My summery
The Leonardo's painting of Mona Lisa is the most famous painting in the world. He was done it around 1500. Later the king of French bought it and put it in his royal palace. In 1911the painting was stolen. At this time many copies of it were made and sold to American. After 2 years the thief sold it to a gallery in Italy. There are many theories about the woman's character, some said that she was wife of a merchant from Italy and some others said that her face is like to Leonardo's face. The mystery of Mona Lisa's smile is a clever artistic technique.

The paragraph is an informative note on Leonardo da Vinci's famous portrait of Mona Lisa. The painting is most likely to be portrait of wife of a France merchant but there are also other hypotheses about it. The painting had been in many palaces of varies kings with the passage of time and now it's in the Louvre art museum in France. It is not for sure whether it is the real portrait painted by Leonardo himself or not because once in 1911 the painting was stolen and 2 years later the theft had sold it to a museum in Italy. The fame of the painting is due to use of an artistic technique in it which confuse the observer that whether the woman in painting is smiling or thinking?

i have a problem with your second sentence, you could say i spend my pocket money to buy something, or i spend in buying my friends something or ... just more realistic
