شرکت سازنده مودم های ipw که داتک استفاده می کند ipwireless است که طبق شواهد با شرکت nextwave ادغام شده.(البته هنوز صفحات قدیم شرکت را با لینک های گوگل می توان دید ولی صفحه اصلی به سایت شرکت nextwave می ره)
این مدل ها که در پایین گذاشتم مدل هایی است که توسط شرکت ipwireless در زمان قبل از ادغام تولید شده
4 مدل است
یکی مختص نوت بوک و سه تا با قابلیت usb و lan .

خوب دو تا از مدل ها تو ایران هست دو تاش نیست. یک بررسی هم کردم بجز مدل مخصوص نوت بوک ها بقیه شان موقع ارتباط از طریق usb به سیستم های دو هسته ای مشکل قفل کردن رو دارن.
خوب اول بگم من نسخه اینگلیسی را فعلا می زارم. کسی ترجمه کرد .ترجمه اش را هم بزاره .:46:
برای نصب روی لینوکس و مکینتاش ظاهرا باید از تبدیل کننده usb به lan استفاده کنید.
در ویندوز های ویستا و xp و همچنین سیستم های دو هسته ای که مشکل نصب از طریق usb دارن باید از طریق درایوی که سایت woosh ( که توسط کاربر sunny4u ([ برای مشاهده لینک ، لطفا با نام کاربری خود وارد شوید یا ثبت نام کنید ]) در یکی از فروم ها پیدا کرده است ) استفاده کنید ….طبق ظواهر اولیه این درایو برای سیستم های 32 بیتی تا ویستا توسط سایت ارائه کننده اش تایید شده که به احتمال زیاد روی ویدوز seven هم نصب می شود ( البته تایید رسمی نمی کنم چون احتمال داره بعضی از دوستان رو ویندوز های 64 بیتی هم بتونن اجرا کنن ...و البته روش از طریق تبدیل کننده لن می توانید با هر سیستم عاملی تنظیمات رو انجام بدید)

پس از دانلود و در اوردن از زیپ پورت usb مودم رو به دستگاه وصل کنید بعد در ویندوز پس از پیغام پیدا کردن سخت افزار جدید ادرس پوشه باز شده درایو رو بدید تا مراحل نصب انجام شود..
طبق گفته دوستان در مرحله اول یک درایو برای شناسایی سخت افزار USB نصب می شود و در مرحله دوم هم درایو مودم نصب می شود...پس از یک بار ریفریش کردن سیستم روی My Computer کلیک راست کرده و properties رو انتخاب و در پنجره باز شده در بالا روی hardware و سپس روی device manager کلیک کنید .در پنجره ای که باز شده می توانید از نصب درایو usb و درایو مودمipw مطمئن شوید.

در ویندوز xp به ترتیب از بخش start>setting>Network Connections از یکی از دو طریق زیر
منو file و new connections و یا در لیست سمپ چپ صفحه create a new connections رو انتخاب کنید .بعد بع ترتیب مراحل زیر

در مرحله بعد یوزرنیم و پسورد رو وارد کنید

و در اخر finish را بزنید .بعد در داخل اکانت اینترنت بر روی properties کلیک کنید بعد در بالا روی تب
security کلیک و گزینه advanced رو انتخاب و تایید کنید ( این مرحله بر اساس تنظیمات پیش فرض کانکشن خود دستگاه گفتم ولی در این درایو به این مورد اشاره ای نشده)
در اخر به اینترنت وصل بشوید.
در مورد ویستا چون من نصب نکردم راهنمای دقیق نمی توانم بکنم و راهنمای اینگلیسی رو برای دوستان می گذارم...(از دوستان اگر کسی لطف کنه و مراحل ساخت و اتصال رو برای من بفرسته تا در راهنما بزارم ممنون می شم)
برای ویستا
1 Ensure that the Woosh Modem power cord is firmly inserted. Then connect the Woosh USB cable from the Modem to your computer. Windows will detect the Modem and ask to install driver software.
2 When asked, click on I don't have the disc. Show me other options and then Browse my computer for driver software. Locate the folder where you downloaded the drivers to then click Next. Then click and wait for Windows to install the drivers. Once this has completed successfully, click Close
NOTE: Windows may detect a second piece of new hardware. Follow this step again to install these drivers
3 Click on Start » Connect To. Then click on Set up a Connection or Network
NOTE: If no connections have been set up, Windows will warn that it cannot find any networks. Ignore this and click on Set up a Connection or Network
4 Select Set up a dial-up connection from the list and click Next. If you are asked to choose a modem, choose Wireless Broadband Modem (WDM)
5 Type in *99# as the phone number, then your username (including '@woosh.co.nz') and password, tick Remember this password, and change the Connection name to Woosh Wireless
6 Click Connect. After a few moments you should be successfully connected. Click Close to continue

How to connect your IPWireless Modem to a Windows PC via either USB, PPPoE or PCMCIA
To connect your IPWireless modem to a Windows PC, your computer must be using one of the following supported operating systems
Windows 98 Second Edition,
Windows Millennium,
Windows 2000
Windows XP
All the software you require to install the modem using either a USB, PPPoE or PCMCIA connection is provided on the IPWireless Client Software Windows Installation CD.
The windows installation software uses an Install Wizard that will guide you through the installation process. You will be asked to make selections on some of the installation screens.
Please be sure that your computer meets the minimum requirements before you begin the installation.
Close all programs that may be running on your PC
Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive on your computer.
The Windows operating system should detect the CD and start the installation program. If the installation program does not start automatically, open Windows Explorer and then choose My Computer and select your CD drive to view the contents of the CD. Double-click the 'Setup.exe' program to begin the installation. The Install Wizard will then guide you through the installation screens.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

IPWireless Linux Software Installation Support
How to connect your IPWireless Modem to a Linux PC with a PPPoE interface (connections via USB and PCMCIA are not directly supported by IPWireless although drivers may be available elsewhere on the internet).
To connect your IPWireless modem to a Linux PC (based on using Red Hat 9), you should not need any further software as the connection can be made via PPPoE, which usually means you can use the in-built Linux PC Ethernet client software.
To make use of this connection method you will require:
A proprietary Ethernet cable (Modem to RJ45 connector) which your operator may have provided with the sales pack (or can be obtained from your operator), and
To configure the modem so it sends the appropriate network authentication information.
As an aid for the set-up, basically do the following:
Ensure the modem has been pre-provisioned with the Network access username & password. The reason behind this is the modem has 2-levels of authentication - Network and ISP.
If the connection was via a USB cable with the standard IPWireless dialer software you would see the two tabs on the IPWireless windows application where you enter the "Network" & "ISP" password. However, with a PPPoE client (Linux, Mac, Router) you only have the option to enter the "ISP" username and password, therefore for the Network side authentication the information needs to be pre-provisioned and stored in the modem memory.
There are two ways to do this:
The operator has pre-provisioned the modem beforehand or,
Connect the modem with a Windows PC using the standard way and then use the IPWireless dialler application with either the USB or PPPoE interface. The reason for doing this is so that you will be able to connect to the Registration server and at the end of the registration process the Windows PC automatically writes the network authentication username/password information to the modem. Once this is completed you can change the modem back to the Linux PC
If the username/passwords are accepted, you will need to connect the modem to a Linux PC with the modem Ethernet cable. Turn the modem on, then off and then on again (the modem will automatically detect it needs to switch to Ethernet mode and use the PPPoE protocol as opposed to USB protocol).
Configure the Linux PC Built in Ethernet connection. Using Red Hat 9 you will need to configure the Wireless Broadband Modem as an adsl modem. Red Hat 9 ships a command line/script utility as part of the distribution.
Use the adsl-setup shell script which will prompt you for various pieces of information and sets up an /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0 configuration script for the adsl-start and adsl-stop scripts. Once adsl-setup has been run, it sets up the modem, pppd and sets the optimal MTU etc. as well.
To connect a session, use the adsl-start scripts. If all goes well you should see a few dots and "Connected!"
To disconnect the session, use the adsl-stop scripts.
Diagnosing Connection faults:
If the connection fails you may want to open up the file /var/log/messages with a text editor and have a look at the error messages. You can try searching the internet with the errors text to see if someone has had a similar problem.
If you're connected but you can't seem to load any web pages etc, open up the file /etc/resolv.conf with a text editor and make sure you have your ISP's name servers properly listed.

IPWireless Apple Macintosh Software Installation Support
How to connect your IPWireless Modem to an Apple MAC with a PPPoE interface (connections via USB and PCMCIA are not directly supported by IPWireless although drivers may be available elsewhere on the internet).
To connect your IPWireless modem to an Apple Mac computer, you should not need any further software to be installed as the connection can be made using the standard Apple Mac Ethernet software with the proprietary PPPoE cable.
To make use of this connection method you will require:

On the PPPoE tab set the password to - your ISP password
On the PPPoE tab select "connect using PPPoE", "Save Password" and the "Show PPPoE status" buttons
Set Apply Now
If all is ok, you should be able to connect without having to make further changes to the Mac, as the modem connects you should see the status information indicating progress etc. idle -> contacting PPPserver -> establishing connection -> authenticating user -> connected to <ip address>

NOTE: If no connections have been set up, Windows will warn that it cannot find any networks. Ignore this and click on Set up a Connection or Network
3 Select Connect to the Internet from the list and click Next. Then choose Broadband (PPPoE)
4 Type in your username (including '@woosh.co.nz') and password, tick Remember this password, and change the Connection name to ‘Woosh Wireless’

5 Click Connect. After a few moments you should be successfully connected. Click Close.
6 If asked to choose a Network Location, select Home, then click Close to complete this setting
7 Go back into Start » Connect To. You should now see your new Woosh connection. If it is currently shown as connected, right click and Disconnect
8 Right click on Woosh Wireless and select Properties. Click on the Options tab and set Idle time before hanging up to Never, and tick Redial if line is dropped. Click OK
9 Right click Woosh Wireless and choose Connect, then click Dial. Click Close to exit once connected

How to connect your IPWireless Modem to a Windows PC via either USB, PPPoE or PCMCIA
To connect your IPWireless modem to a Windows PC, your computer must be using one of the following supported operating systems
Windows 98 Second Edition,
Windows Millennium,
Windows 2000
Windows XP
All the software you require to install the modem using either a USB, PPPoE or PCMCIA connection is provided on the IPWireless Client Software Windows Installation CD.
The windows installation software uses an Install Wizard that will guide you through the installation process. You will be asked to make selections on some of the installation screens.
Please be sure that your computer meets the minimum requirements before you begin the installation.
Close all programs that may be running on your PC
Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive on your computer.
The Windows operating system should detect the CD and start the installation program. If the installation program does not start automatically, open Windows Explorer and then choose My Computer and select your CD drive to view the contents of the CD. Double-click the 'Setup.exe' program to begin the installation. The Install Wizard will then guide you through the installation screens.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

How to connect your IPWireless Modem to a Linux PC with a PPPoE interface (connections via USB and PCMCIA are not directly supported by IPWireless although drivers may be available elsewhere on the internet).
To connect your IPWireless modem to a Linux PC (based on using Red Hat 9), you should not need any further software as the connection can be made via PPPoE, which usually means you can use the in-built Linux PC Ethernet client software.
To make use of this connection method you will require:
A proprietary Ethernet cable (Modem to RJ45 connector) which your operator may have provided with the sales pack (or can be obtained from your operator), and
To configure the modem so it sends the appropriate network authentication information.
As an aid for the set-up, basically do the following:
Ensure the modem has been pre-provisioned with the Network access username & password. The reason behind this is the modem has 2-levels of authentication - Network and ISP.
If the connection was via a USB cable with the standard IPWireless dialer software you would see the two tabs on the IPWireless windows application where you enter the "Network" & "ISP" password. However, with a PPPoE client (Linux, Mac, Router) you only have the option to enter the "ISP" username and password, therefore for the Network side authentication the information needs to be pre-provisioned and stored in the modem memory.
There are two ways to do this:
The operator has pre-provisioned the modem beforehand or,
Connect the modem with a Windows PC using the standard way and then use the IPWireless dialler application with either the USB or PPPoE interface. The reason for doing this is so that you will be able to connect to the Registration server and at the end of the registration process the Windows PC automatically writes the network authentication username/password information to the modem. Once this is completed you can change the modem back to the Linux PC
If the username/passwords are accepted, you will need to connect the modem to a Linux PC with the modem Ethernet cable. Turn the modem on, then off and then on again (the modem will automatically detect it needs to switch to Ethernet mode and use the PPPoE protocol as opposed to USB protocol).
Configure the Linux PC Built in Ethernet connection. Using Red Hat 9 you will need to configure the Wireless Broadband Modem as an adsl modem. Red Hat 9 ships a command line/script utility as part of the distribution.
Use the adsl-setup shell script which will prompt you for various pieces of information and sets up an /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0 configuration script for the adsl-start and adsl-stop scripts. Once adsl-setup has been run, it sets up the modem, pppd and sets the optimal MTU etc. as well.
To connect a session, use the adsl-start scripts. If all goes well you should see a few dots and "Connected!"
To disconnect the session, use the adsl-stop scripts.
Diagnosing Connection faults:
If the connection fails you may want to open up the file /var/log/messages with a text editor and have a look at the error messages. You can try searching the internet with the errors text to see if someone has had a similar problem.
If you're connected but you can't seem to load any web pages etc, open up the file /etc/resolv.conf with a text editor and make sure you have your ISP's name servers properly listed.

How to connect your IPWireless Modem to an Apple MAC with a PPPoE interface (connections via USB and PCMCIA are not directly supported by IPWireless although drivers may be available elsewhere on the internet).

Set the location field - this could be any free text
Set the show field to - built in Ethernet
On the TCP/IP tab set the configure field to - Using PPP
On the PPPoE tab set the account name to - your ISP user name
On the PPPoE tab set the password to - your ISP password
On the PPPoE tab select "connect using PPPoE", "Save Password" and the "Show PPPoE status" buttons
Set Apply Now
If all is ok, you should be able to connect without having to make further changes to the Mac, as the modem connects you should see the status information indicating progress etc. idle -> contacting PPPserver -> establishing connection -> authenticating user -> connected to <ip address>
