Earlier today NowGamer contacted Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for comment on the reported images of a PlayStation Phone.
“Sony Europe debunked the images as false”
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has since confirmed its official line on the rumoured phone as, "We do not comment on rumour and speculation."
However, NowGamer still understands that the images are indeed fake.
The suspect images have come under criticism from a number of news sites. A closer look at the top screen in particular reveals a number of telltale signs, such as a large amount of dirt collecting around the screen, as well as mention of 'A' and 'B' buttons on the interface.
The images supposedly show the 'PlayStation Phone' as having phone capabilities, PlayStation buttons, multi-touch thumbars and an onboard camera.
NowGamer also contacted Sony Ericsson for a comment. A spokesperson also responded, "Sony Ericsson does not comment on rumour or speculation".
