A new Bluetooth headset has been released by Generic called the BT-407. The headset supports the latest Bluetooth 2.0 standard and arrives with a reversible earhook, allowing you to make a quick ear change when required – according to the Woot website.
The BT-407 has an operating distance of around 30 feet which is pretty good and includes both Bluetooth headset and hands-free profiles while in use. Other features include an answer/end call option, a reject call feature, call hold/call wait and a dedicated volume control
The unit features a useful talktime period of eight hours and a healthy total stand by time of 170 hours while charge time to full power for its included lithium polymer battery is reported to be two hours.

Plantronics used the recent MOBO awards in London to show off its incredibly flamboyant Bluetooth headset. Using the same the design as their successful Discovery 925 headset, Plantronics has adorned the Discovery 925 Jewel with 18 karat gold, 40 diamonds and 31 natural pearls. The headset is the creation of designer Phoebe Coleman who says the device 'can be enjoyed as a piece of art and technology'.
The Plantronics Bluetooth Discovery 925 Jewel is to be auctioned off later this year for charity, but with an estimated value of £50,000, bids may be few and far between.

Video eyewear specialists Myvu has announced that their Myvu Crystal glasses are now compatible with Apple's iPhone.
Hook the video glasses up to an iPhone and you will be able to view video content from the phone on a virtual 32.6-inch screen.
Myvu claims their Myvu Crystal eyewear is the thinnest, lightest and most durable video eyewear available, while customers can choose from an amber or black.
On purchasing the Myvu Crystal, customers will receive a rechargeable battery, a USB charging cable and noise-cancelling earphones courtesy of Ultimate Ears.
Myvu are the only official eyewear provider to Apple, with the Myvu Crystal having been certified with 'Works for iPhone'. They can be purchased online from the Apple Store with a retail price of £229.95.
Myvu Crystal also works with any Nokia NSeries device that features a video-out function.

Denon has introduced a new set of headphones into the UK market. The AH-NC732 headphones feature a noise cancelling facility - a high-end set which promises up to 99-percent noise reduction. The headphones offer a dual set of 40mm drivers that allows the phones to adjust the sound pressure balance in front of, and behind, the diaphragm.
The noise cancellation feature does require its own power supply, however, according to the Slashgear website. That is supplied on the phones via a single AAA battery. This power source should provide you with around 40 hours of use before it will need replacement.
The Denons have been well designed and should appeal to the more audiophile music listener. As such the unit comes with luxurious touches such as the leather covered ear pads. For convenience, the whole set folds away flat for storage.
Emphasising its excellent portable characteristics, the AH-NC732s weigh just 160g with the cable.

The Phoenix, from Callpod, allows you to make conference calls via its built in Bluetooth facility.
In operation, the unit works simply. You just press a button on the unit itself and the Phoenix will look for Bluetooth capable mobile headsets, phones and PCs. In fact, it will search for up to five headsets, a single mobile phone which acts as the source for the call plus a PC simultaneously. When the call is made, all five of the headsets will be linked and will be able to engage in conversation via a full duplex facility.
It is possible to have a conversation over a 300,000 square foot of space, which means that staff working in large warehouses, restaurants, emergency rescue and the like will find it ideal.
To power the unit, it comes with a lithium ion battery. The maximum talk time limit is around 10 hours.

Case Mate has revealed the Vroom for the iPhone mobile phone

Case Mate has unveiled a new protective case for the Apple mobile phone, the iPhone. Called the Vroom, the new case will appeal to all car fans as it adopts a unique tyre tread pattern on the surface.
Reportedley, the new case is constructed from 100% real rubber and, observers say, is impact resistant. Fully protecting the face of the iPhone, the case does provide full access to the handset's buttons and fuctions. However, if you also own a 3G holster-type carrier of any sort, the case will not be compatible.
The new Vroom case is available now and is priced at a reasonable $14.99. UK buyers will be able to order the case direct from the company's website.
The new protective case will certainly attract attention and is sure to break the ice at parties as well as attracting you to the opposite --- and acting as the catalyst for your future financial fortune.

EOps, a design outfit from Japan, has released the i24R3 wireless speaker system for the Apple iPhone mobile phone. Like any phone - or MP3 player for that matter - the size of the unit precludes the implementation of top quality audio. Using headphones is fine while travelling but, if you're relaxing at home for example, you really don't want to use headphone then. There are plenty of docking systems currently available on the market which would suit a home environment. However, the principle problem with such systems is the same problem that still infests any sort of music system - wires. Lots of them. They look unsightly and, in worse case scenarios, they can be snagged or tripped over causing breakages and other damage.
This new wireless system is ideal, therefore. It pairs an iPod-dock woofer base unit with 2 or more remote stereo speakers which can actually connect up to 8 speakers, says the Phones Review website. It is also controlled via touch free gestures. So, you wave your hand to increase the volume, for example. It'll be released early next year. Price to be announced.
