It fully supports large hard disks, large memory, FAT32 drives, Long File Names (LFN), etc. It has lots of enhancements over older versions of DOS, such as MS-DOS 6.x. And at the same time, it offers excellent upward/downward compatibility. With it, you can run both Windows 3.x GUI and Windows 9x (95-98SE, a.k.a. Win4.x) GUI on top of MS-DOS 7.10.
