با سلام خدمت دوستان. چند تا سوال:
به این دو جمله لطفا نگاه کنید:
Do u know where my new shoes are...noun clause
We are going to travel where nobody can find us for a while...adv cluase
همانطور که مشاهده میکنید، در جمله اول where و جمله بعدش رو noun clause معرفی کرده , و درجمله دوم adv clause . سوالم این هست که از کجا باید تشخیص بدیم چه جمله ای با where میشه noun cluase و چه جمله ای میشه adv cluase
همین مشکل رو بنده با whether or not هم دارم!!!
I dont know whether or not he will come....noun clause
I 'm not sure whether or not I want to go...adv clause
با سپاس ییکران.
As you see the verb in the first sentence, KNOW I mean, needs an object. Then the clause serves as the object of the sentence and an object is always a noun, so the first sentence contains a noun clause. However, the verb in the second sentence, TRAVEL I mean, cannot take an object, then the clause following it cannot serve as a noun. Instead, the verb "travel" needs an adverb, so the clause is an adverb one. The same is true about the sentences containing whether...... or. In your last sentence, "I'm not sure" cannot take an object, then the clause after it is an adverb one.
