you should try hard! you can listen speak and even write in English! for example if you are thinking its better to try to think in English and if you are writing "What to do" list its more better to write it in English!
by this way you can improve your English. and another thing : watch English language movies more and more!

I don’t study English language in university. I am just high school’s student. but I am going to entire for English language kokoor too.
So my dear English teacher advertised me some good books for this exams..
You should study around three fields.
Vocabulary book:
1) Vocabulary in used.
2) B.J. Tomas (2)
But he said (my teacher ) vocabulary in use is more better than
Grammar:
1) Barron’s toefl or Cambridge toefl
2 )grammar for English language’s kokoor. گرامر برای کنکور زبان انگلیسی ) )
Comprehension:
1) Bridging the gap.
Or sth els that u like. You can choose one of Ghalam chi or Ayandegan or Gaj or ...... books that you know .
They have some good short stories for comprehension.

I have been studying English for 15 years and entered university 3 years ago for interpretation. You ought to take different courses in listening, writing, speaking and immediate translation which is also called interpretation.
So, as you see, one had better have a considerable knowledge of English prior to making his/her mind up to continue education in this field.
In a nutshell, to be able to choose english as your accadamic major, you need to be persistant in using English, regardless of what you are foreced to study at university.
