شرکت Adobe Systems نرم‌افزار جدیدی را به بازار عرضه کرده که به شرکت‌ها و سازمان‌ها امکان می‌دهد با سایت اینترنتی خود یک جایگاه ثابت در کامپیوترهای شخصی کاربران داشته باشند.
این نرم‌افزار جدید كه (Adobe Integrated Runtime(AIRنام گرفته است، به کاربران امکان می‌دهد با کلیک بر آیکونی که روی صفحه نمايش كامپيوتر آن‌ها وجود دارد، از ابزارها، محتویات و برنامه‌های سایت‌های اینترنتی در حالت off-line نيز استفاده کنند.
نرم‌افزار AIR بیش از یک مرورگر، امکانات و ابزارهای اینترنتی در اختیار کاربران می‌گذارد و برای اجرای برنامه‌های خود نیازی به مرورگرهای اینترنتی ندارد.
