سلام
من بخاطر اینکه کلا هارد هامو یک مدل وسترن می گیرم که مسئله اپدیت و نصب نداشته باشم یک هارد wd essential 1 ترابایت با رابط usb 2 داشتم ویک wd essential 2tb جدید با رابط usb 3 گرفتم.
توی این هارد جدید متوجه وجود نرم افزاری به نام WD Quick Formatter شدم که امکان فرمت کل هارد رو فراهم می کنه ولی یک نکته در راهنمای ان بود که نظر من رو جلب کرد:
About WD Quick Drive Format
The WD Quick Drive Format application lets you quickly initialize and reformat your WD external drive to the NTFS file system, and also to configure your drive to change the block size, if necessary (for drives larger than 2TB running Windows® XP). When you run the application, either to reformat your drive or configure it to change the block size, all existing data on your drive is erased and cannot be retrieved.
Configuring your Drive
XP Compatible. If you are running Windows XP and plug in a WD external drive larger than 2TB, it will not be recognized by your system until you select the XP compatible option to configure it to change the block size. After running the application using the XP Compatible option, the drive is recognized and can be used on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
Factory Default. If your WD external drive (larger than 2TB) has been configured to change the block size using the XP Compatible option, you may experience problems with some applications. If this occurs, run the Quick Drive Format application again and select the Factory Default option to return to the manufacturer's default block size settings.
Important note: Applications that do not support drives configured with the XP Compatible option (larger block size) can fail in several ways; for example, an error may be displayed, or the drive may crash or corrupt data without warning. Please review your application documentation carefully to ensure that it supports the larger block size configuration prior to running the application. If your WD external drive is larger than 2TB and you select the Factory Default setting, it will not be recognized by Windows XP.
To initialize and format your drive:
Back up any data you want to keep on a separate drive before starting the Quick Drive Format application.
Follow the on-screen instructions to initialize and format your drive. After completion, your WD drive is formatted to the NTFS file system.
To configure your drive using the XP Compatible option:
Back up any data you want to keep on a separate drive before starting the Quick Drive Format application.
Run the WD Quick Drive Format application.
Click XP Compatible; then click Format Drive. The drive is configured to enable the use of the drive on Windows XP, as well as Windows Vista and Windows 7.
To configure your drive using the Factory Default option:
Back up any data you want to keep on a separate drive before starting the Quick Drive Format application.
Run the WD Quick Drive Format application.
Click Factory Default; then click Format Drive. The drive is configured with the default manufacturer settings.
خوب همانطور که می بینید به مسئله ای در رابطه XP Compatible و Factory Default اشاره کرده که برای اینکه هارد در ظرفیت های بالای 2 ترا در xp توصیه کرده که از این حالت استفاده بشه تا سایز بلوک های هارد مجدد تنظیم بشه.
این مورد برای هارد های بالای 2 ترا لازم هست و خود 2 ترا و زیر ان نیازی به این کار نیست ( و ظاهرا خود نرم افزار می فهمه و گزینه رو حذف می کنه)
این تغییر سایز بلوک ها برای من سوال بود و سرچ کردم ببینم چیه ولی چیز بدرد بخوری جز مسئله محدودیت حجم 2 ترابایت در سیستم های 32 بیتی و استفاده از GPT ندیدم ایا به داستان این پیغام ربط دارد؟
چجوری حل می کنه این مسئله رو؟کسی اطلاعاتی در این زمینه یا اشاره ای به این مطلب می تواند بکند؟:13:
