لوح های فشرده آموزشی و چند رسانه ای امروزه بخش عظیمی از بازار فروش نرم افزاری را اشغال کرده اند. شرکت های کوچک و بزرگ نرم افزاری به منظور ارتقا سطح علمی کاربران و نیز اهداف تبلیغاتی خود هر روزه تعداد زیادی از مجموعه های آموزشی را به بازار عرضه می کنند. یکی از مهمترین اصول ساخت و عرضه این گونه محصلات در این است که مجموعه آموزشی باید به گونه ای باشد که حتی مبتدی ترین کاربران کامپیوتر به راحتی از آن استفاده نموده و از آموزش های آن استفاده کنند. معمولا این مجموعه ها به صورت AutoRun ( اجرای خودکار ) ساخته می شوند و کاربر پس از قرار دادن Cd آموزشی درون کامپیوتر خود ، پنجره ای به صورت خودکار برای کاربر باز شده و در آن نحوه استفاده از آموزش ها و چگونگی استفاده از ابزار داخل مجموعه توضیح داده شده و با ظاهری گرافیکی و با کمک کلید ها و تصاویر موجود در autorun کاربر به راحتی از تمامی امکانات آن استفاده می کند. ساخت این autorun ها توسط نرم افزار هایی انجام می شود که به همین منظور طراحی شده اند. نرم افزارهای متفاوتی که هر یک از آن ها با ابزار مختلف و گوناگون و همچنین ویژگی های مخصوص خود توجه عده ای از کاربران را به خود جلب می کنند. البته ساخت این Autorun ها توسط برنمه نویسی به کم زبان هایی مثل Delphi و VB نیز امکان پذیر می باشد که مستلزم تسلط داشتن بر روی این زبان های برنامه نویسی می باشد و کاربران عادی قادر به استفاده از این زبان ها نیستند. به کمک نرم افزارهایی که به منظور ساخت autorun طراحی شده اند همه کاربران قادر خواهند بود که برای Cd مورد نظر خود اقدام به ساخت Autorun نمایند.

AutoRun Typhoon Professional نام نرم افزاری از شرکت Typhoon Software می باشد که به وسیله آن کاربران سطوح مختلف کامپیوتر قادر به ساخت autorun های زیبا خواهند بود. به کمک این نرم افزار قدرتمند کاربران قادر به ساخت autorun به صورت کاملا گرافیکی خواهند بود و پنجره مربوط به autorun خود را در تمامی مراحل طراحی به صورت گرافیکی مشاهده کرده با چند کلیک به تمامی ابزار موجد در برنامه دسترسی خواهند داشت.

از ویژگی های این نرم افزار می توان به موارد زیر اشاره نمود:
