دوست عزیز ممنون بابت این اصطلاحات ولی اینجوری نمیشه چیزی یاد گرفت ، با لیست کردن لغت، اصطلاح و... شما بهتره چند تارو انتخاب کنید و تو یه پست مطرح کنید با 1- جمله سازی 2- توضیح انگلیسی و در آخر برای تفهیم بیشتر در صورت نیاز معنی فارسی موفق باشید

اتفاقا میشه یاد گرفت و کاربردی هم هست من خودم خیلی موارد دنبال یه اصطلاح خاص بودم و این جوری پیدا کردم (دنبال معنی فارسیش بودم) بعد رفتم و تو انگلیسی جمله سازیشم دیدم

فرمایش شما صحیحه با مثال فهم مطلب بالاتر میره ولی هیچ تاثیری تو اصل مطلب نداره

بیشتر هدف من فارسی این اصطلاحات بوده و هست وگرنه انگلیسیش که تو نت به وفور یافت میشه

بچه ها یه کتاب اصطلاحات پیدا کردم تو زیر زمین خونمون مال سال 69 شمسی هست میخوام بخونمش ببینم چی چی میگه - سعی میکنم هروز اگه نشد هروقت که وقت کردم یه چند تا از اصطلاحاتش رو اینجا بنویسم

بچه ها وقتم رو تنظیم کردم هر هفته جمعه ها صبح حدود ساعت 10.30 -





1- توانایی ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the ball

able to do one's job well, very efficient
the new clerk is really on the ball he has already improved the filing system in the office


be/get on top of something

be able to control or deal with something difficult, etc
this is a difficult job but i am sure that Mr lee is on the top of it from the excellent reports I've had

get one's eye in

become skillful or develop the ability to do something after a period of play or practice
John isn't playing very well at the moment but i am sure he will soon get his eye in and play as well as he usually does

find one's feet

reach the stage where one is able to do something on one's own
I was very grateful to MR Robinson during my first week in my new job ; he helped me a lot until I found my feet


have it in one

have a natural ability
Mr lee has it in himself to be a successful businessman

A past master

an expert at something
don't believe him; he is a past master at making excuse

no longer able to do something ( usually because one is too old, too unfit )f

john seems to know all the answers, but i don't think he's as clever as he appears at first

a bright( young) person who is soon highly successful in his/her job
he is a real whizz kid, he has had a lots of brilliant new ideas and most of them have been successful

have good judgement, be shrewd
she runs a large electronics factory, so she knows a thing or two about modern technology
