Judging someone's output on a flawed system like Metacritic -- and the often defective systems of the critics contributing to Metacritic scores -- is a terrible, terrible idea. As other Gamasutra editors have demonstrated, plenty of remarkable video games have not received their due on Metacritic thanks to those problems

Metacritic score is really just an arbitrary number derived from the press, and it doesn't take much to ruin your chances of receiving a "good" score

برآیند نظرات بالا اینه که برای ناشرها و قسمت هایی که مستقیما با فروش ارتباط پیدا می کنه، متاکریتیک اهمیت بالایی داره، چون متای بالاتر جزو فاکتورهایی هست که روی محبوبیت بالاتر تاثیر می گذاره و از این نظر روی فروش تاثیر گذاره، اما برای مقایسه کیفیت و به عنوان یک معیار مشکلات بسیار زیادی داره و نمیشه گفت همیشه رابطه مستقیمی وجود داره (I’m not saying that a high Metacritic accounts for high quality across the board ) در عین اینکه یک معیار نسبی هست و ممکنه در بسیاری از موارد امکان مقایسه رو فراهم کنه، عناوین زیادی هستند که در عین کیفیت بالاتر متای پایین تری دارند و بالعکس (نظرات بالا) و دلیل اون نواقص و مشکلات بسیار زیادی هست که در ساختار متا وجود داره.
