Component Based Software Engineering-Case Study 2:
Title:
Developement of a 3-Tier System in .NET or J2EE
Description:
The main objective of this case study is to design and implement a 3-tier system in which the middle layer should be implemented using .NET or J2EE components. The students should first select one of theses technology and inplement their systems based on the selected technology. The business logic for this case study should be proposed by the students.
The main features of the system:
◦A presentation layer to retrieve and store information.
◦A business layer for development of the logic.
◦A data access layer for manupolation of data with a DB engine.
◦Connectors for connecting tiers to each others.
◦A design model in UML (Compont and class are mandatory diagrams).
