[ برای مشاهده لینک ، لطفا با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ]شرکت کپکام با انتشار بیانیه‌ای رسمی، از بازیکنان درخواست کرده است تا از تماشا یا اشتراک‌گذاری ویدیوهای گیم‌پلی بازی مورد انتظار Resident Evil Requiem که پیش از موعد در فضای مجازی پخش شده‌اند، خودداری کنند.
این ناشر ژاپنی اعلام کرده است که از دسترسی برخی افراد به نسخه‌های فیزیکی بازی پیش از عرضه رسمی مطلع بوده و با انتشاردهندگان این محتواها به صورت قانونی و با حذف ویدیوها برخورد خواهد کرد.
در پی لو رفتن نسخه‌های فیزیکی این بازی که قرار است در تاریخ ۲۷ فوریه (۸ اسفند) عرضه شود، ویدیوهای زیادی حاوی اسپویل‌های داستانی و جزئیات بسیار مهم در پلتفرم‌های مختلف مانند اینستاگرام، توییتر و انجمن‌هایی نظیر ردیت دست به دست می‌شود.
کپکام در بیانیه خود که خطاب به بازیکنان ژاپنی منتشر شد، تأکید کرد که انتشار این ویدیوها نه تنها نقض قانون کپی‌رایت است، بلکه باعث ناراحتی سایر بازیکنانی می‌شود که مشتاقانه منتظر تجربه بازی هستند. سازندگان با یادآوری اینکه این نسخه تلفیقی از «معما و تنش»‌ و «تجربه‌ای دلهره‌آور در برابر تهدیدات ناشناخته» است، از جامعه گیمرها خواستند تا با عدم تماشای این ویدیوها، تجربه بکر و هیجان‌انگیز بازی را برای خود و دیگران حفظ کنند.
