انجام پروژه عظیم در خلیج فارس است که به صورت از خط ساحلی را تغییر دهد. این آنقدر وسیع است که می توان آن را از فضا دیده می شود. نخل جمیرا ، یکی از پروژه های بی پروا و مهندسی جهان تا به حال دیده می شود ، یک جزیره مصنوعی به شکل درخت نخل عظیم است. megastructure نفس و مهندسی موسیقی بلند پروازانه ، پالم جمیرا بخشی از طرح بزرگتری برای تبدیل دبی را به یکی از توریستی جهان برتر است. اما با تنها چند سال برای ایجاد این جزیره بهشت ، آن مسابقه با زمان است. علاوه بر ساخت جزیره ، نیز وجود دارد چالش ایجاد یک شهرستان کوچک ، از جمله خانه های لوکس و 4،500 آپارتمان ، 29 هتل ، کیلومتر از جاده ها ، و تمام خدمات مورد نیاز هزاران نفر از مردم خواهد شد که در زندگی و با استفاده از این جزیره از جمله آب ، برق ، گاز و فاضلاب. این پروژه قرار است برای تکمیل در سال 2008 -- البته آنها در موعد مقرر به ملاقات خود را؟ و چه دیگر megastructures است شیخ دبی برای برنامه ریزی؟
