3, L5 and L7
The three Optimus L smartphones will feature square, thin metallic design with a textured leather-like panel on the back. They will also offer what LG calls "floating mass display" - a display closer to the surface, which should appear as if it is floating on it.
The Optimus L7 features a 4.3" display and will run on Android ICS out of the box. The Optimus L5 will offer ICS and a 4" display. Both are expected to hit the shelves in Europe in the first half of the year.

The more compact LG Optimus L3 has a 3.2" display and will run Android Gingerbread (2.3) at launch. Its availability in Europe should start in March.
We'll be getting to know the LG L7, L5 and L3 better at the MWC next week, so stay tuned for lots of photos, videos and hands-on impressions.

After announcing the three new L-series smartphones yesterday, LG has yet another phone to announce before MWC. This one is the successor to the [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] and is called the Optimus 3D Cube.

The [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] improves upon its successor by having a newer, thinner design, which is just 9.6mm thick compared to the 11.9mm thickness of the previous phone. It also has a slightly bigger battery, 1.2GHz processor instead of 1GHz, 16GB memory instead of 8GB and comes with NFC built-in. Another addition is the ability to not only capture 3D images and videos but also be able to edit 3D images directly on the phone.
Apart from this the new Optimus 3D Cube is similar to the old one, with the same 4.3-inch, glassess-free 3D WVGA IPS display and dual 5 megapixel cameras at the back for recording 3D stills and 1080p video. The Optimus 3D Cube will be running on Android 2.3, with an Ice Cream Sandwich update hopefully arriving soon.
The phone will launch in South Korea on SK Telecom in March but we will be getting to see it sooner at MWC next week.

LG just unveiled the glasses-free 3D smartphone Optimus 3D Max. The announcements comes hot on the heels of the [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] and the two smartphones are almost identical in terms of specs.
The [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] sports the same 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, dual 5MP camera, NFC capabilities and even Android 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box. ICS updates for both should come right after they launch.
Differences come from the 3D Max's screen, which is a conventional WVGA 4.3 LCD, rather than Cube's 4.3-inch NOVA display and the internal memory, which is only 8GB for the Max.
    LG Optimus 3D Max
As the name of the smartphone suggests, there are some stereoscopic extras on board the 3D Max not found in the Cube. For example, the Max features an HD Converter, which upconverts games and apps to HD resolution when connected to an HDTV via MHL. There's also a 3D converter, which converts 2D apps like Google Earth and Google Maps to 3D.
The camera of the Optimus 3D Max has also visited the LG feature factory and got a range finder and selective focus shooting. We'll be getting to try those features at the MWC, starting next week and we'll make sure to keep you updated on their real life performance.
The Optimus 3D Max will hit in Korea in March with global availability coming up shortly after.

The hotly awaited HTC One X has its first press image leaked days before MWC. Now we can finally see the Taiwanese 720p LCD droid face to face in clear view.
As you can see, those icons have lost of real estate all to themselves on the One X's 4.7-inch 720p LCD screen, which will run HTC's refreshed Sense 4.0 UI skin on top of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Seems like HTC isn't ready to ditch the capacitive hardware buttons in favor of the virtual ICS ones. If you are curious about how HTC Sense UI 4.0 will look like, [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] .
There are still three days left until HTC officially announces the One X. Currently, besides the 4.7-inch screen, it's pretty much certain the One X will feature a Tegra (3) [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] chipset, 1GB of RAM and an 8MP camera at the back.
Stay tuned for our in-depth coverage of everything MWC 2012 and especially our hands-on of the HTC One X.

Along with the [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] ICS handsets announced yesterday, ZTE had another ICS-based smartphone to announce before MWC. This one is called the Mimosa X and will be running on the Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. While that itself is nothing special, it will also be the first device to have the Nvidia Icera 450 HSPA+ modem.

If you're wondering what so special about that, so far the phones made with the Tegra 2 processor had to rely on modems from other companies, such as Qualcomm. Last year, Nvidia acquired Icera who also make modems for smartphones. This allows them to use their own modems in phones powered by their processors and the ZTE Mimosa X is the first phone to do so.
Other than that the Mimosa X is a typical upper mid-range smartphone, with a qHD display, 5 megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, 4GB memory, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. For any further information, we will have to wait for MWC next week. The phone will be launched in Q2, 2012.

It's no secret Huawei has big plans for its Sunday press conference. The event, which should kickstart the MWC will feature at least one quad-core smartphone device and we get to see its press shots in advance.
The Huawei Ascend D1 Q will obviously have a pretty face to go along with all the muscle under the hood. Judging by those press shots, the Tegra 3-packing Ascend D1 Q won't have the impressively slim waistline of the [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] , but it will still be one sleek smartphone.

Usability and attention to detail are also advertised as the Huawei Ascend D1 Q strengths, though the wording of the Huawei PR team is rather strange. At any rate, the D1 Q has every chance of becoming the first quad-core global smartphone to be announced as the Huawei press conference is a few hours before the HTC one this Sunday.
Now enjoy those smooth lines for a while more and don't forget to watch this spot on Sunday for the updates from the press event.

We're a week away from the MWC but the announcements of new phones keep flooding in - the latest is the [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] , an LTE-enabled droid. Its other highlight is the NFC technology and accompanying tags.
LG calls them Tag Plus and several will be available with the Optimus LTE Tag. The phone will detect these NFC tags and perform some customizable action - e.g. launch the SatNav app when it sees the car tag, turn on the Wi-Fi in your office, set up tomorrow's alarm when you put it on the nightstand and so on.

It's a very similar concept to the [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] , but the LG Tags Plus will be stickers and you'll get sheets of them with the Optimus LTE Tag, both pre-defined and blank ones and users will be able customize what each of them does.
Other than that, the phone is like a smaller [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] (which also has NFC). The LTE Tag has a 4.3" IPS LCD screen with WVGA resolution and 650 nits of brightness, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5MP camera and a MHL port.
The LG Optimus LTE Tag will launch in South Korea with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It's set to cost 800,000 won ($710, €540).
There are still some unknown detail, like teh video camera resolution and availability. The Optimus LTE is available in the States, so maybe the Optimus LTE Tag will be too, but there's no official info on that.

It seems ZTE just couldn't wait for MWC (which will begin next week) to announce two of its upcoming Android smartphone. Both of these new phones will be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.

The first one is the PF200, which will be a high-end model. It has a 4.3-inch display with 960 x 540 resolution, 1.2GHz processor (likely to be dual-core), 8 megapixel rear camera with a 1080p front facing video camera, LTE, DLNA, MHL and NFC connectivity.

The second one is the N910, which should be a mid-range model and will work on CDMA networks. It will have a 800 x 480 resolution display of unknown size, 1.5GHz processor (likely to be single-core), 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, 1080p front facing video camera, LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and DLNA connectivity.

ViewSonic announced three new phones all of which run Android Ice Cream Sandwich and have two SIM slots. That might make them the first dual-SIM Android ICS phones, for what that's worth.
The best-specced of the three phones has a 3.5" Super Clear IPS LCD with 640x960 pixels resolution and is called - wait for it - ViewSonic 4s. Yeah, like that iPhone Apple have. Anyway, it also has a 1GHz processor and a 5MP camera.

The other phone is the ViewSonic 3GS, uh, 4e which has a 3.5" HVGA screen, 3MP camera and 650MHz and is 10.3mm thick.
With these names Viewsonic is obviously staking on the remote similarity to Apple products. It's really a ridiculous move and we can't quite wrap our heads around their concept. Ok, perhaps, not ridiculous, but kinda sad.
The third one isn't just a phone - the ViewSonic 5e has 5" WVGA screen and is more of a phoneblet, but just like the other two it has two SIM slots and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
But whatever, Viewsonic should really stop playing with stuff they don't really understand. Every year the announce a bunch of weird looking phones at the MWC and then nobody hears anything about them. They should probably stick with their monitors.

Both [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] and [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] have been hyping their quad-core system-on-a-chip monsters but the smug on their face is about to get wiped. NVidia’s, at least.
That’s because Texas Instruments, not to be left out of the whole quad-core SoC mash-up, has released a video showcasing its OMAP 5 brute power. More specifically, it’s the OMAP 5430 with two A15 cores helped by two companion M4 cores alongisde a SGX544 MP2 graphics chip. It takes on the ASUS Transformer Prime with its 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex A9 (Tegra 3, or 4-PLUS-1) beating in its shell.
Naturally, to show its system off, TI organized a comparison test between the two Cortex A15 cores and four A9s in a direct battle of rendering 20 HTML5 pages while downloading a video and playing music. Here’s how it went.
The multi-core chip from Texas Instruments won the battle without breaking a sweat. The reason for this is simple. Even though the Cortex A15s used in the TI OMAP 5430 are only clocked at 800MHz, they are built using the 28nm process, while the Cortex A9′s are on the 32nm process. This means more transistors and thus higher performance despite of the lower clock speed.
Texas Instruments expect their new OMAP 5 series of processors to start appearing in devices in late 2012 or early 2013. Just in time for the next Nexus smartphone?

Asus joined the teaser game ahead of the MWC and released a short video of Matroshka dolls through its official YouTube channel. Titled “Divided We Stand. Together We Rock”, the video says does the math and concludes that “1+1+1″ gives you endless possibilities.

You know, just like a phone, which can power a tablet and take a keyboard dock would. The Asus Padfone was already confirmed by the company, but there were very few details given.
We expect to see a Tegra 2 or Tegra 3-powered smartphone, which can slide into the back of a tablet and use the larger screen, when you need it. A Transformer Prime-style keyboard dock is obviously also probable, as we don’t find any other explanation for the final +1 segment of the equation.
The Asus press conference is scheduled for Monday and naturally we’ll be on site getting to know whatever new devices the company throws our way and channeling our impressions to you.

Let’s face it: the [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] , which is on our hands today, looks like anything but a budget minded Android smartphone. It is very big and very white. And yes: it also packs two SIM card slots and two (!) homescreen buttons.

Without a closer look at its hardware and specs, the BLU Studio 5.3 can easily pass for a direct competitor to the mighty [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] . But it is not. It costs less than half the Korean royalty, and doesn’t have the ambition to go head to head with it
Instead, the white dressed giant is gunning for the hordes of budget Android devices, sporting displays in the 3″ range, and falling short from the presence it packs.
Now on with the specs. The BLU Studio 5.3 features a an ARMv6 CPU, clocked at 650MHz, a PowerVR SGX531 GPU, and 512MB of RAM. There is 200MB of built-in memory, which can be further expanded through a microSD card slot. The screen is a massive 5.3 incher, which is let down by its WVGA resolution, giving it the lowly pixel density of 176 ppi. There is a 5MP camera on the devices back, and a VGA front unit for video calls.
Quite logically, the measures of the BLU Studio 5.3 are hardly the most pocket friendly ones out there. They are 150 x 81 x 10.9 mm, while the device’s weight tips the scale at 192 grams. A 2500 mAh battery powers the phoneblet lookalike.

In the software department of the BLU Studio 5.3, you get Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread out of the box. Interestingly enough, the device’s UI comes with a slew of themes and launchers out of the box, thus allowing you to make it look right up to your taste. Check it out in action below.

Rockstar keeps delivering great news to gamers around the planet today. First it was [ برای مشاهده لینک ، با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ] and now the game studio confirms that the original Max Payne game will hit iOS and Android devices “very soon”.

The news came from a Q&A session hosted on the Rockstar website, where a fan asked whether Max Payne will be ported for mobile devices and Rockstar responded “Yes, it’s on its way”.
This isn’t going to be the first time Rockstar launches its older game titles on mobile platforms. In fact it’s quite understandable that after the successful release of Grand Theft Auto III, Max Payne is on his way.
Rockstar says they are preparing an official announcement, which should answer the rest of our questions. Here’s hoping it takes place in the following weeks.

6 Is this the Xperia PLAY 2?

انگار سونی در حال ساخت گوشی جدید اکسپریا پلی 2 هست
باید ببینیم این شایعه به واقعیت تبدیل خواهد شد ؟ یا خیر ؟

Treat this firmly with a pinch of salt, but Concept-Phones have a render of the Xperia PLAY 2 that they have been told is indeed real. It was sent over by Jsus, who has created a number of different Xperia concept renders in the past. Our sources have not mentioned anything about a new iteration of the Xperia PLAY, but that’s not to say it’s not in development. Concept-Phones says the handset will come with a 4.3-inch (720 x 1280) display , 1.5GHz dual-core S4 Snapdragon processor and 8.1MP camera with LED flash. There are a few things about the phone that do not look right to us (if indeed it is real). For example, the transparent strip, seen as part of the Iconic Identity of the new Xperia handsets, would probably be covered by the joypad when closed. Therefore it would serve no purpose in terms of notifications. Also there are four capacitive buttons at the bottom of the handset that would probably not be needed under Android 4.0 ICS. Anyway, have a look at the larger image below and tell us what you think. We say it’s strictly a concept, but you can never say never.

HTC will hold its MWC press conference in less than 48 hours, so there is still time for some leaked product images, right? The company's upcoming One S mid-range device has just emerged fresh from yet another photo shoot, where it happily posed alongside an HTC Sensation.
