When you surf the Internet your Internet Service Provider assigns you a fixed IP address for the duration of your stay. The operators of Web sites you visit can use this IP address to monitor your surfing habits, thereby turning you into a "transparent user", so to speak. They can document how often you visit sites, how long you stay there, what software you download, whether you are a first-time visitor to a certain site and much more. With Steganos Internet Anonym 2006 you will outwit "Big Brother". Every second Steganos Internet Anonym 2006 provides you with a new camouflage identity. Just click on Enable anonymity to activate this feature - just check the active world map and the displayed location. You can then roam the Web at your ease – one second you will appear to be a surfer from Korea, the next second from Argentina, the next second from Italy and so on. With the map of the world you can follow how your camouflage address is constantly changing. Only your own Internet service provider and the anonymous proxy servers know your true IP address – the Web servers you visit cannot track your surfing habits.
Test anonymity
You can check your camouflage identity at any time with one click. In the main window of Steganos Internet Anonym 2006, select the option Test anonymity. This opens a Web site that provides detailed information on the IP address under which you are surfing, the name of the Internet provider you are using, your apparent country of origin, etc.
