Collectorz.com Movie Collector is a movie database to catalog your collection of DVDs, DivX files, VHS tapes, etc. Adding movies to the database is quick and easy - no typing needed. Just type the movie title and it will automatically download all information from various sources on the Internet (IMDb and DVD Empire), including the cover image. After adding your movies, the resulting database can be browsed, sorted and searched in various ways. Movie lists can be printed and exported to HTML, CSV files or XML. Use the integrated Loan Manager to track which movies you loaned and to whom.
Key features:
Create a personal DVD database
Catalog your collection of movies and TV series on DVD. Including all movie data (genre, studio, release year, cast, crew, etc.), episode titles and all DVD details (cover images, subtitles, audio tracks, features, etc.).

Download all data and images from our online DVD database
Adding a DVD to your database is quick and easy, just type the movie title or scan its barcode. The program will then automatically download all data and images from our own online DVD database (currently containing 80 thousand movies and 100 thousand DVD editions). Other data sources include IMDb and Amazon.

Browse, sort and search your DVD database on screen
Lists your movies in any order, either as list or in Image View. Group them in folders (e.g. by producer or genre). Use the Quick Search feature to find a movie in your database.

Browse your movies in Windows Media Center
Browse your movie collection and start linked movie files directly.

Print or export movie lists
Print a list of all movies or just a selection. Export lists to CSV, HTML or XML format (PRO only). Or export your list to the Notes section of your iPod and check it while in the DVD store (PRO only).

Track your loans (PRO edition only)
Always know who borrowed your DVDs and forgot to return them.

Available for Windows (inc. Vista) and Apple Mac OS X
The Windows edition runs on Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP and Windows Vista, and is available in the following languages: English, Dutch, German, French, Turkish, Polish, Croatian, Italian, Slovenian, Swedish, Greek, Russian, Danish.

Movie Collector Pro نام نرم افزاری از شرکت معروف collectorz می باشد که در زمینه ساخت نرم افزارهای مختلف در زمینه دسته بندی اطلاعات گوناگون فعالیت می کند. در این برنامه کاربران می توانند لیستی از فیلم ها ، تعداد آن ها ، ریز جزئییات و ... را تهیه کرده و به قسمت مربوط به هر فیلم ارائه نمایند. همچنین در این نرم افزار می توان به کمک اینترنت و سایت های بزرگی همچون Amazon اقدام به دریافت اطلاعات مربوط به یک فیلم و یا عکس آن نمود.


از ویژگی های این نرم افزار می توان به موارد زیر اشاره نمود:

Here's what's new:

New Movie Collector MCE viewer for Media Center
The most important change in v5.5 is the completely new viewer for Windows Media Center. This new viewer has been created by Brian Baskerville of mcezone.com.
(You have probably seen his "MC Organizer" posts on this forum.)

We are happy to announce that Collectorz.com and Brian Baskerville have reached an agreement to include Brian's great MCE software with Movie Collector (now renamed to "Movie Collector MCE").
We think the new viewer is a great improvement over the MCE support of previous Movie Collector versions, especially when used under Vista. We hope you like it too.

New in Movie Collector MCE (Note: some features are only available under Vista)
- cool new look and feel in several different views (Large Covers, Thumbnails and Titles)
- search by Title, Genre or Rating right from the MCE viewer
- use the on screen keyboard to find movies starting with a specific letter
- order your movie list by Title, Year or a Custom order
(defined in Movie Collector in Tools / Options / Media Center)
- Define a Filter for MCE data in Tools / Options / Media Center
- No exporting to MCE necessary, the MCE viewer always uses an up-to-date data set

Brian will keep maintaining and improving Movie Collector MCE, so please send us your suggestions, feature requests and bug reports.

New Screen Layout setting
The new "Screen Layout" selection for the main screen offers six different layout configurations of tree, list and details panel:
- Horizontal Split
- Vertical Split
- Full Width Details
- Full Height Tree
- Full Height Details
- Classic Layout (the pre v5.5 layout)

Improvements to the multi-disc and TV series / episodes support
- Movie items are now shown in the tree panel, so that they can be expanded to show their details
- Expand a movie item to see its Disc items.
- For TV series, expand a Disc items to see the episodes on that disc
- Select a Disc item in the tree panel to view its episodes in the List panel, including their Sequence Number, Title, First-Air Date, Plot, etc...

- Vista 64: Using the Images tab caused 'List Index out of bounds' error and Access Violations
- Vista 64: Details View templates did not show CSS background images
- For some movie file types, the play links in the Details View didn't work
- Corrupted user settings XML files could cause Range Check Error and Access Violations
- SendIt.com script stopped working due to their website changes
- My Movies import problems related to the encoding of special characters
- Movie Collector: various problems when there were duplicate Index values in the database.

*NOTE TO BRAINLESS NUKER:*

Going to ONCE AGAIN state the obvious because you can't seem to
use common sense and nuke a working release because of your
stupidity. So here we go again and state the obvious in each
release of any Collectorz.com applications:


We have for awhile now made searching at Collectorz.com work and
not show illegal key, allowing movie lookup to work from that
source, while another group's crack didn't allow any searching
there at all. Now of course if you add over the 50+ normal limit
for Movie Collector, and request data well over that limit from
that source in ONE BIG SEARCH, your going to be red flagged and
the server WILL block your IP and only your IP and say your
trial is up (and this is ONLY for retrieval of updates from
them). This again should be quite obvious with server side
protection and using a cracked application, but we give you the
option to still be able to download from them, nobody else could
before (we won't explain our method).

We will state it again clearly, don't search over that limit in
one large update to your database! Example would be 50 to 75
back to back automatic searches/updates in one use. If you do
half of the normal limit (25 searches) and more at a later time,
you'll be fine as we have patched the counter inside your
collection file. For people that refuse to listen (like you
nuker), you have been warned! Change your IP if you somehow
forget this, or wait for the ban to be lifted if you don't
listen. You still have ALL the other Pro features anyways.
Besides, if your using this program to store that many Movies,
its about time you paid for it and made that purchase to support
this great database manager.
