I'm not sure what you mean ... songs that describe one's personality or one's feelings?
Anyway, I personally prefer instrumentals, specially the ones played by piano .... soothing ...
There are some sorrows that I classify them into beautiful sorrows by that I mean when these sad feelings permeate your body you somehow find some hidden soothing or calming perception. It's hard to explain, it's a subjective feeling only griever can touch

Recently I've downloaded some of Lara Fabian's Albums.She has a great voice being very similar to Celine Dion's voice.Also they both have the same genre.Have you ever listened to her songs? Although she is from Belgium and her native language is french but she also can speak english and has released some English Albums. Among them is "A Wonderful Life" which was released in 2004.
The Track 10 named "I've Cried Enough" is a sad but promising song that can impress depressed souls to make them keep on living.
Til now I've played this song for more than half an hour.
