Topic: Do you believe in the prediction that the world will end in 2012

Do you believe in the prediction that the world will end in 2012?

As we all know the world will end one day but no one can claim for sure that he or she is able to tell the exact time and date of that. The man can only purpose an approximate time by his scientific calculations and knowledge.

In brief, I would say firstly, I never don'tbelieve in predictions because they are nothing more than a common human's unproved thoughts. Secondly, I think As scientific studies show, are showing the way to us it's so soon for the earth to be destroyed and for the world to end .

The recent fast spreading prediction is more likely to be a political strategy of western countries for confusing the thoughts of people in order to obtain their political goals.
Another hypothesis I have, is that it can be anything with any purpose other than a truth!

I don't claim that nothing will happen in 12th December 2012, something may happen but I believe that we should not be so surrounded by this prediction so that we forget living and enjoying the present moments of time that we have for living and struggling for our goals.
Keep trust in the almighty and keep hope alive.

Nice writing but I don't understand something
what do you mean by "purpose"?
Did you use it as a verb?
    It's not a verb.
and one more thing, "the almighty" would suffice to mention Allah, no need to use Allah again or you can just use Allah. It would imply the meaning.
All in all, I enjoyed reading it, thanks.

What is assignment about: I'm going to explain my opinions about the 2012 year and its prediction

Do you believe in the prediction that the world will end in 2012

You are not prepared. The end of world is near.As a prediction of Mayans tribe, the 2012 phenomenon will occur on December 21 or December 23, 2012 and the world will end.Is world really going to finish?

These days, many people are speaking about this phenomenon, someone is committing a suicide, dreading, praying and doing some other works. Everyone has a personal opinion about it. Some say it is not the end, it is a scientific phenomenon and some say it is the end and we are going to die. I don't care what others say, because I believe in God and everything which happens in this world has got a wisdom and if it occurs there must be a reason or wisdom that we don't know.

In my opinion, it is not really, but if it is true and it occurs, it surely not is not surely the end of the world. As I know, some unfinished works must be finished by someone and the world will not end before it. Therefore, it is just like a big dreadful storm. So 12-21-2012 is not the end of world

It was nice...all your ideas put into two paragraphs

I didn't get the violet sentence.
"suicide" always collocates with the verb "commit"
Be careful about using passive tense

In my view, it is the same as believe death with this difference that death has been proved and everybody believes that, but nobody doesn't know its time and besides, promised by God, but end of the world is just a guess that its time became distinct by mankind. The future is unpredictable, of course, everyone must has a plan for future and life but our plan will change by the time. Some unexpected events will happen during our life that will change that. In any case, life is continuing and we have to go on with a little change. To tell the truth, I don't believe it and I never think of that. Who knows, maybe it is true and it will happen against my idea. In this situation, I won’t lose anything as well. I lived just as I liked. In my opinion, believing in the end of the world causes a life full of hate, hopelessness, cowardice, discrimination, roughness etc.I am convinced to live at the present and not to worry about the future, because it will come and I don't regret about losing the past but I take experience of mistakes.

    very well organized.thanks.
    about the violet sentence:
It is a double negative sentence and it's not common anymore
    better to say:
    Nobody knows

    Tonic water please

This story is about Tesuya Saruhashi and his problems when he lived in Canada for a year. Before going, he took some English calsses but he couldn’t pronounce sounds “V” and “I” well. For example, when he looked for some volunteer work, he pronounced “volunteer” like “brounteer” and when he wanted to drink tonic water, he pronounced “tonic water” like “twenty quarters” and bartender wanted to give him twenty quarters. After that, whenever he wants to drink tonic water, he remembers this incident

This text is about a japanese university student that he has studied in Toronto, Canada for a year. He took several English classes to learn English very well before he went to Canada. In Canada, he didn't have any problem with understood people but people couldn't understand him because of his pronunciation specially with the' V ' sound and the ' L ' sound as sometimes he had to write his sentence or he had to repeat that several times.l

    In the name of God

    Summary

Studying this paper would be explained that different mother tongue accents are absolutely and completely influenced by the pronunciation of English letters, words and sentences.

One of the Japanese, Tesuya Saruhashi , had this problem in speaking . Although he couldn't pronounce the delicate letter of "r" instead of "v", he practiced more to say them better.

One of his stories about this misunderstanding of others is that he was in a bar ,asked for "tonic water" to drink, but the bartender couldn’t get his words at all, he understood it" twenty quarters" instead of "tonic water" . The Japanese man smiled him due to this problem.

    Nice summary but not perfect.
A summary should contain the main points and it should be independent. Imagine that someone who doesn't know anything about the original text is going to read your summary and get the main points of the original text.
For example, the last sentence of your paragraph is not that much important to be mentioned in your summary. By the way, the first sentence is not mentioned by the author of the text. In a good summary, you should write the main points in another way. I mean you should write the information presented in the text, in other words(in your own words for example) and you must not add new information to it.
    Good luck.

    Tonic water please

This is about a man who was born in Tokyo. Then, he worked and studied in Toronto, Canada for a year. Although before going to Canada he went to several conversation classes and prasticed a lot to improve his speaking but there he faced many pronunciation difficulties. He had some parlance problems with some letters of English alphabet so often that his second person misunderstood him. He had two experiences about his problem.
    َA good summary!
It includes the main points but that 'this is about' bothers me
Don't write such things at the beginning of your summary. As I said before, imagine that the reader doesn't know anything about what you're writing about.
*Parlance is quite a formal word and your summary is not that much formal.
*I didn't get what you mean by " his second person"
Ain't it better to say " his partner?"

    Good luck

    A new memberwelcome
I enjoyed reading your summary. Just some spelling mistakes(better to say: typing mistakes)
But I don't understand why your summaries are too short?
It is a summary of course but It must include the main ideas as well
    well done
    Good luck

The first letter of all nationalities should be capitalized.
A good summary, you've mentioned his experiences in an indirect way. Well done.

    Good luck
