هم بالاخره وارد بازار تبلت ها می شود و نبرد خود را با iPad شرکت Apple آغاز می
کند. Steve Ballmer، مدیر عامل اجرایی این کمپانی، امروز طی رویدادی در لس آنجلس،
تبلت ۱۰٫۷ اینچی Microsoft را با عنوان Surface معرفی کرد.

۲ ورژن از تبلت
های Surface معرفی شده، اولی دارای سیستم عامل Windows RT است که از پردازنده های
NVIDIA ARM (احتمالاً Tegra 3 – چهار هسته ای) استفاده می کند و دیگری نیز از
پردازنده های چهار هسته ای Core i5 اینتل با عنوان Ivy Bridge بهره می گیرد و بر
روی Windows 8 Pro اجرا می شود.

هر دو نوع این تبلت ها دارای صفحه ۱۰٫۶
اینچی با قابلیت HD (رزولوشن ۱۹۲۰x1080px) و بهره گرفته از نسل دوم Corning Gorilla
Glass (ورقه ای شیشه ای که بسیار سبک، نازک و مقاوم است) می باشند. ضمن اینکه پورت
USB در اندازه کامل، پورت کارت های microSD و پورت HDMI نیز در این تبلت ها به چشم
می خورد. Surface با حافظه های مختلف ۶۴GB ،۳۲GB و ۱۲۸GB ارائه می
شود.

همچنین این تبلت دارای یک تکیه گاه داخلیست که می تواند آن را در وضعیت
ایستاده نگه دارد، به همراه یک پوشش محتوی کیبورد برای صفحه نمایشگر که به صورت
مغناطیسی به تبلت متصل می شود. این پوشش کیبوردی به دو صورت عرضه می شود، اولی پوشش
لمسیست که ۳ میلی متر ضخامت دارد و فقط با یک اشاره عمل می کند و دیگری یک پوشش ۵
میلی متریست با دکمه های فشاری برای کسانی که می خواهند احساسی مشابه کیبوردهای
استاندارد را داشته باشند.

قیمت این تبلت ها مدت کوتاهی قبل از انتشارشان
اعلام خواهد شد. انتظار می رود که ورژن Windows RT این تبلت همزمان با عرضه Windows
8 منتشر شود و ورژن Windows 8 Pro نیز ۹۰ روز بعد از آن ها وارد بازار می
شود.

What Is Microsoft Surface?

Microsoft doesn't want to take any chances with Windows 8—if it's going to be the best tablet OS ever, it's going to need some serious hardware. So Microsoft is getting serious and building its own tablet. Meet Surface.
The Microsoft Surface is a tablet and a PC at the same time...

Microsoft's home cooked tablet is a very thin cookie: the non-Pro version is only 9.3mm thick (a little less than the iPad), 1.5 pounds (a little more than iPad), and packs a 10.6-inch, 16:9 "ClearType" 1920 x 1080 display, available with either 32 or 64 GB of storage. ClearType is definitely aiming for a Retina connotation, although Microsoft's screen falls short of Apple's 264 pixels per inch at 208.

Inside, Surface packs tablet standards like front and rear-facing cameras, an SD slot, and a full-sized USB port, along with some neat tricks: magnesium casing, DisplayPort out, Gorilla Glass, a kickstand (hmm) and a subtle groove around the entirety of the device to help keep the Pro version cool. Microsoft also claims Surface will have the best Wi-Fi reception of any tablet, ever, with 2x2 MIMO antennae—in plain english, wireless antennae that are harder to block while you're holding the thing.
...that comes in two versions...

This is an Ugh!/Yeah! depending on who you are, but Surface, like everything Windows, will come in two flavors. The aforementioned super-skinny variant runs Windows RT on an ARM processor (like the one in your phone, or most other tablets), while the Pro copy runs an Ivy Bridge Core i5 x86 processor, USB 3.0, and other ultrabook-y specs. It'll be a little thicker (13.5mm) and heavier, though not by much. The Pro Surface will be available with either 64 or 128 GB of storage.

Surface is designed specifically for Windows 8's best tricks: it'll support semantic zoom (awesome!), a stylus (not awesome!), while providing a perfectly superflat frame for the perfectly superflat Metro UI. It'll also runOnly the Pro version will run the standard Windows desktop, the full OS, meaning requisite software like Office and Photoshop are on the go with you. The RT brother will only roll with Metro "apps," meaning tablet standards like Netflix. The Pro should be the best of both computing worlds, we'd hope.

But the Surface's cover also doubles as a full, extremely thin keyboard and multitouch trackpad, whereas the iPad's is just... a cover. This is a brilliant move on Microsoft's part—one of the most clever things it's ever squeezed out, and something that instantly makes Surface one of the most exciting devices we've eyed in some time. Unfortunately, no word on pricing (beyond a meaningless claim of "competitive"). Expect to pay tablet-ish prices for the RT version, laptop prices for the Pro version—probably right around the MacBook Air. As far as availability, we only know the RT will launch alongside Windows 8, and the Ivy Bridge super-version 90 days later. Hey look, a company that isn't Apple just built something awesome. جالب ترین و خلاقانه ترین چیز (شاید تنها خلاقیت) در این محصولات کیبردیه که مایکروسافت طراحی کرده که از طریق Accelerometer فشار دادن دکمه ها رو با 1.5 میلیمتر حس می کنه... جالب بود بدونیم چطور کار می کنه ولی مایکروسافت اجازه نداد حتی یک نفر هم بعد از ایونت به این کیبرد ها دست بزنه. احتمالا هنوز Tuning شون کار داره و آماده نیست، امیدوارم به موقع عرضه بشن بسیار ایده خلاقانه ایه!

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - When Microsoft Corp took the wraps off its Surface tablets on Monday in Los Angeles, it was the brightly hued keyboard that stole the show.
The "Touch Cover" - a protective cover-cum-keyboard - could be a key differentiator for Microsoft as it tries to dent Apple Inc's iPad franchise, analysts said. It also represents the latest turn in an intensifying philosophical debate about how humans can best interact with their machines.
In the early days of the Apple iPad, argument raged about whether the device could succeed without a traditional keyboard--a question the gadget's subsequent popularity seemingly settled. But the iPad's "virtual" keyboard, which senses the heat of a finger on the glass screen, is considered by most users to be unsuitable for extensive typing.
Before the iPad, the debate centered on whether the free-form stylus was the best tool for telling a computer what to do. Apple's Newton, the original personal digital device, used a stylus, as did previous Microsoft entries in the tablet arena. But stylus solutions have since fallen out of favor.
Recently, the conversation has shifted to contact-less interfaces, including voice-commands, a concept that Apple's own Siri brought to the fore, and gesture-recognition, as demonstrated in gaming by Microsoft's own Kinect.
Researchers are now even experimenting with computers that respond directly to electrical signals from the brain. Eventually one might only need to think of what the computer should do to make it happen.
In the meantime, though, Microsoft is betting that an improved version of the tried-and-true will be enough to make a difference.
ULTRATHIN DESIGN
The Touch Cover technology was developed at Microsoft by a researcher named Stevie Bathiche, according to Panos Panay, leader of the team that created the Microsoft Surface.
Executives showed off two keyboard models on Monday. The Touch Cover features an ultrathin design of 3 millimeters, without mechanical keys. A second, called the Type Cover, is 2 millimeters thicker and includes mechanical keys.
Both operate using the same multi-touch digitizer, which Microsoft said is 10 times faster than any keyboard in use today. The Touch Cover uses pressure-sensitivity to detect when a user is trying to input keystrokes, as opposed to simply resting fingertips on the home row.
"It knows the grams of force coming off my fingertips," Panay said as he demonstrated the product.
The keyboard clings magnetically to the Surface and can remain attached as a cover. It can be folded back while still connected, and its internal accelerometer turns it off while in the closed or folded-back position.
Rick Sherlund, an analyst with Nomura Securities, said the keyboard could be a critical feature for people who use the tablet not just for reading or viewing or browsing the Web, but for creating spreadsheets or documents or other types of written content.
"Is Microsoft going to beat Apple with a sexier tablet? I don't think so," Sherlund said. But he added: "You're going to want a keyboard with anything related to Windows."

مراسمشو دیدم
یعنی عجب تبلتی زده اولین سریش بیاد پردازنده اینتلیشو میگیرم

یه تیکه سوتی هم داشتنا ! تبلتی که دست بالمر بود و دادش به سینوفسکی وسط اجرا دکمه HOME ش از کار افتاد . سینوفسکی هم هر کاری کردن بدون جلب توجه درستش کنه نشد که نشدبدو بدو رفت یه دونه دیگه آورد

قیمتشم چیزی نگفتن

در یک کلام فوق العاده است...
طراحیش بی نظیر هست. چیزی مابین تبلت و PC، به طور کامل نیاز های افرادی که می خوان حرفه ای کار کنن رو براورده می کنه.

متاسفانه سیستم عامل هایی که روی سایر تبلت هاست بیشتر جنبه سرگرمی داره و نهایتا به درد چک کردن ایمیل و ... می خوره
ولی این یکی فوق العاده است. با داشتن ویندوز دیگه هیچ مشکلی از نظر استفاده از نرم افزار های تخصصی نخواهیم داشت.

قیمتی برای مدل Intel مشخص نشده؟ حدودا کی میاد؟
رمش چقدر هست؟ پردازنده گرافیکش چی هست؟
باتریش حدود چقدر جواب میده؟

دقیقا همون چیزی هست که من دنبالش بودم.
رفت جزء لیست خرید آینده...

انجام كارهاي حرفه اي و تخصصي روي اين حجم كم سخت افزار مشكلاتي مثل گرماي زياد، عمر باتري اندك و محدوديت صفحه نمايش رو به همراه نخواهد داشت؟
