Sometimes, a perceived disability (2) turns out to be an asset on the job. Though he is only 18 years old and blind,Suleyman Gokiygit (pronounced gok-yi-it) is among the top computer technicians and programmers at InteliData technologies corp., a large software company with several offices across the United States.
“After a merger (3) last October, two disparate computer networks (4) were driving us crazy,” recalls Douglas Braun, an InteliData vice president.“we couldn’t even send e-mail to each other.” In three weeks, Mr. Gokiygit, a university of Toledo Sophomore who works
Part-time at InteliData’s office in the city, created the software needed to integrate the two networks.
“None of the company’s 350 other employees could have done the job in three months,” says Mr. Braun.
“Suleyman can literally ‘see’ into the heart of the computer.”
Mr. Gokiygit gift, as Mr. Braun calls it, is an unusual ability to conceptualize (5) the innards (6) of a machine.
“The computer permits me to reach out into the world and do almost anything I want to do,” says Mr. Gokiygit, who

Like most blind people who work with computers, Mr. Gokyigit uses a voice-synthesizer that reads the video display on his monitor in mechanical voice. Devices that produce Braille screen displays are also available but Mr. Gokyigit says they "waste time". Instead, he depends on memory. Turning the synthesizer to top speed, he remembers almost everything he hears, at least until a project is completed. While the synthesizer talks, Mr. Gokyigit mentally "maps" the computer screen with number coordinate (such as three across, two down) and memorizes the location of each icon on the grid so he can call up files with his mouse.
The young programmer is also at home with (8) hardware, thanks partly to a highly developed sense of touch. Mitzi Nowakowski, an office manager at InteliData, recalls how he easily disconnected and reconnected their computer systems during a move last year. " Through feel, Suleyman can locate (9) connectors, pins and wires much faster than most other people with sight," she says.

Several months ago , on a trip to San Fransisco , Mr Braun had difficulty accessing (10) the company's mainframe using his laptop.He needed specific numbers to get into four InteliData files . Instead of asking someone to manually search thick logbook (11) of computer addresses , he called Mr Gokyigit who had committed the logbook to memory and produced the proper numbers "in ten seconds" Mr Braun says.
Much of the students programmer's speed comes from his ability to block out (12) distractions while at the computer. When typing, he listens intently to the synthesizer . His long, thin fingers fly over the keyboard."Nothing seems to shake his concentration" says Mrs.Nowakowski , his immediate boss (13).

this is my summary

This reading is about a genius and his works for IntelData company. Although Suleyman Gokiygit is 18 years old and he is blind, he is genius in computer and programming at InteliData company. He believed that the Braille screen displays waste the time and he uses his memory and a voice synthesizer that reads the video display. One problem happened in the computer networks and he created the software needed to integrate the two networks.

There is a person ( Mr. suleyman Gokiygit ) who is whiz in computer because

This story is about blind person with a great memory.

He find a good job in a InteliData technologies corp.in this place best technicians work for prepare the better future for people.he can fix a big problem for them.because they couldn’t even send e-mail to each other.he uses a voice-synthesizer that reads the video display on his monitor and i think it is very difficult to memorize something without see that.

And also the chief of InteliData was proud of him because several month age he need specific number to access four files in his laptop.instead of search in laptop he called Mr Gokyigit and he told him in few second.

Btw i didn’t like this story but i understand disability isn’t good excuse for jobless.and also you must n’t forget godbecause

MY SUMERY

This reading is about a blind but talented young man of 18, who is named Suleyman Gokiygit. Although he is blind and it’s a big disability but he had hide that shortage by using and improving his other senses. Like other blind people he uses voice-synthesizer for speaking out the video display of monitor for him but unlike others Suleyman consider usage of devices that produce Brail screen as waste of time. He is successful in his job like a normal and healthy person or even more. Suleyman works for InteliData technologies corp. and his boss and all his cohorts consider him as a top programmer and technician in the company. They all remember his great helps on troubleshooting several big problems during last years. Once he solved a problem which no one of 350 technicians of the InteliData could solve it during three months.

This story reminds us of a proved point that every human has gotten a special ability and talent from Allah Almighty which she or he has to discover and use it during her or his life.

This story is about a person who has some special abilities. His name is suleyman Gokiygit, he is blind but very clever and intelligent. He is studying in Toledo university and works part-time at InteliData company.
His famousness is because of work he does. Fore example he produced a software that connected two big computer network. Work which nobody of employees couldn t do that in three months. Another case is that once his boss wanted to get into a computer but he forgot the numbers and instead of asking someone to look for them in thick logbook, he called suleyman and he recalled the numbers in ten second.
He also has ability to understand the inner structure of a machine and turning it to operational idea.

I dont try to go upper of my level in this summary, I dont know my level because i dont go any class but i read many science article , maybe for it? this summary is good or i should be better than?

it is good, but not based on structures.. I mean I sometimes lost the point while reading yr summary... I do recommend u to go thru some grammar books besides catching up on some articles....
but since u've never been in Eng class then I gotta say that was perfect...keep going:10:l

we didn't have a cat for a couple of years after one of our cats had died. and my parents didn't really want to get a pet because it was always hard for_ it was always hard for us the kids when one of the pets would die. but a lot of people used to bring in pets to where my dad would work cuz they would find them on the streets and they would need new homes. so one day... someone, one of the ladies who works for my dad, brought in a little cat. and she was little and she was pretty calm. and my dad picked her up and he took her and she just sat on his lap all day. and she was all cuddly and cute. and she was all so friendly. and she would follow him around. and my dad thought this would be the perfect pet for my kids. so he packs Snickers up in this little picnic basket and he brought her home in the car. he hadn't told any of us then. he got into the house. he just told me_ he's like "Stephanie, there's something in the car, go out and get it." so i went out into the car and pull up this picnic basket and all of a sudden this little head popped up. and i was like"it's a cat, it's a cat." and we were all so happy to have this cat. so i brought her into the house and all sudden she saw four little kid faces and eight little hands trying to reach out and grab her. and she ran and she hid in the closet. and from that very day on she hasn't been very friendly.

This is my grammar activity

First lesson about present perfect was explained by our friend Rayhaneh
This is the second lesson about present perfect and the lesson is not going to explain about structure but it will explain situations and adverbs that is used in this tense.

Unit 8

Present perfect 2 (I have done)
1. We use this tense to talk about a period of time or an unspecified time that has started in and continues up to now.
We often use adverbs like ever, never, since, for, up to now, recently, so far . . . and every adverbs that shows a period of time.

Examples:
1-1. Have you ever traveled to china?
No, I have never traveled to china.
1-2. I haven t eaten anything since morning.

1-3. Have you heard from ali recently?

1-4. Been (to) = visited:
Example: I have never been to china.

2. We also use this tense with defined time that has not finished yet. Like today, this year, and …
Examples:
2-1. I have drunk four cups of tea today.
2-2. I haven t studied hard this term

* Difference between these adverbs and adverbs in number 1 is that adverbs in number 2 are defined time apparently but in meaning they haven t finished yet, but adverbs in number 1 exactly show a period of time.

3. Finally we use present perfect to say something that has happened first time. (first time regarding recent period of time. Maybe it is actually first time like example1 or maybe it is not the first time but regarding that has happened before, it is the first time like example 2.
Example:
3-1. He is driving a car. It’s the first time he has driven a car.
3-2. He has lost his keys again. This is the third times he has lost them.
این ساختار را در مواردی که یک عمل یا یک موقعیت در یک دوره زمانی یا یک زمان نامشخص که در گذشته شروع شده و تا هم‌اکنون نیز ادامه دارد مورد استفاده قرار می‌دهیم.

مثال:

1-1 تا حالا به چین سفر کردی(کرده‌ای)؟

نه هیچ وقت به اونجا سفر نکردم(نکرده‌ام).

1-2 از صبح تا حالا چیزی نخوردم(نخورده‌ام)

1-3 اخیرا از علی خبری داری؟

هم چنین این ساختار را در مورد یک زمان مشخص که هنوز به اتمام نرسیده نیز مورد استفاده قرار می‌دهیم.

این مورد با مورد قبل تفاوتی ندارد فقط در مورد اول بطور مشخص یک بازه زمانی رو نشان میدهد ولی در مورد دومی ظاهرا یک نقطه زمانی را نشان میدهد ولی از نظر معنایی باز هم یک بازه زمانی مد نظر می‌باشد.

مثال:

2-1. امروز 4 فنجان چای خوردم ( خورده‌ام).

2-2. این ترم خوب (سخت) درس نخواندم(نخوانده‌ام).

نهایتا زمان حال کامل را برای بیان اعمالی که بار اول اتفاق افتاده است مورد استفاده قرار می‌دهیم.( منظور از بار اول ممکن است عملی باشد که واقعا بار اول اتفاق افتاده باشد مانند مثال 1 و یا اینکه دقیقا بار اول نباشد ولی با توجه به اینکه این عمل در گذشته اتفاق افتاده و یک بازه زمانی از آن طی شده است مجددا پس از این بازه زمانی اتفاق افتاده است.)

3-1. او در حال رانندگی است. اولین دفعه هست که ماشین می‌راند(رانده است).

3-2. دوباره کلیدهایش را گم کرده است. سومین دفعه هست که آنها را گم می‌کند(کرده است).

در مجموع همه موارد ذکر شده زمان حال کامل (present perfect) در یک بازه زمانی را که در گذشته آغاز شده و تا زمان فعلی ادامه دارد استفاده می‌شود، هر چند که شاید از نظر ظاهری اینطور نباشد ولی از لحاظ معنایی مد نظر می‌باشد.

Present perfect continuous

(I have been doing)

A: Is it raining?
No, but the ground is wet.
It has been raining.
Have/has been –ing is the present perfect continuous:

We use the present perfect continuous for an activity that has recently stopped or just stopped.
There is a connection with now:

*You’re out of breath. Have you been running? (= you’re out of breath now)
*Paul is very tired. He’s been working very hard. (= he’s tired now)

B: It began raining two hours ago and it is still raining.
How long has it been raining?
It has been raining for two hours.

We use the present perfect continuous in this way with how long, for… and since…. The activity is still happening (as in this example) or has just stopped.
*How long have you been learning English? (= you’re still learning English)
* Tim is still watching television. He’s been watching television all day.

C: compare I am doing and I have been doing:

حال کامل استمراری

ادامه جمله+مفعول+ ing +فعل+ been + Have/has +فاعل

این زمان نشان می دهد که کاری در گذشته در یک زمان معین یا نامعین شروع شده و تا زمان حال ادامه داشته و هنوز هم ادامه دارد.

البته در افعالیکه در حالت سکون هستند بهتر است از زمان حال کامل استمراری استفاده شود تا زمان حال کامل.
افعالیکه در حالت سکون هستند مثل:
Stay, sit, rest, work, sleep, live, stand, wait, talk, learn, look, lie, listen, study.

طرز شناختن حال کامل استمراری:

شناختن این زمان مثل حال کامل می باشد با این فرق که ماضی نقلی در زمان حال کامل می شود ولی ماضی نقلی استمراری هنوز در زمان حال ادامه دارد که البته حروف اضافه و یا قیودی که برای ماضی نقلی بکار می رود برای ماضی استمراری هم صدق می کند

.

- He is lying on the floor now.حال استمراری
- He has been lying there for two hours.حال کامل استمراری

طرز ساختن حال کامل استمراری:
این زمان را با ماضینقلی فعل بودن (have/has been) بعلاوه ی شکل (ing) فعل اصلی میسازند.

طرز منفی و سوالی کردن حال کامل استمراری:

در انگلیسیبریتانیایی عیناً مانند ماضی نقلی، سوالی و منفی می شود اما در دستور زبان انگلیسیآمریکایی، از فعل کمکی does برای سوالی کردن قبل از سوم شخص (she, He, It) و doesn’t بعد از آن برای منفی کردن استفاده می شود. و در بقیه اشخاص (I, You, We, They) از فعل کمکی do قبل از فاعل، برای سوالی کردن و don’t بعد از آن برای منفیکردن استفاده می شود.

Most of people like to associate with others so much and when they haven't close relations with others they feel loneliness feeling.The alone people feel nobody hear them well.When these people sense seclusion, they think that they have nobody.

We all sometimes feel loneliness feeling but loneliness feeling's some people is a chronic loneliness feeling.Chronic loneliness feeling is uncomfortable situation and it brings physics and mental disorders.It even can bring imminent death.Lately researches has shown who alone students have mental pressure more than other group students and they have bad situation asleep too.

Researchers researched in more than twenty countries then they discovered marrieds feel loneliness feeling less than bachelors.

The women and men find many different reasons for their loneliness.The men trounce themselves and the women trounce external causes.The men are bred as who start contacts and the women are bred as who wait and then answer.Maybe the men trounce themselves for they feel did a work for their loneliness while the women say why someone didn't telephone me.

How do you know that you are alone or not? If you say that you can't contact with others or you never find a ideal friend, maybe you will be alone forever

Disadvantages of LONLINESS

What is Loneliness?
Does it just mean: nobody is around you?
What are the disadvantages of loneliness?
Loneliness is not just being alone. Maybe you are in the group but you feel loneness again. Therefore I think we have two kinds of loneliness when you are physically alone and when you don t feel relax in the group, another type of loneliness. There are so many disadvantages for loneliness like feeling depressed after a while (can I use this collocation?), your social skills don t improve, you wouldn t be success in comparison when you are not alone.
When you are alone you don t have any interactions whit others and you have more time to think about everything. And it usually causes you think about negative issues. It means you think pessimistically and see everything in a bad way, then after a period of time you become depressed logically. Because it is result of pessimism.
Another disadvantage of loneliness is not improving your social and relationship skills. Because man is a social creature and he/she can grow in society. Having relationship and interactions whit other causes you face special situations and problems and make active your mind to solve them and eventually you learn how to act in this situation if you face it again.
One of the other disadvantages of loneliness is lack of success in life. I think it is a natural effect of two previous harms of loneliness. Because when you feel sick and depressed, you avoid of society then you can not have effective relationship and consequently your skills don t grow to comply your needs. And this means you are not successful. Because nowadays most important thing for succeeding is social relations.
Although loneness have so many disadvantages but it has some advantages too. For example you can sit somewhere alone and think about yourself and your behavior you had before and find your mistakes and finally reach to self knowing.
Therefore we sometimes need to be alone but we shouldn t allow it will became a habit.

My Writing
Loneliness ! I heard this word for the first time in a song of Anathema band . If I wanna say the truth about my feels , the mentioned word isn't so bad … sometimes that word make me enjoyment and can make me more happy and think better. I don’t know why but its right .
But in this subject (What Is The Disadvantage Of Being Alone) we can propound a question . Is there any Disadvantage in Being Alone ? my answer is Yes ! for sure seclusion is a psychical malady that can make humen as psycho by the period of time . unfortunately in today societies , so many people are alone and pensive . But why ? Is that answer unless mechanic life and dependence to machines ? Sometimes I have seen people that even don’t talk ! they can thalk but don’t … I think this is one of the disadvantage of being alone .
Being alone is an adjective that come worry after that . everybody that is alone hasn’t any friend or hasn’t any good respect with his/her frinds . this can bring worry after a long time .The last question that propound , is "what should people do for solve theme Loneliness?" my answer by truth is "I don’t know"

I joined the group frome 5 or 6 days ago and its why my essay isn't good . anyway please excuse my wrongs

Being of alone has several disadvantages for everybody, for example: unable to do some works, have a low supporation from others and be depressing.
We are able to do some works correctly but for others doing we need somebody’s help.This is included about personal and social works too. When we are alone, we get low supporation from others in our life. But we need to be perfect protection in our life. In long time, loneliness may be was serious reason for our depressing. Every body needs to have somebody in his life for support from mental aspect.
Finally, we should put equally between our solitude and relationship. In result of, we will have a normal life

What do you know about the disadvantages of loneliness? Some body who don't want to communicate with other people is an alone person and Loneliness has different levels. Some people are moody, some times they don't want to communicate with any other people and some time they don't feel good with loneliness and some people want to be alone in any situation.
Being alone has many advantages and disadvantages. Actually I've been a normal alone guy and I'll be alone for ever I guess. So I can tell you some disadvantages of being alone
It's pretty hard for an alone person to be happy. That's the first bad feeling of being alone in my opinion. No body pay much attention to an alone person because he/she don't talk to other people so no one knows his/er mistakes to pay attention to them and maybe it makes the alone person depressed and being depress is really dangerous and harmful for every one and it can cause mental or physical mistakes.
In my opinion every one need's some one to talk to and lean on, share his/er feelings, joys, sadness, secrets and etc, and an alone person can't bet for anything. He/she also can't tell any body how bad or good was the day and how bad/good luck was her/him for the day… and when the alone person want to really say something no one listen to him/her.
so It doesn't worth to be alone for long period of time and I suggest all of you not to leave you friends, family, partner and don't let the loneliness to overcome you. people around you need you, they feel you and maybe there is some one who loves you. You didn't created to spend your life lonely. so try enjoy your life and share it with others.

"THE DISADVANTAGES OF BEING ALONE"

Humans have been the sociable creatures at all times. They have been sharing their needs and ideas with each other .they have been organizing a big community in the best way which there is not any evidence from its creation. But with the advent of technology and new facilities in the recent centuries, people have been better and happier life by using some means like telephone, computer. Although the advantages of the new processes on both social matters and economical issues are influenced more than before, it is raised one important question: have human s tendencies and characteristics changed during this era due to the new development? Of course, the answer of this question is completely clear. Saying that one of its negative effects which they have had more influence on people has been that they tend to be intrinsic instead of extrinsic. Most of people usually like to lie down the sofa or armchair watching TV or to access to internet digging information more times for hours.

Being alone is a framework that could be taken for granted in the present .there are not any physical and emotional touches (contacts) among people .one of the main disadvantages of solitude could be related to a psychological process in this way that it can be very depressing and debilitating. Second, these groups of society can't communicate and share their ideas with others easily. Some people are feel loneliness in any age because of many reasons such as social, personal or economical one. Although being alone has its advantages in some point of view but it has its disadvantages. One of most important perniciousness of being alone is that living in her or him thought and far it away of real world. This one can cause of many mental diseases. Other disadvantage of being alone is no one to share things with and make the person to become selfish. The third one is no stimulating conversation, no partner in pain and these are can effect on the person.
In the elder age it’s a difficult problem since in this section individual needs a companion and sympathetic partner for her or his life to take care of it. So find a
good partner.

Loneliness ! I heard this word for the first time in a song of Anathema band . If I wanna say the truth about my feels , the mentioned word isn't so bad … sometimes that word makeS me enjoyment and can make me more happy and think better. I don’t know why but its right .
But in this subject (What Is The Disadvantage Of Being Alone) we can propound a question . Is there any Disadvantage in Being Alone ? my answer is Yes ! for sure seclusion is a psychical malady that can make humen as psycho by the period of time . unfortunately in today societies , so many people are alone and pensive . But why ? Is that answer unless mechanic life and dependence to machines ? Sometimes I have seen people that even don’t talk ! they can thalk but don’t … I think this is one of the disadvantage of being alone .
Being alone is an adjective that come worry after that . everybody that is alone hasn’t any friend or hasn’t any good respect with his/her frinds . this can bring worry after a long time .The last question that propound , is "what should people do for solve theme Loneliness?" my answer by truth is "I don’t know"

What is the disadvantage of being alone?

Being of alone has several disadvantages for everybody, for example: unable to do some works, have a low supporation from others and be depressing.
We are able to do some works correctly but for others doing we need somebody’s help.This is included about personal and social works too. When we are alone, we get low supporation from others in our life. But we need to be perfect protection in our life. In long time, loneliness may be was serious reason for our depressing. Every body needs to have somebody in his life for support from mental aspect.
Finally, we should put equally between our solitude and relationship. In result of, we will have a normal life

What do you know about the disadvantages of loneliness? Some body who don't want to communicate with other people is an alone person and Loneliness has different levels. Some people are moody, some times they don't want to communicate with any other people and some time they don't feel good with loneliness and some people want to be alone in any situation.
Being alone has many advantages and disadvantages. Actually I've been a normal alone guy and I'll be alone for ever I guess. So I can tell you some disadvantages of being alone
It's pretty hard for an alone person to be happy. That's the first bad feeling of being alone in my opinion. No body pay much attention to an alone person because he/she don't talk to other people so no one knows his/er mistakes to pay attention to them and maybe it makes the alone person depressed and being depress is really dangerous and harmful for every one and it can cause mental or physical mistakes.
In my opinion every one need's some one to talk to and lean on, share his/er feelings, joys, sadness, secrets and etc, and an alone person can't bet for anything. He/she also can't tell any body how bad or good was the day and how bad/good luck was her/him for the day… and when the alone person wantS to really say something no one listen to him/her.
so It doesn't worth to be alone for long period of time and I suggest all of you not to leave your friends, family, partner and don't let the loneliness to overcome you. people around you need you, they feel you and maybe there is some one who loves you. You didn't created to spend your life lonely. so try enjoy your life and share it with others.

You know i think i have the master degree in loneliness
Because i always was loneliness.it dosent means nobody wasn’t around me
It means i know people more than another .they want to use me and when i finish for them they forget me.they leave me and find new one
So i prefer to be alone it is not pretty bad. Of course you must work harder .You must ignore some heartbeat
And you become more moody than before
You can’t trust to other people
you lose your friends. I mean real friends
I have a lot of friend they always call me and want me to join them in party ,meeting,outside,but they aren’t real friends because when you have a problem they reject you.

Loneliness has many different types .sometimes people around us leave us alone, in this case we are forced to be alone and it's painful. In other case we chose by our self to be alone; this type can be more fruitful and less harmful. But as whole when loneliness becomes a long term situation or feeling and exceeds the time limit, then it harms the person and escaping from it becomes difficult.
The first disadvantage of loneliness is that it make its prey depressed and blue and draw away his/her hope of living and this feeling could be very destructive.
Human being is a social animal; he learns everything from his surroundings, people and things; obviously, when he goes away from them then he will not learn, enjoy and live a productive life.
As we have a quote in Persian, the mistake of a man remains hide and uncorrected until he begins speaking, it's true. So, loneliness in a way
prevents us from improving and correcting our faults.

even though I see no disadvantage of being alone, I wanna talk about probable disadvantages
.at first, I want to tell you my deduction about this
I think when you are alone there are some advantages and of course some disadvantages
and it is not justly if you think it has only AD or disAD
anyway....whenever I was alone in my life, I have made my best desicion, therefore I think loneliness is the time
for thinking, focussing of attention, listening to calm musics, watching some special movies, reading books and ascending your soul
and also when you are alone you can get rid of some people who you don't enjoy to connect them
in spite of this, you should be able to know how to relate to people
these ADs that I've mentioned above, don't mean that I advise you to be alone all the times
because in my opinion, if somebody remains alone for a long time; he'll get into a depression mood
and that is the first disAD of loneliness....the second one is getting lack of good public relations
(and it happens in a long time, too)

by the way I will be alone all the times, after this summer, because my best friend will go to Malaysia for living
he has been my friend for 10 years and we have had houndreds of good memories with each other

"THE DISADVANTAGES OF BEING ALONE"

Humans have been the sociable creatures at all times. They have been sharing their needs and ideas with each other .they have been organizing a big community in the best way which there is not any evidence from its creation. But with the advent of technology and new facilities in the recent centuries, people have been better and happier life by using some means like telephone, computer. Although the advantages of the new processes on both socialmatters and economical issues are influenced more than before, it is raised one important question: have human s tendencies and characteristics changed during this era due to the new development? Of course, the answer of this question is completely clear. Saying that one of its negative effects which they have had more influence on people has been that they tend to be intrinsic instead of extrinsic. Most of people usually like to lie down the sofa or armchair watching TV or to access to internet digging information more times for hours.

Being alone is a framework that could be taken for granted in the present .there are not any physical and emotional touches (contacts) among people .one of the main disadvantages of solitude could be related to a psychological process in this way that it can be very depressing and debilitating. Second, these groups of society can't communicate and share their ideas with others easily.
